Peter Jones is my favorite dragon. He didn't expect 50%. That's just the bargain pull. But if he asked 40% he would've been dragged down to 30%. So he played it like the entrepreneur is actually winning there. And to be fair for that particular business Peter Jones is the right dragon. And 60% of successful business is way better than 75% of not so good business under Mrs. I'mOut.

I actually had a feeling upon seeing her at 5:59 that she'd make an offer. He described a good business with massive potential, run by someone who admittedly didn't know much about business. Seems like a low-risk, lucrative investment for a dragon, which is the only kind of deal that Jenny likes.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Jenny: "I'm not speaking to you for the rest of the day" "Win-win!"

Jenny: "you beat me to the deal, and for that reason, im not speaking to you for the rest of the day"
I wouldn't want him speaking to me for the rest of the series. The guy is an arrogant prick.
Reckon Peter woulda taken 35% for that...
I’m out
Very clever tactic from Peter, I don't think he wanted 50%. There is a reason why he has out-lasted all of the other Dragon's.
A classic power play, Tej just crumpled.
Yep, power play. It's also a great example of price "anchoring" - 40% for Peter Jones and his expertise seems like a bargain, compared with the original 50% and it is a good result I think for the entrepreneur, but it's still comfortably more than the other offers and double what the guy was originally looking to share. By psychologically anchoring 50% as a reasonable offer - and importantly he provided a lot of justification for that - anything less, even a massive 40% chunk of your business, seems like a good deal. The thing is though, it is a good deal, and the other important aspect of Jones's tactic here was illustrating that 50% of a massive amount is much better value than 25 or 35% of a much lower total.
He wanted nothing but for the entrepreneur to haggle with him. 50% was literally off the top of his head to see how far he can push it. He already knew the guy has no idea of how to value his own company and was more than desperate for the dragons... Peter had him by the hook this entire time. No exceptions
the company is now worth 150 million
They can't do anything against his reputation he's miles ahead in terms of popularity. The old dragons were a match but this lot are useless. They need to bring in real businessmen and see how he comes up against them.
They should have a warning before Jenny makes an offer, I nearly choked on my food when she did that
Well I jumped out of the window thinking i could fly
I hope you were eating lunch when it happened. The lack of comments about lunch and how the video is the perfect length for a lunch break is unsettling

Each of the dragons is really an expert in a different business. Like luxury goods and clothing is more Touker, Tej has retail and health, Peter is mostly tech, Jenny is free from other responsibilities so can put in more time and has a very large wallet, Deborah I think has a bit more of a varied interests when it comes to investments so I think what she really brings is a lot of connections but also a lot of experience, she knows her shit and she's been around the block a few times enough to smell other peoples.

@@seanjosephhayes its not insecurity. Its a last ditch tactic. He shows alot of interest towards peter jones as he is clearly the one most likely too catapult the business further and quicker then the other dragons. She is saying this to help Mark keep herself in the negotiations, it was clearly a bouncing business with no ceiling and she sees the potential! however she knows she cant compete with Peter as hes the Tech Giant of the den. She also gave pitched the lowest equity stake in the business, almost half of what peter offered which gives her great grounds to say what she said. It's a case of shes a great business woman and a dragon giving the best equity stake yet he looks too peter for obvious reasons. It's smart play, however she stood no chance as i think even if Mark was a stern businessman he could have got peter lower and peter would still snap it up. Let's be honest, he went there to get an offer from Peter. It's his field, and Peter immediately understood that and knew he could push for 40-50%.
Peter always seems to spot it early
Jenny once said: “I’m a dragon indeed, but a fair one, not a greedy dragon” After seeing her offers, though few, yet they’re the fairest and most sensible ones.
She’s boring to watch as a tv investor and we joke about, but I think we miss that she really calculates her risk
@@osochara she is a bank, not an crisis investor, so it does make sense.
I agree - I detest Peter
It’s because she has the least to offer. That’s why even when does offer a better deal, no one picks her. 40% of 10 Million is better than 70% of 1 Million.
Which episode did she said that? Give me a link.
60% of something is better than 100% of nothing. He's a tech genius he'll make that guy a millionaire, get him contracts to all the major city's in the world, best choice he made.
Going global/worldwide is a bit of a challenge as the UK's CAA PFCO qualification which licensed Drone pilots have, is not recognised in many other countries. Each country has its own Drone licensing rules and regulations. Also in most cases you need to notify local Air Traffic Control and Police ... which probably means an ability to speak the local language
@@victorukdronepilot8554 but he has the money and contacts to do such things, id be intrested to see what he does and what path they take
I doubt peter has technical skills personally. He is businessman not a technical wizard. He isn't a bill gates, but he has technical expertise in his team, which he ha got through investing in Telecom.
What he said about the business suggests they'd get local pilots who would have the right qualifications and linguistic skills for that country.
Victor UK Drone Pilot the method works anywhere. You wouldn’t hire UK pilots for jobs in other countries. You’d hire local pilots
Peter: 45% and you'll be a wealthy man Taj: 35% and I can provide basic tech support services such as website building and a social media account.
Tej was almost crying : 35% and I can provide you decent coffee
@Daniel Lavis He's the richest, but he has been wrong many times. The Magic Whiteboard is just one of many, many examples. And Deborah doesn't always pick her investments solely to maximize profits. She also likes to support some ideas that are a 'worthy cause' with a decent chance of success.
@Daniel Lavis If you need to believe that to protect your fragile ego.
@Dexy Chan None of you dipshits seems to see the pattern by which St. Peter can say the most inane shit ('PICK ME FOR A HIGHER PERCENTAGE YOU'LL BE RIIIIICH') and people fall over themselves to call him savvy, while the ethnic minority and women investors get dumped on for criticising or making a more substantial argument. More than half of Peter's and everyone's deals collapse after the den. A good two thirds go out of business even if they got the investment. It's really, really obvious that he's talking out of his arse with a scant few exceptions.
@@intrepidtomato It's called charm and influence which is very important in business. But carry on with your anti white man narrative.
This is my favorite episode I’ve seen. Not because I’m a drone enthusiast, but the way Peter sold himself - he straight up told the other dragons they had no chance and he was absolutely right.
