The X5 is the only BMW they haven't destroyed with the new bizzare styling changes. It looks, drives and performs great. Easily one of the best in class.
x7 is great too
the split front lights are a deal breaker for quite a few people@@Dima1415
Previous model is nicer and looks more expensive, this has a quite cheap interior as well.
You guys doing great job 💯👍
Congrats on hitting 300k subscribers! That's awesome:)
Thank you very much! 🎉🎉🎉
WAS WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!
Good vid this week. Thanks, guys! 🙂
Thanks for the details on the new BMW X5. Looking forward to hearing about the X3. Love the changes they made, but ouch on the pricing.
Thanks for providing us with details so it makes it easy to know which car to get.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great review as usual, you guys do it best. I agree with and would LOVE to follow Zack's advice to drive the various suspension/wheel options before I order what I want, but my experience has been I am lucky to drive ANY X5, let alone the configuration I think I want to own. That's why in-depth, detailed reviews that give opinions and provide suggestions on the options (like you do!) are so valuable.
Luv u both Great content Thank You
Love all your reviews! Thank you - One question - do you happen to know what the name of the wood trim was in this model? I don't think this exact trim is available in the US. (if it was I would love to get it as I have a X5 50e on order.
I stand corrected. You had several comparisons to the Q7. Thanks. 😊
Thank you guys. Very genuine to the point practical evaluation to guide potential buyers. Well done
It is refreshing to see a new BMW which actually has nice styling.
Love your format of the presentation ... I have subscribed and like ... Have a great weekend
At about 9:47, Zach mentions “Clamshell” while describing the X5 boot. It should actually be “ Split tailgate” as Clamshell is a patented Audi design
After watching your X5 review in 2021 a couple of times, I bought a new 2021 X5 xDrive40i. I tested drove GLE350, GLE450 and X5 40i, I decided to go with X5 40i. Thank you for the review.
Great choice!
have you had any warranty issues? How many miles do you have? thanks
Hope you guys had a nice vacation !! Please review 2024 Mercedes GLE450e PHEV
Very good review. We are happy owners of this vehicle since May. Love it. We left MB for this due to reviews. So far so good. Thank you for all that you do for us on educating us about various vehicles. You guys are great.
Thank you so much and congratulations! Really glad you are enjoying your new X5, it's a great SUV.
@@andreaspencer9813 Can you get the Bowers and Wilkins on the 40i? Is the 40i more of a comfortable ride than the 60i? or the 40i with the msport appearance package?
Great review. Sounds like it will be successful, but it sounds like I would enjoy CPO X5 more. As much as I don’t appreciate the “softening” of the mainline Beemers, going soft probably helps with market share.
You two have that formula down pact. Nice video.
Thank you so much!
I really liked the engine, power and performance that makes the BMW X5 among the best SUVs... I liked seeing you driving in white clogs. I wish success and many sales.
Very nice car but in Eastern Europe the X5,Q7 and Range Rover all suffer from acute form of Houdini syndrome-no matter how well you lock them at night, in the morning they have somehow managed to escape.😂😂😂
What? Lol
He's talking about rampant theft by foreigners in Europe.
Greetings from oakville its your regular visitor and I recently came back from California and saw the fisker pear and Alaska at an special invitation only because my sister and husband both have jobs that allow them these rare opportunities, I think since both are being built in the United States better for the US 🇺🇸
Are you guys planning of doing a review of the new M3 Competition anytime soon?
If only the dealer experience was better. Every time we take our car in for service (at least in our dealership) there always seems to be an issue and customers are left feeling that the Service Dept is doing them a favor.
Excellent review. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Always good and honest review. Specially taking into account price of all cars. This couple always looks out for their audiences wallets.
Thank you, glad you liked it.
Looking out for folk's wallets is a tough task these days when reviewing German automobiles lol
It would be fully honest if they say that those cars will lose 50% of their value in 5 years due lack of reliability and high maintenance cost
@@anthonyfonseca5550 I think that's common knowledge for all German luxury haha ❤️😀
it's sooooo prettyyy ❤
YT-channel odometer: 299K on 12 August 2023 (for a future reference).
