Not seeing anywhere in the video any kind of explanation on how the title makes sense
click bait
He is literally saying it’s underwhelming and not a huge change
@@SupremeKid98 A child could figure that out. Doesn't warrant all caps, which suggest an actual problem
Great video! The sensafin in my 23 is legit. I love it!!
Great video. Can you do one on the 2024 X6 and 540i. Trying to determine what a fair deal with be in those with the msport package.
Great information bro n accurate also i jus leased a 2024 x5 n da payment is on point thooo i didnt qualify for any incentives thoo im mad about tht but overall i love da car alot of features tht i like
Agreed on the shifter. I'm also disappointed there is no remote rear seat release switches by the tailgate at this price point. I still ordered one, though 😅
I am pretty sure you don't know what your taiking about in terms of the third row option for the 2024 x5 as its still available in some markets. plus changes to the x5 always comes with a price you know. the manufactures can't just update a model like a facelift and then keep the same price, and given how substantial the updates is for the 2024 bmw x5 LCI compared to the prefaacelift I think the jump in price is reasonable. also with the gear shifter nowadays people shift gears with paddle shifters and if your car was a manual gear box it would use a gear lever, but since all x5 comes with 8 speed autos theirs no point it keeping the big gear leaver that takes up space.
My money factory last year for my x3M was .00220 , so that .0018 is good rn, and that lease payment you came up with isn’t bad. Nowadays car notes are higher! You’re going to pay over a 1K for a car note if you’re not putting money down. You are going to pay over 600 a month for like a mainstream decent car today. I build my x3M from the factory, didn’t put no money down and got a 1k from bmw, and my payments are a little slightly over $1000 a month
Same here. Classic one has more stylish front than Sports. They should keep Joystick gear shift.
completely agree with you on the shifter- not a fan of these new gear shifters and the lease on my X3 M40i is up in a year and i hope they go back to previous gear shifter. also not crazy about climate control being imbedded into the infotainment system - Nice Video
Do any of the X5's have ventilated seats?????? I tried building both XDrive40i and M60i and no where do I see ventilated seats as an option by itself or in any of the packages. Am I blind and only see it in the M Competition? I'm looking to get rid of my 2020 Model Y and must haves are air suspension, ventilated seats.
Ventilated seats will come with the Climate Comfort Package
Sooo weird. When building in USA the X5 XDrive40i there is only Premium & Executive packages neither show/mention Ventilated seats, and there is no Climate pack option and no option under the options. But when I build a X5 Drive50e the climate pack shows up. @@Roger_E I do see the X5M60i comes std with ventilated seats.
So you would recommend the 2023 X5 better?
I traded from a 2013 to the M Sport and I love the display, and the Seats, better hands down. So I don't agree. I have had a 2009, 2013, and now 2024. Interior is amazing, again, not sure I agree with you even with synthetic. But I agree, it should be leather with a 70k tab for it. The gear selector lever, I will give you that one. This is the downer to me. I would have loved to have the shifter like my 2013. I never had the 3rd row so I don't care about that. :) Lastly, I don't really like the engine shut off at every stop. It is light, not greatly noticed but when you take foot off the brake it is noticeable. I don't like and and could love to stop or get rid of it.
$70k is the price of a sienna nowadays bro
The video game dashboard is a non- starter for me. I’d pay extra for a somewhat traditional set-up.
semi autonomous drive is active up to 210 kph in europe or 130 mph but we have german autobahn 🙂
I have the 23, they gave me a loaner car for 24, it’s not the power or the interface it was more than that, the suspension is better and also the acceleration is slightly faster. I would say yes the difference is there but I got my x5 brand new at 58k because of the release of the 24. The new one would cost me 70k and 12k is the reason why. 12k is a huge difference on your monthly payment. The 24 is not a disappointment.
58k out the door or adding tax etc.
Can you do one on the M4/M3 competition and how to negotiate the best lease offer in todays Market.
You pat sticker anyway , money factors on m is higher , this guy doesn’t know much he pretend to be an expert
Lol in Costa Rica for a Xdrive50e we pay $118000
I noticed the X5 m50i lose 35 to 40% value in 2 years is that not the sweet spot got purchasing rather than lease?
