"just change some code for the PS4 edition and import it into the Xbox One Edition" ... it really is not that simple. Yes, the Xbox One definitely would be capable of running it, but that's not the reason why the update is not on there. There's just not enough value to put the work hours (and thus money) into it. Development takes much more than just changing a few lines of code and much more than just a handful of developers.

The reason playstation got the village and pillage update dates back to when the better together update first came about. At the time PlayStation refused to have crossplay with xbox for their platform so they never got the bedrock edition and instead got the updates on legacy. Until they eventually agreed to it in about 2019 and ps4 legacy got discontinued. The whole thing all comes down to the better together update which in my opinion should of combined most of the legacy editions instead of using the dreaded pocket edition.

That wouldn't have been feasable or even posssible with how the versions were all made
I mean if it was recoded it would have been way better than bugrock
@@MiniMasterGG they would have had to completely rebuild the game from the ground up. The different console versions aren't even all coded in the same languages I'm pretty sure. The team already had a very rough time coding the waterlogged blocks and that was 7 updates ago. Overall (yes bugrock sucks) it was a good choice to pick it given how it runs on the backend and how it's structured
