  • No, the most disturbing thing in Skyrim is the fact that you can shoot someone with the Wabbajack, turn them into a sweet roll, and then eat them. I heartily recommend this horrific yet unbelievably satisfying way of paying a guard back the next time they ask you that oh so annoying yet famous question about your missing sweet roll. Let's just hope they're not still self aware though.

I watch them in battle and they are freaking smart, iona bow bashed a bear before switching to her sword, Lydia went into sneak mode to get a better angle on a draugr, also they will jump off of ledges to kill an enemy, they know what height wont kill them, and i think they learn from the player.

They hate the fact that Talos mantled lorkan as they see him as responsible for their current situation.

It is never revealed why this takes place, perhaps, Bethesda is hinting that Emperor you are killing is real one and that it shall become Lore. Perhaps in Lore, they simply say that someone unknown killed the Emperor during Skyrim, if you destroy the Dark Brotherhood instead.

  • How about the unsettling fact that if you talk to all the guards again and again, you will find out that they all took an arrow in the knee, has a cousin fighting dragons, possibly a dark brotherhood supporter or member, been to long since seeing a bandit raid, thinks that your sweet roll got stolen and last but not least, hates loli banging.

    • The only possibility I can see is that they are all related, arrows to the knee are some sort of initiation ritual for the guard and are in league with the bandits ensuring no raids. Maybe there’s also some sort of serial sweet roll thief, or kids tell the guards someone stole their sweet roll as an ancient version of a prank call. Lastly, if they are all related, perhaps the family religion is Sithis. They just all like Sithis. The last thing is just common sense.

Basically, it's two skeletons found by the shore near winterhold, one has its leg in a beartrap, and the other is sitting leaning over them sadly. It was heartbreaking. It's known that no Greybeards can be found in Sovngarde as their pacifism does not make them heroic in the eyes of the Nords, even though they do this for the good of Tamriel. The statues could be the souls of Greybeards, secretly and eternally watching over their fellow Nords even in the afterlife.

Also, 2 of the most unsettling things I’ve experienced in Skyrim is when you urge a woman in windhelm to suicide by killing her only remaining daughter, and a dead body pined by loads of arrows outside of the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.

They let you live your life to death... except decades before anyone you knew and loved were around, so at best you will only meet them again at the end of your life and then feed off the energy of the potential life you had that they just made impossible. Yes, Falx Carius's fate may disturb some players (because he was a significant character in Bloodmoon) but I found it quite sad. So yeah. Interesting though to put it that way but still, it was more tragic. Though the Dark Brotherhood one and the Sovngarde statues are quite creepy.

As the Nerevarine in Morrowind he was a brother in the Legion, and we were brothers against Hircine and his Hounds during the Bloodmoon Prophecy, and I made sure he made it out alive and back to his post commanding Fort Frostmoth... Seeing him like this was kinda cool as a nod to an old friend, but more so sad to see him enslaved in death.

  • About Trias and his letter, not really far ahead you find a shipwreck due the icebergs and low vision conditions. I've explored the area and didn't found any bodies or life signals, just chests and barrels. It's interesting to theorise that maybe Shelly could have scaped (or maybe not, just lucubrations) since you can't find drown bodies or bones...or perhaps it happened so long time ago, the corpses disolved just like Trias, but again, no bones to be found, so maybe the whole tripulation scaped.

