I would love to have seen a cost breakdown of what it took to get where he did, including any sponsorship or freebies, just as a rough guide.

  • Man, Jeremiah living a lifelong dream I have had since the days of Gran Turismo 1. I will say, those feeling and emotions he had in the car, right before his race, are absolutely real. I remember when I did my first race day on my motorcycle. The amount of pressure, anxiety, fear..everything just comes at you all at once. It's honestly sooo nerve racking, I have seen people forfeit and not get on the grid because of the pressure. I am genuinely proud that Jeremiah pushed through and still competed. When I did my first race day, I got last place in all of my heats. But ya know what, I walked away with my motorcycle looking shiny and in 1 piece, and with a huge grin on my face, knowing that the experience further solidified my passion.

  • Racing experiences are brutal if you don't piss money for a living. Asking to crew for a TC Racing crew was pretty illuminating for me as far as the costs and the logistics. The amount paid to have multiple days of your week including time taken away from work is rather low especially if they crash or break the car and you have to try to piece it back together. Even working the race doesn't make sense. The wheels and tires are expensive and if it's an endurance race you can go through 20k in tires. For the customer, they're paying for service, prep, transportation by the team, trackside support and changeouts, and typically their pro co-driver and they typically like to go first because if the pro has a mechanical failure or crash then they just wasted at least half of their spent money. At that point I realized that I would never be a racing driver so it was really cool to see Jer get the experience. It really gives you an appreciation for all the hard workers and volunteers of more grassroots level orgs.

  • This is a funny channel full of joy and lighthearted humour, but I love it that the editing team leaves these moments where Jeremiah or James get emotional and start crying. They keep the editing to a minimum in scenes like those and they allow us the audience (the fans) to see these real humans doing something they love. Kudos to you guys, whoever team edited this video.

  • Its been said but it simply can not be overstated how beautiful it was to see the reality set in that Jeremiah was about to live out a childhood dream. We should all aspire to have that moment at least once in our lives.

  • 15:00 man that shit hit hard... I felt that in my soul. Years ago I built my own car. A 96 civic si (we had those in canada) with an acura EL front clip. I bought as a bare shell from a junkyard. Over 2 years I spent $13k on mostly used parts except the drivetrain I built myself while in college for automotive. Literally built in my dad's backyard with hand tools. Not even an engine hoist. I jacked up the front, drug the drivetrain underneath, and lifted it into place standing on the shock towers with a strap over my shoulders. The only help I had the whole time was dad sticking the motor mounts in while I held the 350lb drivetrain on my shoulders. Fully built b18a1, high compression, gsr trans with ls 5th, lsd, stage 3 clutch etc My first time down the strip, I was having that same rush Jerry did, tears, everything. Dreamed of drag racing since I was a kid. 13.6 quarter my first pass with a perfect .500 light. Cried my eyes out like a little kid. Ended up selling the car for next to nothing right before my oldest son was born 8.5 yrs ago. I'll never forget that car or that moment as long as I live. I'll build another with my two boys someday. Good job Jeremiah, so proud of you man.

  • Its not just the fact that it was his life dream But the stress and all the work and COMPROMISES it took to get there... That is not his car, that is not his team, a lot of money that isnt his, so dissapointing them or braking something... To be able to work with that fear... Respect

  • Damn, dude. I got emotional too watching him get like that in the car before the race started. That was really cool to see because it felt super real/raw. We're all proud of you, dude! I hope that was an amazing experience for you. And who knows, maybe something will come out of it in the future.

  • Good for you Jeremiah, nice to live out your dreams. I gotta say though, I was very surprised you never drove a racetrack in the rain. Watching you donut guys, I'd expect you tried all of those "simple accessible things", though apparently not. Book a trip to Germany, go drive on the autobahn and experience 150+mph speeds, visit the Nurburgring, and visit other racetracks. You'll love it. Then go and drive a professional race again. You guys are awesome.
