James Corden kicks off the show wishing everyone a happy Cinco de Mayo before checking in on the ever-elevated Senior Vice President of Late Night Programming, West Coast, Nick Bernstein. And Nick has some critical updates regarding taking the show on a cruise ship and the building's elevator system. And James gets into the headlines, notably Facebook deciding to uphold its ban of Donald Trump, relegating him to his blog.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."
Cant wait to see how high Nick's chair is tonight 💀
I feel like Lauren right now...but I'm pissed off because you're having more fun in America than I am, and I was born here. I need to re-evaluate my life! 😂 You're killing it, man. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! 🎉🎊
Neither can we.💀
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THIS FORMAT. I love how the whole crew can just rattle off whatever’s on their mind. The comedy gold that just comes off so naturally from the whole crew is simply amazing. I wouldn’t doubt if this starts a new trend among talk shows where there’s no need for an audience. “Fins Up” 🦈🦈🦈🦈
Totally .
🤚🐋🦈🐋🦈🐋 FINS UP!
I was going to post roughly the same thing. No audience, hell, let them even still wear masks long after COVID. Don't change this at all!
I use ‘fin’s up’ with my son all the time!
Just enjoy it while it lasts, no TV executive will ever approve to keep this format.
YOU GUYS, HE MENTIONED US!!! "The KZhead Comments" Thats US, GUYS!!!
😄💕🦋
You guys are AWESOME! Love you and the whole show vibe!!!
I am a nurse, and the first thing I do when I get home to unlax is watch your latest you tube! Thank you for your so many relaxing endorfina filled moments! You know laughing releases good endorphins!
@@tinastevens9089 💕
They listen!!
Yes, PLEASE keep this format-- NO audience! This is now my favorite late night show! Genuine joy from the staff and crew. Not the painfully forced blast of convulsive guffaws from the writing staff about their own jokes.. Thank you, James and staff!
I agree Its so personal and fun
Yes Ma’am indeed, I have enjoyed the show way more and feels like we’re in the audience.✅
Yes!!! There are enough people in the studio to hear the laughter and clapping so it's like they have an audience but waaaaaay better...Nick is soooo hilarious! Trying so hard to do his job and his face just keeps turning redder and redder
Audiences are so fake. They get warmed up by a comedian, they are told to laugh, it's lame. This is real.
I love how this is becoming a show about making of a show. Like a Truman Show vs The Newsroom
Great observation!
Until James becomes Howard Beale.
I've thought for a long time that they come in to rehearse and riff and the producers just record it and release it as the show. Its so great!
It kinda is "a show about the making of a show," like Seinfeld was "a show about nothing." Both carried on the strength and wit of the characters involved. Hmm. 🤔
It's chaos !
This is becoming a high end public access show in the best possible way...change nothing
Don't you think that the reason that we all love this format is because this is exactly how most of us would talk with our friends?!
I agree it really is something special to witness.
👍just chillin 😁
Yes. Funny and relaxing.
I mean, times are changing. There no reason a late night talk show HAS to have a live audience and HAS to have a monologue. This is fantastic. I only started watching Corden during the pandemic and this and Colbert are the two that seem to be the funniest. (Colberts writers are ace)
@@EmpyreanLightASMR It was a little rough in the beginning for late night shows when the pandemic started, but I think Colbert, Kimmel and Corden have done a phenomenal job with the new forums they developed for themselves. Trevor Noah was doing well for himself as well, but he seemed to drop off and drift into the background for a bit. Anyway, stay safe and well out there ✌
Lauren should announce the news like that more often 😂 “just get to the news” and go straight into the news theme tune
Ngl, Lauren is my new favourite crew member. Savage.
Tbh, I agree with her....😂😂😂. I know that’s probably a little evil but 🤷🏻♀️
It was hysterical
We need t shirts with "I'm so f ing over it" - Lauren
These episodes just keep getting better and better
James...this show ain't broke, don't fix it.......It is brilliant :-)
I love how they put Nick in very high chair and now starting to demand things to happen on the show like the man is a hostage. 😂
ATTENTION LATE LATE SHOW KZhead MODERATOR. I truly think the best thing to come out of the pandemic is this format of late night, and clearly so do many other people.. Sure, it's fun to have an audience, and it's fun to be in the audience. But when there is a studio audience, they have way more fun than people watching at home. Without a small group of randos in the studio, MILLIONS of people that watch this show feel special, feel included, and we all have a better time. It truly makes for a better show, and I will comment this until I know for sure it will stay this way.
Wait, when there isn't a studio audience you mean?
@@naciremasti yes
We have now seen the Holy Grail of Late Night. You just stop reading to an audience, and do this. Brilliant!
Please add a spot "Lauren's Over It" so we can hear stuff she is just sick of hearing HAHA
That part was the best
Amazing!
I miss you all on the weekends.