Cars aren't investments
Them taking out the buttons and tacking on that screen makes it look cheaper too. But yeah, in addition to everything else, this refresh was a let down.
Great video, thanks. We have a 2016 X3 that we picked up in SC at the factory, financed with a .9% loan, those were the days. It has 155K on it and aside from annoying as hell run flat tires it has been more or less trouble free. I have looked at replacing it but after paying it off in 2021 and I just can't reconcile an upgrade at this point, we were looking at the X5. At this point I am thinking we will run it until the wheels fall off, it is still a great car, and your video provides some good perspective.
you dont need to have run flat. I also have x3 and i switched away to Michellin non flats. Way better and quieter.
I ditched them this year! @@Fear.of.the.Dark.
Coming from a BMW/Rolls Driver since 2023, the X5 is worth the upgrade. There are quite a few inaccuracies in the video so I recommend doing your own research.
Switching to a new X5 intergenerationally is usually a waste of money. The X5 does not retain resale value well, and if you don't keep it at least 5 or 6 years you get soaked a few grand easy.
Just making an example. If Honda pilot leases for $600 month and you make $80k a yr, why not lease X5 for $1k month if you make $120k or higher? Its all perspective. Like going out to fine dining. Why go there if a local mom and pop restaurant sell for much less. Your going shit it out anyways.
What’s special about remote start? Mist vehicles offer that feature since 2018.
It was impossible to get or install on the X5 for a very long time
Its done via mobile app. Even trash brands have been offering this option for no cost.
What’s the app
BMW USA is selling the 2025 model year now. So, I guess we don't have to worry about the 2024 model year anymore.
Would you wait for the 2025 X5 rather than buying a 2024 now?
So, why does it suck, as indicated in your title?
I got one of the last X5 M50d models coming into South Africa for the same price as a xDrive 30d LCI...when I saw the new interior, I loved my car even more! It's a chore just to change the radio on a touch screen when driving so I prefer my climate control to be physical buttons - hopefully this touch screen fad will die off soon and we can have physical controls again!
Batery is 27kw You can go for 7,3kw/h this is Not 7H…. Its 3,5
I own a 2011 BMW 328i xDrive Sports wagon, with the 6 speed manual I bought new, aswell as a 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster GTS and I would take the Cayenne over the X5 in a heartbeat. The Porsche not only looks better, but drives better, and holds its value better. It has integrated screens, and physical buttons. All of it feels premium, when you spend the money
That's an easy call if you have 20K extra to spend.
It seems more folks lease the X5 than purchase. Why? Depreciation?
Do you want to buy a new battery for 40,000 in 6 years?
@@michaelv6870 that new battery problem is bullshit, you got i8/i3 other hybrids for over 20years now, tesla got like 10-15% drop of battery capacity after 10 years.
I would never pay that much a month for a depreciating asset car.
It wasn't insane when you signed on the dotted line. Sobering up?
Every car depreciates
I know! I just wouldn’t pay this much for a car a month in general.
Depends on financially where you are in your life. Don’t ruin yourself for it but if you can’t do it comfortably it doesn’t hurt to live a little.
If you make 200k a year, you have no mortgage , you already investing 30-40% of your income and still have money left , what’s the problem spending money on car if you enjoy it ?! If you know by retirement age you have 3-4 million dollars what’s the problem? You wanna invest all your money to do what with it ?! Yes if paying 1000$ on a car puts you in a position to not invest and puts your future at risk yes you are 100% correct and it’s wise to think like that😊
These German automakers are making some ugly cars and being greedy. The Acura MDX Type S has air suspension, better real leather seats and a better sound system than the X5. These automakers have been relying too much on their names and nobody cares anymore.
The MDX type S uses 3 radiators. Lol The turbo location is right in the way of the transmission. Hopefully, nothing will happen to the transmission. Overall, it's a great car, but it does have a quirky set up under the hood. It's smooth, and Honda did a good job with its build except for the Turbo location. P.S. There is no touch screen on the 2024 MDX. The 2025 MDX Type S will have a touch screen display.
