This Taiwanese swordsmith once went to Japan to learn the art of forging samurai swords and returned to Taiwan to open a swordsmith workshop!
The forging of a Katana (samurai sword) demands meticulous craftsmanship,
and the entire process of crafting one can take several months.

  • 沒想到居然是台灣人,而且還是學習正統工法,國外的刀匠都是用鋼板去打,說真的那種就只能算是有武士刀外型的刀,做出來的本質就不一樣

    • 其實不管用什麼方法,做出來的都可以叫日本刀,只是鍛造方式不同而已,二戰日本軍刀也是投入相當大的資源去發展現代化技術去鍛造刀刃,成功超越古代玉鋼刀的性能,如滿鐵刀,能同時保留古法精神以及現代科技去提升性能及工藝,可以兼併兩者我覺得都是很不錯的。

    • 在以前沒有日本刀這種稱呼,是因為外國開始仿製後為了區分才有日本刀這種叫法,所以嚴格來說日本以外生產的刀不能稱為日本刀。這就跟日本和牛到了澳洲飼養要改稱澳洲和牛是一樣的意思,是為了區分產地

  • 玉钢碎片开始应该先用白纸包好,蘸上黄泥汤,然后滚上草木灰,再加热锻打。

    • 您說的那是比較傳統的用炭爐加熱的做法,這樣包覆是怕他散掉,用現代瓦斯爐就不用了,反而少了雜質

  • 江戸時代、名人たちは侍の刀を鍛えました。ステンディス鉄、ウィディア鋼、普通鋼などの硬鋼と軽鋼を混合して鍛造する。通常、江戸時代の名人は鍛造する前に鉄を一つの部品にまとめ、1000回以上折り曲げて高品質の刀を作りました。最後に玉鋼と真金を再度混ぜます。そのため、剣は非常に硬く、美しくなります。今、そんな剣を鍛えられる人がいるでしょうか?誰でもできるとは思いません。神々のために剣を鍛造する

  • The way how the blade is made is not the way of a real traditional Japanese sword smith. The final reasult can be very similar for people who are not envolved into the study of Japanese sword but in the reality this is something very different. We can not call this Japanese sword by any meaning.

  • Any link to this gay's business site? Japanese Katanas are too expensive for me at ~$20K. I refuse to buy Chinese forged ones irrespective of price or quality. Taiwanese seems like a good alternative.

  • 請问一件成品大約$?呎寸?是個人訂制定有通用大小?如1.8M高100KG重用多少才是好?😅

    • 訂製的武士刀沒有通用長度,太刀本身就沒有跟固定尺寸,工藝都一樣,差別在於長度不同,有不同名稱,從50公分的短刀到時150公分以上的大太刀,整個都可以統稱武士刀。 訂製想訂什麼長度都可以,但是實際上拿到會有一定誤差,這不要太計較師父就好。 一般來說在訂製個人用刀,刃長大約是身高的1/2,柄長約刃長的1/3,之後再根據個人使用習慣再增減長度。 所以只有概略長度,沒有通用長度。

    • 比較通用的刀刃長約兩呎五吋,但是依照身高可以選擇更長或更短一些的刀,當然如果所學的劍道派系,是更長的太刀或是較短的小太刀,那就是依照派系所需挑選了

    • 一般來說是右手握刀垂直平放以刀尖不碰觸地面為準,以免傷到刀尖或刀刃,小弟有幸能收藏陳老師的刀,也常常與陳老師的助理聊天,所以大概略懂一點…😊