X5 🔥
You can change / adjust air suspension to change the harder suspension for sports option.
My dream vehicle. I will have one of these, soon come. ❤
Best reviewers in the business.
Thank you so much!
Zack got a new gun!
This is a great-looking vehicle! I love that BMW did not mess up the headlights as they did the X7’s. BMW has to do a better job with the integration of the digital screens. They would look better if they sat flush on the dashboard, the way Kia does it with the Telluride. Overall, though, this thing looks great! And that’s a pano roof!
Leg room is super important for me as a tall driver 6’6” with tall teenagers. Unfortunately the X5 isn’t great for tall people. The q7 and even the GLE are still the better option for me. Too bad as there is much to love about the X5. :)
I’d swap out run flats for a conventional tire. Less noise, smother more compliant ride and stay with 21” maximum side wall. BMW has a nice 21” wheel option. The turbo 6 mild hybrid is the way to go and I don’t need a 3rd row, so more cargo space. Good MPG and power! Interior is perfect but less knobs means more distractions. It’s my fav SUV at about $82k USD. Good review. 👍
I bought this exact model! The entertainment system shut down twice unexpectedly!
540 miles is impressive for full tank, say you spend 80 bucks on fuel, that could last close to 3 weeks for a 30 mile round trip to work
I thought Vancouver was always rainy?!! Wouldn’t tell by your videos.
Not in the middle of the summer... Ask Google to help you. She knows A LOT of things and answers questions free of charge.
i love my 2021 X5 40i with third row. I don't use it often, but when I do, it's so practical. I have 3 kids, 9, 7 and 5. When we go on longer trips, its great separating them and when i have an extra pass or two, i can pack the car with ppl. Love your reviews guys, keep them coming.
have you had any problems or warranty claims? How many miles do you have? thank you
This is one great looking BMW, which is unfortunately a rare occurrence lately. I'm happy that the unsightly beaver teeth grill hasn't taken over the full BMW lineup (yet?).
Throw in a few comparisons to the Audi Q8. Thanks.
As always, your videos are fantastic. You highlight the good and bad with helpful insights. I’ve been wondering why there was no 2024 X5 video yet, so very glad to see one. This car is the sweet spot in the luxury midsize SUV segment. When it comes to performance, luxury, comfort, efficiency and yes, even value. When you see something like the GLE with a wound up four banger for the same price, it’s no contest. So I ordered an X5 xdrive40i in the lovely Tanzanite Blue. Also got cognac Sensafin instead of the leather because it felt just as good and should be easier to maintain. Anyways, thanks for your reviews. They’ve been a big help when car shopping. Kudos. PS To your comments about the MDX and Q7, it’s true that those are good options in some ways. The one thing that makes a huge difference is fuel economy. The Acura and Audi have significantly worse fuel economy as compared to the BMW
Hope you like it. I just ordered that blue, with M Sport and M Pro, black 22-inch wheels and white leather. Gave a hard look to Acura and Audi, and even Mazda, but they all fall short one way or another.
Zack,what is an apple cart?
Dose this X5 have ADAS system.?
Why did you not include the Lexus RX 500h in your four optional comparison?
I picked up my 2024 X5 50e in May and like it a lot. I went with the 21 inch wheels and they are very comfortable; nothing jittery about the ride. The only thing I don`t like is the climate controls in the screen. And this Sensafin stuff is super nice. Easy to clean and doesn`t get too hot or cold. Great ride and awesome mpg.
I love that no matter what Andrea's driving .... Moped or a big engine - she hammers the throttle - NO MATTER WHAT. (always wearing the red boots). LOL
As usual, a fine and interesting review. A couple of follow-up questions: (1) For rural residents is there a spare tire option? BMW US usually offers one, but BMW Canada usually does not (I've asked) for some reason. I once had to flatbed my X3 180 km because of a run flat sidewall failure. (2) I think HUD is great, but older BMW HUDs did not integrate with Apple CarPlay turn-by-turn directions. Fixed? (3) Your review car(s) seem to have low profile tires ... great for tire and rim repair shops but bad for rural residents like me (or pothole ridden roads in Montreal and Toronto). Thanks for a great channel.
US BMW for this model there is no option for spare. The battery takes up the space.
