  • Take that heart, core it. Slice along the main seam on the side, so you're left with two flat-ish chunks. Take ALLL the little white "heart strings" out, so you just have two flat-ish, thin sections of heart meat. Salt well. Stick it in a bag with lime juice and cilantro, no more than 45 mins (the meat will start to grey at that point). Get your grill so hot you almost burn your hand opening the lid. Sear each chunk on each side, JUST till the edges get a bit charred. Slice thin, across the grain. Put that on a corn tortilla with homemade pico de gallo, and a bit of queso fresco. Corazon carne asada style my friends. You'll never eat better!

  • 780 yards is over 4/10ths of a mile. Can't say I'm a fan of such long range shooting. It's an accomplishment yes, but is it sporting and respectful of the animal? Getting closer is more frustrating and challenging to be sure, but that makes success that much more satisfying.

I’m curious what length barrel you went with? This is a huge topic of discussion with this caliber as I’m sure you’re aware. I actually thought it said Hill country rifle, that’s the builder of my gun lol as that’s why I watched it. Didn’t realize it was High country rifle. Don’t know if you Chronographed your rounds but if so if you could share that it would be appreciated

  • Way to get with it gents! One thing I don’t get is guys who put in so much time and effort into a hunt just to sit on their thumbs at the top of the ridge hopefully something happens… I’m all about pounding timber I’ve taken many nice bucks still hunting threw thick timber… I am not one to sit and let things happen lol I guess that’s why I have only sat in a tree stand for 2 minutes lmao killed my biggest whitetail with a bow that sit tho but yeah I have to leave it all out there and go home knowing I pushed my self to the limit! Mad props for grinding and filling that freezer! Stay safe wish you all good health and happiness ✊🏽
