    • @@rRobertSmith Nothing goes straight up. There will be plenty of big down days and plenty of reversals like today. But overall it should go much higher over the next year. It's all about earnings. As long as they continue to blow away earnings estimates, the stock will keep going much higher. When their growth finally slows down, the stock will take a big drop. But that shouldn't happen in the next year. Right now demand for their products is insane. I don't see that reversing any time soon. It will happen eventually, but it's probably not going to happen for at least a year or two, at the soonest.

Followed this company my whole living memory. Jensen doesn't miss. And he feels slighted, for performing for years, perfectly, and not getting any acknowledgement until just now (although you can tell he loves it.). He's gonna introduce skynet, for better or worse.

  • Amid the exciting era of AI chip advancements, like NVIDIA's latest reveal at GTC 2024, there's a shadow looming over the programming community-unemployment. The Blackwell platform and similar innovations promise unparalleled computational power and AI capabilities, paving the way for an AI-driven future. Yet, this leap forward brings a pressing question: What happens to our programmers? Integrating AI and automation into various sectors is significantly transforming the job landscape. While some view these advancements as a threat to programming jobs, suggesting potential job displacement, there's a broader perspective to consider. These technologies are not just about replacing human roles but rather evolving them. Programmers are now at a crossroads where adapting and enhancing their skills can open new doors to innovation and creativity. In this context, the unemployment issue isn't a foregone conclusion but a call to action. It's a reminder that the future belongs to those ready to learn, adapt, and embrace the new skills demanded by an AI-centric world. This isn't just about keeping up with technology; it's about leading the charge in crafting an AI-integrated future where programmers play an indispensable role. The challenge ahead is significant, but so are the opportunities-for those prepared to seize them. Let's discuss how programmers can best prepare for this shift. What opportunities do you see emerging from advancements like NVIDIA's Blackwell platform?" This comment aims to spark a constructive conversation around the potential impacts of AI advancements on employment in the programming sector, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