Of the German full size SUVs (save the G-wagons), I think BMW has been nailing this market from the beginning. Every generation of the X5 gets a little better in every way (looks, interior, F & F, etc.). Better… but never better than the British icons offered from Land Rover. Except in … resale, new prices, reliability, maintenance, fuel mileage, parts/dealership prices, electronics (screens), fuel management systems, etc…. So that’s why I’d prefer the Range Rover. Makes sense… right? Probably not. But of the Germans, in a game of Top Trumps…? The BMW X5 all day long. Especially if modified by Alpina. Thanks for the video.
Andrea’s exhilaration at the launch literally made me giggle out loud!!! Her joy was infectious!!! It was like watching a kid on a carnival ride saying “Weeee!!!” and having a blast! 😍😍😍😍😍
I have the 2022 version of this. I much prefer my screen lay out with physical climate control. Also doubt power is up at all, but rather they are simply being more accurate. Love my 2022. Exterior tweaks look good though
Have you had any problems or warranty issues? How many miles do you have? thank you
No issues at all. 48k. Surprising fast. And surprisingly good on gas.
Just bought a 2024 X5 with M sport package. 21” mixed run flat tires. I think it’s a great combination. I would actually like the wheel to be a little more stiff like my m440i. Sport mode is a little bit better. Comfort the wheel is really soft. Touch screen everything is a pain at first but I have gotten used to it. My Q8 had touch screen everything so I guess that’s the way things are going.
Run flat tires suck. They wear out faster and ride much rougher.
They are mixed so they ride much better than a low profile tire. I love run flats being a woman for safety reasons.
Why wasn’t the Lexus not included in your analysis?
I can’t build an X5 with the B&W stereo, only the X7. Is that only in the US I wonder? The Harmon Kardon just doesn’t do it for me.
Which do you like more for daily use X5 or X3?
3rd row seating is still an option in Sweden, but only with the 30d engine choice. Hopefully they will add it to 40i and 40d soon as they had with pre-LCI. But neither 40i or 40d is an option right now.
Why are there red flashing lights on the screen
This is a car that would grow on you looks wise. Nicer rear than front end but like you both I agree, the interia is where its at.
That's where the biggest changes were made and I think iDrive 8 is great.
@andreaspencer9813 Most definitely you can see the work they've put into this area for sure.
doing 1000 mpw and having had the RRS and X5 45e im now back in in new X5 with a remap stage 1 to 500bhp drive way better than RR or Q7
Is the seats not ventilated and only heated? Also which has better ride comfort compared to an Audi or the previous generation X5?
You can get ventilated seats as an option with leather seating luxury package in US also includes message and heated arm rests!
Agree, Very nice but expensive to service at the BMW dealership East Coast. Agree at that price, should be leather standard!
Free maintenance for first three years, after that you’re on your own!
Glad they kept the basic X5 styling. The X7 is butt ugly. If you need an occasional 3rd row go Q7. Love your reviews.
Where is Zack’s lap seat belt? Is that an option? Lol
Andrea and Zack, I wanted to be one of the first on here to express how much I love your content. Please never stop! Hany
Hi Hany, thank you very much, we appreciate the support, means a lot to us.
I love it when it gets to the subscribe section 😂
Many people don't like all elwctronic interior. It takes forever to get through menus, no buttons, no shortcuts.
Actually, not true. There are shortcuts.
@scooter5940 these shortcut are useless
Very nice! 👍🏻 The exterior is ok but interior is an interesting design. The front seats looks very comfortable but backseats could do a little better. Good gas mileage tho. Zack still talking about mother-in-law! 😂 Great show Andrea! 👍🏻👍🏻☕️☕️
We are going to my Mom's for dinner tomorrow, he may not get any dinner....lol!! Glad you enjoyed the show.
@@andreaspencer9813 😂 👍🏻
I have to agree with Zach, nice SUV but too damn expensive!! Andrea you're so right for the price it should be a leather interior 🤨. Great review guys 👍
What colour is this green?
I believe x5 it’s the winner of this group’s, thanks 🙏
The price is getting up there an all vehicles. There is obviously plenty of competition in this segment, or someone price sensitive could drop down to an MDX Type S. Point is, it’s not like all of these manufacturers are gouging. They are just getting expensive to build!