We miss you too!
It is weird that I come here for what's going on with James and the crew. Than what's actually happening in the news.
How about an extended version of the intro? I would love it if this video was like a 30 minute bit if not longer!
Same.
Yes!
As it is, not too much, not too little. You extend it and you might kill it with boredom.
Seriously - protect this format at all costs
This is officially my favorite show on KZhead right now. "Every F*ing guy has lost weight on this show and I am F*ing over it"
Nick has a great sense of humor, yet he's humble. His energy is great. Too bad he can't stay permanently.
I’m betting Nick can stay as long as he wants 😂
@@AnonyMouseXIII Friday high chair chats with Nick.
Stay!
@@AnonyMouseXIII Oh, no doubt he could. I just reckoned he'd have to get back to vice presidentin' next week.
The casualness of the show is so awesome please never change it it’s a one-of-a-kind experience you don’t get anywhere else.
Honestly thought they would’ve made the chair changes more subtle but this is wayyy more satisfying and funny 😆
They're gonna bring a sissor lift to get him higher than this xD
🤣
As I live in the UK, and dont have sky TV, i absolutely love watching this show on yt, just wished for more. It's become my daily ritual, Tea, toast and The late late show.
Same! Only, its caffè and toast, here in Italy 😊
Tea and more tea, though I am in Australia, though Britain is my 🏡.
Its like us in the USA. We don't get the full Chatty Man or Graham Norton.
I LOVE HOW INVOLVED EVERYONE IS ON THE SHOW! Do not change this setup!
I don’t want an Audience back! I’ll miss the crew- How will I know what new shirt Pete is wearing 🥺🥺
I honestly hope you never get an audience again! You guys are the funniest thing on television!
Everytime they mention the KZhead comments I get so excited and feel like I'm part of the show because I never miss a day on here.
I haven't cried this hard laughing on a late night show before. You guys are awesome
James if you read this, wear a yellow tie by Friday! We (the YT viewers) demand you recognize us as true fans of the No audience show!!
Susan with the crossed arms =))) Nice.
Rob is loosening up. He’s gone from “no, we can’t do that joke” to “sure, we can make a vaccine”.
Lauren, I feel you sister.
Today I got the like as soon as Lauren let out her sigh 😂🤣😂 literally crying , soooooo funny
Lauren is my spirit animal 😅🔥♥️
Oh. My. God. How did you just create a new chapter in talkshow? Please continue with this format. I can't stop laughing. Love you sooooo much. And Ian, you are just incredible. Purim. How do you come up with these?
This is the best thing I watch all day, every day 😂😂😂 I laugh so much I have to keep reminding the video 😂😂 absolute gold!!!
OMG! This show has transcended during the pandemic! Love the no audience. The crew is amazing and they bounce back and forth with James so well! This is just laughs on laughs! Good Job Late Late Show!!!
I was actually waiting on the Elevator update 😂
I feel ya, Lauren.
They need to listen to us fans, do not bring back an audience, it's perfect thus way?!
I think it doesn't matter if there is or isn't an audience. I think what we are liking is the back and forth between the show's host, its band members, and stage crew, the inclusive format that evolved inadvertently as the audience was under quarantine. But if they decide to include an audience again, that doesn't mean they will choose to discard the current format. One does not exclude the other. In fact, I hope they do open it up to an audience presence again. If I'm ever in L.A. I'd get a kick out of attending a show!
This is one of the best bantering group! The energy everyone bounce off each other is amazing. Please keep this format...or at least a few days a week we can have these casual hangouts.
Our family started watching during pandemic and it's now our daily routine! Love love love the authentic format! Everyone is so funny!
Poor Nick. 😂😂 Hes gonna be in a swing, suspended from the ceiling tomorrow 🤣🤣🤣
Seems an interesting strategy to endanger the executive producer when they're looking to get renewed, LOL.
He isnt an executive producer he is a senior vice president of late night TV at cbs..... so its even more dangerous
hes being held hostage haha
Very much enjoying Nick , you guys are just great together , all of you make me laugh and smile every night , thank you so much 💜💜💜
lauren is like me on insta - someone lost weight...someone married...someone perggo... like GIVE ME A BREAK 🤣🤣🤣
I was saying the same thing yesterday 😂😂
You make the sale, you go set sail. Heck ya. Fins up!
Then only invite the yt fans as guests on the cruise!
Nick has the energy of a happy bunny. But I love Rob's grumpy realism just as much.
I was having a horrid morning until I watched your monologue, but watching all you laughing and joking truly lifted my spirits. Thank You!
