Plastic or Wood - Woodworking Marker DIY [4K]

I have one 3D printed "woodworking marker" that I use in my workshop. This tool has caught the attention of some of my followers. I thought I could do the same with wood. I started with a solid piece of wood. First I made it to the dimensions I wanted. I used planer and bandsaw. Then I shaped it by looking at the dimension PDF document I prepared. It is possible to use this #woodworkingmarker for 90 degree and 45 degree angles. It is also possible to make error-free markings. After you download the PDF document, you can easily do it by looking at the dimensions. I think I like the wooden one more. Which one do you prefer? The 3D printed plastic one or the wood woodworking marker?

  • Lovely job well done sir, it would probably be quicker to 3D print the thing but I prefer your version because 1, it's not plastic but real wood, 2 it's hand crafted and carefully done and lastly it looks far superior to the plastic thing 😀 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍

  • 6:15 That flaw in the groove to the upper right is the reason you shouldn't make your passes in that direction. By doing that, the bit will try to force the workpiece *away* from the fence and remove too much material, which happened here.

    • Naja was ihr immer nur alle an Holz immer besser findet .... Material das sich verzieht, quilt, anfällig gegen Schädlinge und schwimmt in Milch. Nebenbei ich bin Schreiner aber für mansche Dinge, und das wäre m.M. nach keine Markierungslehre, ist Holz nicht unbedingt die erste Wahl. Ja man kann sich auch komplett ankacken haste Recht aber in dem Fall ist die gedruckte Variante mit Sicherheit vorzuziehen. Gute Materialwahl wäre z.B. Abfallstück HPL ! Schönen Gruss ArmiN

    • Hi, I downloaded the stl file from tingiverse.com. I checked a little while ago but I couldn't find it. I think they removed it. Unfortunately, I deleted it from my computer. I'm so sorry. I am thinking of making woodworking tool designs that can be printed with a 3D printer in the future. If you are interested, please follow me.

  • Güzel çalışma. Hazır alacak biri için plastik olan tercih edilebilir. Ama kendi yaptığınız ahşap size taha iyi keyif veriri.
