I watched all yoir reviews and picked🎉 The first year was mostly problem free. The second year til now, it's died 6x when I'm out driving with kiddos in tow. Acura cannot figure it out. • Joe, thanks for bringing us up to date. I was close to deciding on the TX but didn't really want a turbo 4. Decided to see what was on deck for the 2025 MDX and was prepared to be disappointed with a T4 but thankfully the V6 is still in action. • Another terrific Joe Raiti Car Review !! "playing with my baseballs" offers some comic relief! I am really liking the front end refresh compared to my 22 MDX Advance. Thank God Acura chucked the TTIP for a new Touch Screen Info T. System! After over 30 months using mine, it still frustrates me - but I should qualify the comment in that I have not used it on long commuter trips (Retired guy who drives mostly locally). Furthermore, most people don't take advantage of the ShortCuts Icon to help the ease of regularly used items , and the HUD helps too. Acura was smart to keep that removable center console / seat for the rear! I would think that Acuar made a $$$$$ decision on the switch of Sound Systems : The ELS sound system is spectacular to my Ears!. From what I can see, which you don't emphasize, is that th Touch Screen seems to "fix" that downright Awful AA or CP system. With the TTIP, when switched to AA or CP, the touch pad operates as very S L O W mouse pad - forci ng me to take my eyes off the road and look at the screen searching for the movement to various Icons to select (MUsic Sources, Google Maps, Waze , etc). And when you used AA (or CP), the center console USB port cannot play Flash Drives of your Music !!. I think a Sport Hybrid model (like in 2018-2020) MDX would be a Home Run. The best of both worlds between an Advance or A-Spec Advance & Type S . The Sport Hybrid used the 3.0L Engine with a small electric motor boost that delivered about 310-315 HP, more Torque than the current non Type S models, and about 15% Better MPGs! For a just a $2K more in price over the Advance. That is a No -Brainer!!

    @NinjaNick636@NinjaNick636Ай бұрын
    • My 22 MDX Advance lease is up in August 2024. I'm facing a dilemna, a kind of crossroad of choice. I could buy my MDX (which will have about 21K miles on it) for $38,5K OR Lease a new 25 MDX Advance OR lease a new 25 MDX Type S!. I must say, I like the Refeshed front end on the Advance over the Type S. Acura would have made My Decision a little easier had they produced a Sport Hybrid [like 2018-2020] using the 3.0L engine with an electric Booster engine which produced about 10-12% more HP./ Torque AND 15% Better MPGs!! That would be the Complete NO-Brainer. Like Goldilocks, a Sport Hybrid 25 MDX Advance would have been "Just Right". I am liking that finally Acura honed up to their "mistake" with the TTIP. Even after 30 months of use, the Touch pad is still somewhat frustrating and downright awful in AA or CP which makes it operate like a SLOW mouse. I really don't need a 3 Row SUV, but I really LIKE (I use love for people) my MDX - it's design, handling, ride, comfort and features and that great Sound System (I wonder how the new B & O sound system will sound? _ I wonder why they chnaged it ??).

      @Chiroman527@Chiroman527Ай бұрын
    • I don't recommend the MDX Type-S if you are in an area with bad roads, the low-profile tires go flat easily on bad roads, that's why my parents got the MDX Advance over the Type-S back when they were in the market

    • @@Chiroman527 I couldn’t agree more with you! Especially with the stupid track pad. I came from a duel screen TLX before the MDX. I was so disappointed with the touchpad but they gave me a good deal on trading in my TLX. I had two kids and that car was too much of a pain. Honestly the MDX isn’t much better. I’m debating on getting something a little bigger

    • this is from someone who only cares about the engine, and doesn’t care about anything else.😂 I can get previous gen accord sport 2.0T and spend less than Mercedes with similar engine and power.😂

  • Not a great package as 3 row. Pilot is bigger and better in 3rd row. Also timing belt.