Nice wheels but you'd have to take a week off of work just to clean them! Always wanted a grey interior but has eluded me.
😂very true
Lovely vehicle but the price hurts my heart.
Great car but not enough rear legroom for taller drivers. Deal killer for me!
Who drives from the rear seat?
I think that the lack of physical HVAC controls will be an issue for a lot of people. Didn't the 2023 have physical controls?
Honestly, you get used it it. Not the best, but with all the updates for the 24’ model year it’s still worth it.
What color is that
Not bad at all, but gimme a Porsche E-Hybrid anyday!!
Don't know why the rear seats don't recline
Timestamp 13:37 fuel consumption
When did 20 inch rims is considered a smaller wheel?
Compared to 22"!
the prices are getting over the top....over priced in my opinion as is everything nowadays .....nice review though...cheers from Vulcan Canada
Great review Zak and Andrea! The price is shocking and feels like something will have to change especially with interest rates having risen. Here’s another shocker… the Audi competition is $15K+ less than the other Germans. Is the Audi really that much less machine? What are we missing here? It’s starting to become clear why Audi is selling better than the other Germans in Canada these days.
I was surprised by the Q7 pricing as well. It is an older vehicle but it still looks great and definitely one to consider.
Very nice design facelift
Range Rover sport??
The problem is, at this point if it’s $75k plus for fake leather, screen overload, and not even sport model with < 400 hp and expensive premium gas, at this point a gas car just doesn’t make sense anymore When these cars were 10-15k less in previous generations it was a different story If you can get a great lease on this then sure But at this point I’d just get an EV
X5 is the best Luxury SUV only caynne is close to that amazing car.
Most 3rd rows are useless unless you have small children or drive a full size SUV like a Suburban. I’m glad they did away with the 3rd row. I rather have more cargo room..
Would love to see a head to head of this 40i vs the MDX Type S. Except for the slightly better engine, I don't see what the BMW offers over the Acura.
It offers everything
@@petewick8627such as…
@@petewick8627absolutely, but that guy is who the type s is aimed at!
😂😂 LOL, there is no match. Type S comparable to the Mazda CX90.
oh boy, almost $100K...by the time u walk out the dealership...nice vehicle, but what about the history of reliability ???
Actually, it has a decent reliability history per Consumer Reports & JD Power. 💡
Top 3 according to CR. Mercedes at the bottom of the list.
5:07 the red rear indicator lights are a fail and need to be illegal.
Those are not indicator light but sensors that the camera picks up but the human eye cannot. You don't see these at all when driving.
It looks like a big X1. Not a bad thing at all. When does the X3 get the X1 look?
@@Brian_Eugene_Lee oh no. Don’t even go there. My friend has the previous 440i xdrive M sport. He kept it to avoid the big you know what.
Saw a 2024 X3, no big changes!
@@jeffsena9140 I guess it's next summer for the 2025 MY.
Leather at this price should be standard.
I'm getting tired of giant wheels - give me some 18 or 19" rims (okay, *maybe* 20") with a 55 or 60 series tires. Far more practical for the horrible roads in the SF Bay Area.
I still think they should have left some redundant physical controls as well as the hand stick gear selector. Those are two items they should go back to the drawing boards. Besides, its not Gen Z who were born with a phone in their hands that are buying BMWs. Most of the buyers are middle aged and grew up with knobs and buttons. Please bring them back!
Interior looks pretty much as an office desk with a monitor on it, as well as on many other cars, particularly Tesla. Imposed false style, aimed at saving money in sacrifice of the classic esthetics.
ja it doesnt take much customer-research to figure out the "third row people" dont go for luxury brands...
I would take 21' inch run flat tires because of safety reasons even if they are more noisy. BMW is a sport SUV and nobody goes under 40 miles on this spaceship so if you can upgrate safeness you should definitly do this. As fo me I prefer Porsche products over BMW but consider new Mazda CX-90 as economy alternative.
It’s a shame that you can’t fold down the rear seats electronically from the trunk like the x7. That’s a fail for this price point
