Can i just point out that the Reply Code Alpha from Ulduar to quest stack is a trap? When ONE person delivers the quest the questgiver goes on a RP walk for like 5+ min where you can't turn in the quest and stuck waiting. Most likely not worth unless you can gurantee you can be first.

also you don't wanna sit on 200 fragments once you reach 450 archeology (just save the green boe fragments for launch). If you are after the dwarf staff/troll sword you want to keep solving artifacts during the prepatch because while you can't get the epics you can still get some of the rares and therefore they will be out of the rare artifact pools once cata launches and therefor giving you better odds on the epic boas, just make sure to cap fragments before launch
You can already get Staff & Sword with 450 Skill - so you can get the Weapons before Cata Launch.

It warms my heart to see as cata draws closer a lot more people are expressing their excitement for it! Cata was my favorite expansion as well as where i shined on every one of my toons, i plqn on repeating my solo heal of madness on my Rsham, as well as the godly heals from my Hpally! Sad part is i wont have my old guildmates and family members to enjoy this time once again with.

I mean when you've got cata-hypers like Metagoblin at this point basically giving up and saying "blizzard is just pumping out the xpac to farm boosts before the game dies" that should tell you a lot about the state of cata's launch is incoming. That guy has been talking about how cata is pretty good since TBC was still live, now he's seen how blizzard are handling things right now and he's straight caught depression.
I am levelling to 80 on wrath at the moment, sod brought me back but this now my first time in regular classic and can’t wait for cata. Honestly don’t have a much of a clue where to start at 80 but enjoying the journey!
You'll have some quests to point you in the right direction, so I wouldn't sweat it. Likely will start in Hyjal or Vashjir.
@@angrys13 thanks, I’ll figure it out, the main thing will be where to put my time before pre-patch launches and what to focus on, this video gives me a few ideas, professions and other basics first I think. Not the end of the world to start a new xpac fresh I’m not super hardcore but would like to keep up with the content. 👍
@@angrys13 In SW and Org there will be a Quest Board right outside the Auction Houses that will light up with a Yellow (!) icon when you hit the minimum level to start questing in a zone. When you hit 80, you will be offered Hyjal and Vashjir starting quests. You basically just have to do a quick intro quest like riding a boat to the underwater zone or taking a Druid teleport to Hyjal.

Do you plan on doing a more in depth archeology guide? I see tid bits everywhere but its not something i ever got into the first time around. This time i plan on hitting it hard and a leveling/solving guide would be helpful
I hope everyone enjoys their time in cataclysm. Make sure you take a few moments out of your playtime to alt+z hide that ui, put some headphones in and just wander the uldum desert vibes, do some fishing maybe. Some really chill vibes and memories for me in those zones.

Don't be like me and think you need the four Primal Mights to change from another Master of Flask/Potions into Transmutation. Just go to your previous specialization trainer, unlearn your previous one for some gold, then go to the Transmutation Master in the Netherstorm and tell them you want to learn a new specialization. Trains you immediately for free.

Do your cooking dailies ! Youneed around 95 tokens to buy all the recipes. And any excess tokens can be turned into a crate of meat iirc.
Its a different currency, it should be chefs award in cataclysm and we are using epicurean atm (even though it should be dalaran cooking awards as epicurean wasnt even in WOTLK lol)
@@Scottejaye so on the beta do they get converted to Dalaran cooking tokens? or do you have both Chefs awards and epicurean tokens? also, do you know what rewards the waterlogged recipie gives in the prepatch/cata?
@@axelbjork8003nothing converts in the beta, thats also why the jp conversion is not confirmed yet
well the way its meant to happen is when mop hits the chefs awards convert to epicurean but with us already using the wrong cooking token i would assume they won't even change but who knows when the beta doesn't really paint an accurate picture of what blizzard plans on doing with alot of things. But historically the WOTLK cooking awards didn't change at all until MoP and instead cataclysm introduced the new cooking awards then MoP pre patch converted both WOTLK and Cata awards into 1 single award
@@Scottejaye I'm pretty sure OP was referring to the cooking dailies in capital cities that will be available in pre-patch, not the Dalaran daily. The new ones will allow us to stack up a few Chef tokens for Cata recipes before an actual Cata launch.
im going to do the same and level up alchemy on my main ret paladin, so do i need to level up alchemy before or after the pre patch to have easy access to master of transmutation ?

What happens to the jewelcrafter's tokens you get from dailies in Dalaran once cataclysm drops? Will they still be useful or should I stop collecting them?
I have just come back to the game to play cata. I was raiding in classic, but skipped BC and WotLK due to life. How much gear do you recommend for me to get going into Cata for leveling from 80 to 85?

