Manchester United's best game under Solskjaer 🔴 Remarkable Eight Consecutive Wins

Пікірлер
  • As bad as the ending was for Ole how this team made me feel at the begining of his tenure was amazing brought so much hope and belief back into the fans you could tell we were getting lucky sometimes but we were playing some great football at times, certainly more entertainment that we ever had under Van Gaal or Mourinho. Ole deserves more respect, no one has been able to succeed as United manager but he came close a few times. Before someone comments about an FA cup or League Cup I don't care they mean nothing to a club like United.

    • I knew it wouldn't last long either, but I so badly hoped it would. For a brief spell, it felt like the swashbuckling United of old, and boy, did it feel good. A lot more character in this squad. So many players who really had the heart for the game and team.

    • "FA Cup or League Cup means nothing for United" FA Cup made us complete historical treble. 1 of 3 relevant trophies. also, losing the FA Cup final last year made us lost the title of the only English team to win a treble. How's that don't mean something to United?

It was hard to apply possesion football style in United as Ten Hag wanted.. He brought Onana to apply it, but after half season, we could see the result.. Ole maybe was a traditional system coach, basically only with pragmatism a little similar with Mourinho, but we need to accept that, United was familiar with that style to create goal.

  • I only dream of being able to watch united under Ole again: - He had the best record against the top teams - He had a solid defensive record in his first full season - He created a team that was hard to beat - He had the most entertaining football - He invested in youth players That's more than any other manager has done since Sir Alex. His demise was mainly due to him being overruled in his transfer policy leading to him not being able to control the dressing room. The best managers hire based on personality AND talent. Not just talent alone. If the board wanted to bring Ole back, I wouldn't be against it.

    • @@davidtakyi14 how was it his best season when it was his first?? In the first place, I didn't say that Ten hag is great. Your Ole finished 3rd with 66 points and 2nd with 74 points. If you really think those points can win you a trophy then you have your own problems. Bad as Ten hag might be bad, he managed to collect more points than Mr Ole managed in his 3 campaigns. Both have no identity but Mr Ole was worse of the two.

His football might be good after Mou's sacking (and went dreadful + put us into relegation form after being announced as permanent manager until we sign Bruno) but United needs trophies. If style > trophies, go watch Brighton that never wins major trophies in their existence.

  • Still the only manager post SAF to score more than 5 goals in a game & more than 6 goals in a game. Those who cooed about Ten Hag being a tactical genius will need to work out his tea, scores less, concedes more & struggles against top six teams. He will go some to beat City four times in a row like Ole & at this rate I’ll be dead before they score five or mo in a game again never mind win a league title. Oh & statistically speaking Ole was the manager post SAF to get closest to challenging for a league title. The resigning of Ronaldo killed the team as he tried to accommodate a player I don’t think he wanted but had dropped on him by a CEO wanting that last big name signing before leaving his post. Ole I believe wanted someone younger to be the future with Cavani as the experience. Ironically Ten Hag has lost more games this season than Ole did when sacked & managed to be eliminated from the champions league quicker with the new record of most goals conceded in the group phase. Bar Martinez & Højlund he has overpaid for his other signings with only Casemiro showing any decent ability. The new keeper is woeful & not an upgrade on De Gea, Anthony isn’t good enough never mind being worth £80m & no surprise he got his first goal and assist against league two fodder, that’s about his level. Mount another flop is an insult to the number 7 shirt & let’s not even start with the loan players who have been awful. During his time in charge the only conclusion I have come to is that he is a fraud, and that’s the first time I have ever questioned a manager of United. He is not the manger to bring success back to the club & I’m willing to bet that by the time he goes that his win percentage will be lower than Ole’s. 22 goals in these 8 games, under ETH in the league they have managed 33 goals in 24 games.

  • Said it before and I'll keep saying it. Ole got himself to blame for his own firing. He never, ever, ever held his players accountable. Contrary to all the so called pundits with their criticism, old knew what he was doing tactically and strategically. His problem was the never had it in him to bring out the hair dyer treatment. It's not his personality, but he would have been well served if he incorporated into his Management. He's a players guy and they all took advantage of that. And once that cat is out of the bag , you can't get it back. The symbolism of Ole actually giving Harry Maguire a low five as he walked off after getting a stupid red card is all you need to know. Think SAF would have treated Maguire that way, hell no. One doesn't have to be dictator as a Manager , but their must be some sort of fear factor when Managing a team. And none of the United players feared Ole and he never held them accountable.....so he deserved to be fired. But of all the United Managers since SAF, Ole was the closest they came to getting back to where they were. Remember, it was Ole, after being criticized for giving up goals and having to always come from behind, that said, I'd rather win 5-3 or 4-1 than 1-0 or 2-1. And under Ole United scored the most goals during a season since SAF's United. Flash forward to today and United are on pace for 42 goals..in 38 games. He's a good Man and a good Manager, United needed him to be a harder Manager.