I got to see Dave laughing 😍😍 my day has been made 🖤
Lauren is a MOOD!! Glad Dave brought it to our attention 😝
James be reading these every night for “market research” 👀😅🤙🏽
This format is perfect...live the casual interactions and inside jokes!! Nick's hair and smile made my day 😄
This format is terrific. Also Steve, I’d love if each day the news jingle adds 2 to 3 quick notes to the song. Also the underlying little beat that he does over the first joke could run for each joke would be great
I love the James cordon show it’s funny and fun to watch
I like it too. I prefer without the audience so James can engage more with the crew.

@@Jack0fAllTrades è as 1q2 I'll
Keep this format!!! Way more fun without the audience. Loving this back and forth with the crew. Get creative and keep it like this. Very unique and we all love it!!
You gotta give that guy Bernstein credit. If he really does do the job they say he does, then here is Mr High flyer exec being ritually humiliated, in front of a nationwide audience, by the lowly show team, and being an incredibly good sport about it
He really is Senior VP of Late Night on CBS. Quick Google search confirms it.
He's offended that Purim hasn't caught on... OMG, so funny. :)
Lauren is my spirit animal 🤣 🔥🦦
Learnt more about CBS from this show...its cool to just allow them continue to do what they are doing
Being confident is what keeps you going, never lose faith
I comment on every single monologue. I LOVE this crew so muuuuch. Lauren and Dave and Ian and Rob and now NICK. I feel like I’m part of the gang after a few months of watching these. KEEP THIS FORMAT!!!
Am I the only one personally waiting for the news jingle daily switch!?! 👀
No.
Absolutely!
Kay I'm gonna need "Velvet glove, iron fist" on a tshirt too. And "Fins up". Petitioning to start your merch line
This is now my favourite late night show to watch, as I love it with out the audience. Please keep it like this.
Lauren is me 😂🤣, glad someone said it .
I've NEVER been on a cruise in my life and after Covid I had thought I would NEVER go on a cruise. EVER. Until now...if this happens I would actually dare to go on a cruise. *Also never change this format.
Always so much fun. The show makes me feel like I'm just hanging out with my friends have a great time. Thank you James, and cast/crew. 🤗
I love how just to irk Nick, they keep throwing out sponsorship ideas xD This whole experience is magical, and I'm glad to be a part of it!
Love the format, the show is so great.💕 love Nick! Great addition to the show.
I Love the fact that several people don't realise that this is a genuine show on tv and that the KZhead channel just posts the highlights or stuff that can get through the copy right lol.
Yes, Lauren, my friend! Way to call it!
This show is clicking on every level please don’t stop doing this. It’s absolutely hysterical when you have your audience back we understand things will change but just remember these shows right now are just awesome
These shows with nick have been so damn funny! I love the chill vibes
Love ❤️ ❤ ❤ Nick's hair and updates ... from the Higher Chair
i watch this show every weekday morning it’s my absolute favorite
For sure I’ll watch this at least 3 times ... so funny
That's my usual view count per segment.
Sooooooo funny! I can't wait to take a cruise with you guys. Let's get with it, Nick.
Wish the episodes on here were an hour long.
Dude, Purim is the best holiday. It is criminally underrated
I love his crew so much. And Nick is too precious for this world
Nick is literally the love child of Charlie Puth and Howard Stern
Dave's laugh fills me with so much joy. Fins up, baby :)
yesssss elevator update!!! thats all i care about, you know the safety of the cast and crew.
Just agreeing here you dont need to go back to a live audience! This format really works and its something new!! Love you all!
Best late night monologue these days
As someone whose been following you tubers for YEARS it’s interesting now seeing a wider audience understanding WHY some you tubers are so addicting to watch! It’s like chatting with friends and helping create something fun with a community of people!
Best Format late night.. keep it up... love genuine laughter.
Amazing!!!
I love how this show just shows the behind the scenes.
I feel you Lauren.. Salute guys….oh yeah… my day was made… Susan.. 😁
I hope the audience never comes back. I love the show so much more this way! It's hilarious.
To James and the crew, all the way from Ghana.... You guys are hilarious (interestingly by failing to be intentional hilarious). Gold!
OMG YES 🙌- This show is so funny JAMES is hilarious 😆
That one cast- or audience-member's individual laughter that rises above everything else is unavoidably contagious
PLEASE keep this format forever!!! My face hurts from laughing!! 😆♥️😆 Big Love from Nebraska!!
By far the best late night show around! Corden you are genius and your crew is amazing. Keep the format! Audience is NOT missed!
I had given up watching the show before stumbling across these clips on KZhead and now I think it's the greatest thing. It's just so engaging and fun watching everybody hang out and talk about each other and the jobs and building issues and whatever. I haven't worked in an office building in a year and this brings back the best of that in a way. I also hope it never goes back to the old format and I get a little bummed out when they segue to the monologue/news because I just the chill vibe to keep going. It calls back to when Craig Ferguson had the spot and the loose nature of that.
I missed the whole Nick story arch so I came back to watch all of it. There are weekly storylines now. They're no longer individual episodes.
