Hello! I don't comment on KZhead videos often, but I do have to share; about a month after your Wicker Devil video, I saw it and was inspired to try a similar challenge for myself. I made a horror game with a random amount of time (3 days) with two randomly generated mechanics (sanity and body temperature) and it was probably the most fun and successful experience in my short game dev career at the time. Thank you for being such an inspiration!
To clarify, I only uploaded the game on itch and sent it to my friends, but a few small youtubers played it so that was fun lol

First thing I thought when you got to the part of "making it a horror game" is kind of like the narrative that you're in this creature's realm, and every level, you get deeper into its domain. So the first level looks very normal with it just being night, but by the time you get to level 5, the lighting is all red, the wall textures are decayed/industrial/eldritch, and in the distance you can see horrible hallucinations.

I always thought parkour and horror would make a good combo sense so many horror games build there mechanics around running and hiding. So why not make movement more involved.

in scary games you have two options that work one is a prowler that can check places you can hide as alien isolation and patrol then there is the chasers as outlast.

Don't be too hard on yourself, level design is incredibly hard, and is usually given to someone as an entire job in game development, in fact, many people depending on the size of the game.
Personally, I think the spider creature is pretty cute, which is why I want you to make a game mode where you can just hang out with the creature, no jump, scares or anything, and you can also pet it. KAWAII MODE.

Here is the thing: Most horror games end with a parkour/monster chase, take the first 2 chapters of Poppy Playtime, even ban ban kinda fits (the white thingy and the green dude chasing you) if you consider it, but your's is original because it is the FIRST fully parkour-based horror game. (technically because dying light still has this 'killing monsters' vibe and yours is just a run-away game). So technically this IS an original game genre.

So basicaly for the desing of the levels, make it so it looks like you're on the top of a city,jump from building to building or under construction buildings and make the finish(the door) as an elevator and inside the elevator, make a panel that will show your time,record,death,continue to next level etc (also make the menu, instead of doors,elevators)

Why would Mirror's Edge not fall in the category of action adventure? I'm inspired to write a dating sim spooky game. One where you play a character that has blackouts, imagined interactions, gaps in their memory from childhood. Interactions include some people claiming to be friends from your past, a therapist, a detective suspecting you of a disappearances.
I'm no game developer by any means, and so I'm not sure how feasible this suggestion actually is, but your discussion about how to fix the camera got me thinking about a small section in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. During the boss battle in Thyrranosis, there is a small running section in which you must control Ratchet, fleeing from the approaching Mother Thyrranoid, whilst looking through the eyes of the Mother Thyrranoid. I'm sure a fast-paced parkour game such as Midnight Momentum (which, by the way, looks phenomenal) would be impossible with this camera set-up, but I wonder if, with enough time, a second-person parkour horror game in which your camera is set in the eyes of the creature following you could be done?