Started the ZG mount farm too late. Got the tiger in 26 runs, im trying to get the raptor with 5 toons(tanks and a hunter) . 40-50 runs atm, dont see it happening until prepatch comes.
So what’s the take on maybe questing in Northrend until 81 to not deal with the New Zone crowds? I still have a large majority of Storm Peaks and IC left on my new main, they give abour 23k, and from looking at old videos it looks like new zones will be about 30k. Would it be viable to stay in Northrend until 81 to kinda of avoid the early rush, but still be productive?
It would not be viable from an efficiency standpoint. It might be worth your sanity to have no interruptions but it's like taking an alternate route on maps with no traffic but it takes 30 minutes longer

I can't seem to find a source for this, during Cata, can you buy the Heroic tier helmet and Shoulders with just the heroic token, or do you also need to have the normal version of the item first? Seems a bit counter-intuitive to be raiding heroic but then need to spend 10+ weeks grinding out the normal version of the fight

I started doing tiger on my DK a week into Wrath and then for 5 months was doing tiger/raptor on 5 chars every lockout and just got my tiger 6 weeks ago. Feelsbad for my friend who hasn't got a raptor ;(
you can easily solo tiger boss on any cloth wearer by going up tot he mound behind boss then resetting boss and then tagging adds before boss makes it back to them. 100% success rate to phase him into p2

Currently have 3 DKs on Mankrik since I was playing on Westfall, I loveee my free transfers. Although the character I left behind on Westfall was supposed to net me a chromatic sword, but Scale belly is an elusive bitch
I literally have 4 max level alchemists ready. 2 transmute, a pot spec, and an elixir spec. Also have engineering on all 4 of those and one of everything else

ROFL did you say 30k per gdkp or 3k?? Thank you for the video though!! Hyped for Cata! Also looking into the ZG tiger reset strat on KZhead, especially for any classes with pets tiger boss is extremely easy to solo. I solo on my holy paladin and disc priest using this strat as well
30k mate, well i actually only got 22k on Saturday but wasn't a great night for drops tbh Oh and regarding ZG, yea i've never really looked at any cheese strats for them, i just went straight to the raptor boss on my mage and got owned and thought "nope not doing that" lol

Well it will be 4.4 in the pre patch so it wouldn't surprise me as much as i agree it dont make sense
for alc specialization just go pots, bring stupid pots, pay 100g to change to transmute

It takes over 100 hours to level from 1 -80 right now in wrath so to have this many alts is wild. its like 5 days of play time per character
Sorry if I sound slow but on the DK part, as long as you on another realm and level a character to 50 and then transfer it to your main realm, you essentially bypass the multiple DK in one realm caveat?
You cant transfer a DK to a realm with a DK already on it.

I solo ZG Tiger boss as both fire mage and demo warlock easily. Warlock is super easy with a few talents changed to boost felguard tanking. Mage is tough but doable with good gear (I'm running 6.5k gs).

yeah idk what server youre playing on, but on mine ur not getting into a gdkp unless youre parsing a minimum 90 parses

Aye i personally just feel ulduar 10 is easier to do in 1 single run because of things like shocking which can be really annoying and even gonna go when the volcano blows, obviously just my opinion but can absolutely do naxx as well yea
@@Scottejaye just thought I'd mention it for those that already have it. Although the plagued proto drake is the only mount I have that is 310% and on the beta none of my characters, including the one who got the achievement, is getting 310% for free.

Short Question: In Cata they want to make achievements accountwide if i heared correctly. I have a mage that has all the Naxx achievements exept Undying but i dont play that mage anymore. Now i main a Rogue that hasnt gotten any Naxx achievements. If I go in with my Rogue and do Undying and the achievements get combined coming Cata, do I get the Mount?
Achievements will be account wide. Mounts already are account wide, but the titles obtained will only be on the character that completed the achievement. You will still need to fully complete the achievement on one character to get the mount

You can't solve Zin'Rokh and stuff during the pre patch though, just like back in the day.
Yea but back in the day it was patch restricted, we won't be patch restricted so i agree its unlikely but its also plausible. We don't have downtime or anything in classic, the xp bar just appears and off we go so everything when pre patch hits will actually be in the game

Now's the worst time to get into gdkps lmao. to give you some context, if I full on leeched for a month during the first 1-3 months of ICC release, i could have made roughly a million gold a month (mind u I've been actively raiding on 14 chars), now I could barely make a forth of that within the same time span. You should have been joining gdkps if you wanted to make gold that way during the start/halfway mark of p4. Cuts are rarely 10k nowadays, usually around 5k, on p4 launch it used to be 30k+ on a regular, around decemeber/january 20k was still relatively normal but for the last 1-2 months, it dried out. bit too late to jump on that gold farm now I'm afraid

You can! In the PVP room of Org / SW is a supply quartermaster where you can turn 375 Honor into 250 JP. Remains to be seen if this will be in from the start since it wasn't added until the Zandalari patch of 4.1 which wont be until July 2024. It is there in the BETA but the beta also has a ton of issues and bugs and things that shouldn't be available until the Dragonsoul patch.

It should also be mentioned that the conversion goes the other way too. You can turn JP into honor points at the same rate
12:50 any mount with 310 speed becomes 280 in cata, then if you pay the 5k gold any mount becomes 310, at least thats how it was on the beta. Getting a fast mount now does not save you.
ye in beta.. but beta are a mess still xD normaly if you done any 310 fly thet char need to keep thet speed and you dont have to spend 5k.. to get it back
Beta bypasses the check blizzard should be doing in the prepatch since Beta didn't have a prepatch. During prepatch blizzard should be awarding characters who earned a 310 the skill for free while any other character still needs to buy it.
What happens to all the emblem gear lvl200-264?
The emblem gear is still available for justice points in Cata. Its not until much later that they change them to cost gold.
What’s going on with Jewelcrafting? What will 20 arp gems turn into? What will 20 intellect gems turn into? Etc