  • It's not quite unsettling but more just fun to think about if you're a fan of connecting these medeival games to real world habits. Also I'd like opinions on if it makes enough sense. I'm talking about the possibility that the families of our favorite imperial and stormcloak from the start of the game have the possibility of being related in the future.. How? Hear me out, Riverwood is a very small town with primarily 3 small families with the added bonus of Faendal, and the innkeeper and those who live there.We already know of Sven, Faendal, and Camilla but what about Hadvar's neice? You know rambunctious little girl who's one of the few likeable children in skyrim who aspires to be a blacksmith like her father?Well even though Hadvar and Ralof while in helgen have a short spat suggesting they know each other well before you go with one of them back to their home.We are aware at that point that Ralof and Hadvar likely grew up together, both of them having their respective uncles living in River wood and ironically despite the two being on different sides of the war their neice and nephew respectively act as best friends.We see them playing, hints that they play pranks on the town and honestly I being a softy found it all adorable.Though that was when the thought came to mind that if Hadvar's neice (I forget her name) and Ralof's nephew stay in Riverwood to adulthood with no other young people their age neirby apart from the graymane and battleborn children, and the one farmer girl the two of them more than likely due to the time period end up actually being married to each other. Purely due to how long they would know each other and it helps that Ralof's nephew never seems to be judgemental of the girl doing more boyish things. In fact she actually teases him saying not to be so girlish once or twice. So does it hold up? and would you ever like to see some of these children grow up in later games? I certainly wouldn't mind it.

  • This is late but my experience in unsettling isn't a game moment but rather a book within the game called chance's folly. If anyone finds the book i highly recommend your read it. If I were to name a moment or scene in the game though it would have to be the dead miner inside a mine near Riften. 2 best friends found the mine and thought gold would be in there so while one went to mining the other went to a town for supplies. When he came back his friend was gone and he assumed he found gold and left, he was mad so he left without even going into the mine. Once the player explores the mine and finds a way into a tunnel behind the waterfall, they'll find a skeleton buried under rocks and gold ore next to the body. The poor friend was trapped under there and his buddy left him.

  • There's also another Dreth - Romyln Dreth - you can find in Riften. He boasts about his ancestor's deeds to the innkeeper (who doesn't believe a word of it) and this ancestor also appears to be Valen. The nastiness in the Dreth family runs far and deep, I think

  • About that killer on the ship - I always though he was an insider from Mattier (or what's his name), since when you meet him in the tavern - he is surprised, that anyone from dark brotherhood is still alive and even MORE surprised, that DB is still interested in the quest. At that point I though, that it's strange, that after all of this complicated setup - he didn't have a backup plan or an extra backup for the case of failure on DB behalf (since they are kinda shitty at this point in history). So yeah, when I saw that little killer - it all made quite some nice sense )

      @antoniobandera2194@antoniobandera21946 жыл бұрын
    • Well either way imperials or stormcloaks there letting the thalmor win by letting each other kill themselves in a war. But personally I agree with the stormcloaks because they deserve freedom and a alliance with hammerfell would prove powerful against the thalmor. And since hammerfell and skyrim got complete freedom who says the the rich nobles in High Rock wouldn't want to make there kingdoms away from the empire too

      @Mr.Goat123@Mr.Goat1236 жыл бұрын
    • Blade The Bear they aren't letting the thalmor win, what the thalmor want is the civil war to not end, In there notes it says that a Strom cloak victory must be avoided at all costs. If the imperials win it won't matter too much as they will still be able to carry out there business in skyrim and probably start another civil war. I think that the cannon ending will be that the dragonborn didn't join a side and eventually the two sides came to a peace agreement to face a different enemy (what ever the next game is about)

      @the_dropbear4392@the_dropbear43926 жыл бұрын

And if u complete the civil war with the imperials Ulfic and Galmor stone fist will be there too. But if u go the stormcloaks civil war route u can meet a died legate Rikke too And with doing the bards college u can meet the ghost u meet in ruin to find the book in the bards college quest

He had an iron dagger in his hand and he said "never should have come here" (basic line) I promptly jumped forward and killed him and took a screenshot because I always saw him in the chair on previous play-throughs. This was just 2 days ago. Odd seeing it here now!

  • If you're in the dark brotherhood quest line to the point where the dark brotherhood is talking about assassinating the emperor, if you go to a town like whiterun, the guards will say something about it like they've figure it out or found out about it or something like that, idk I was playing skyrim td and I'm at that point and the guard in whiterun said something about the conspiracy
