THE TWO SIDES OF CHATEAU LIFE!
Whilst I create vignette's based on Chateau Life for Christie's in New York, the Lalanders at home get on with the real nitty-gritty of chateau living, digging holes for the pergola posts, and building a new chicken coop for our adorable chickens...

Dan - "I've got a digger and a slave" 🤣
Made my day 😂😂
😂 😂 Naughty Dan!

I laughed my head off- Dan is hilarious!
Stephanie, your cousin is a fast mover - he doesn't waste any time - such a hard worker.
Perhaps he should sloooow doooown a bit. 😛👌
@@billgreen1861 it's wonderful to watch someone so dedicated.
@@lindabradley1054 absolutely!!!😛👍
@@lindabradley1054 I think he is just wondeful to watch..:)
@@mnizourin agree he is very pleasing on the eye! Lol 🐝
Oh, PLEASE let the cousin keep digging out in the hot sun! Some of the best “landscaping” the chateau has ever seen!
I agree - it's probably too hot for a shirt on many days and may need to take it off inside also on those very Hot Days....
😂
AGREE SASSY❗️🤩😍🤣😂
🙂😉
Omg, I came here to find this comment. I thought I couldn't love LaLande any more than I already do but then Stephanie's cousin arrived 😍😍😍
The last young girl worker talking with Stephanie is so lovely and friendly, just like the first two were. I think Christie’s must hire people for their personality as well as intelligence and knowledge. Stephanie did a fabulous job with the vignettes
Stephanie, you should absulotely let Nati film at Lalande, every time you are travelling! So nice 😁
Agree-everyone is so multifaceted..
I vote to paint the henhouse the same pinky cream as the chateau with the same blue as the shutters on the roof and doors.😊
The chicken coop is very cute and will definately need waterproof protection. Seal the every screw head before painting or oiling otherwise the water 'will' work its way through and it will leak and become damp very quickly. I would also move it more into the sun so it stays as dry as possible so the chickens don't develop respiratory problems.
our chickens and we had lots did try to roost in the trees. they like to roost at night. Of course La land doesnt have a lot of chickens so roosting in there is probably not a problem.
@@jomeyer13 do you think putting the coop on a stand might make the chickens feel safer, up off the ground?
I love how the Lalanders tease each other and how each of their skill sets compliment each other. People's humor and strong work ethic make an amazing team and "family". Side note- That wallpaper is absolutely beautiful.
Highlight: Christy's warehouse is a treasure trove.
What a sweet gentle soul Amery is!
I think every vlog should begin and end with Audrey shirtless. LOL. It is so great to see all the work happening and the improvements at the Chateau.
Amaury 😉
RE Amaury - SO agree! He needs his own channel!!
@@27Spiritgirl no, I don't have time for another ;lol

Who needs television when you have the magical Stephanie! A truly wonderful Vlog, thank you. 🙏🏻🙋♂️
Stephanie, your Dad would be very proud of you. Brilliant job with the vignettes.
Incredible. What a blessed event that here Stephanie is able to share live a moment in time that she shared on more than one occasion with her beloved father at Christie’s. He is proud no doubt.
@@beautymaven3952 Very True.
Irish furniture is some of the most magical furniture..
Jacqueline writing - "you've got Christies on speed dial now" that's our Stephanie - fabulous video - such contrast
Yes, while Stephanie is playing Marie Antoinette and drinking her cocoa, the peasants are busy toiling away at the chateau.
Stephanie has such a beautiful effect on people and at times she doesn't realise it🙂💚
Wish I could double like this comment🌟
Yes, Jill at Christie’s fell under Stephanie and LaLande’s spell as everyone does! Loved the tears of joy at the end of the visit. Won’t it be wonderful if Jill and Chris visit LaLande and perhaps tour some chateaux with Stephanie and Philip to talk about the history of the contents!
Great job at Christie's Stephanie! Great job at home LaLanders!
your talent for whimsey just shines in those Christie's vignettes, huge success.
Oh Stephanie you are just amazing with your never ending talent, this time creating vignettes for Christie’s. One learns something everyday and from you is just wonderful. I feel I am living in a chateau myself but in a small way in my little house here in the Philippines. Thank you very much, as ever you brought some joy and content in my life with your vlogs..
That was charming. I liked the Christie’s people, such lovely cultured people. It was so so good
Well said Ninian , looking forward to seeing the Christies people at Lalande one day!
It is actually wonderful having Stephanies cousin Aumery at La lande! He is such a worker and along with Dan, they certainly are moving along and getting so much done. So is Cat and Kristen. * Think I have names right and spelled properly?* Enjoyed seeing moe of Christie's and all the furniture and hearing the history also. There were so many wonderful ones and would have trouble choosing if I ever had that opportunity! I have two chairs that belonged to my great aunt, on my mom's side of the fami
Yes they are doing a wonderful job. I think it's Kirsty.
Kat and Kirstie I think.
@@carolinegooder7091 Thank you. You probably are right.
@@bfrommars Thank you Carol!
And Amaury I believe.
Oh my god the rooms sets were so beautiful Stephanie, exactly what we all expect from you ! Style and Taste personified with the touch of Lalande at the table, your father would be so proud of you ! As well as everyone in your family !!! Plus a world of admirers x well done and more to come I’m sure xx
☺💟💟💟💟
Agreed! Well said 😊🙌🏾💛
Kristen does a lot of work but is so modest. I like watching her. She is so capable. I hope Stephanie grows some wisteria on the pergola.
Btw it’s Kirsty 🙏🏻😊😂
Kirsty is awesome!! She is so beautiful and so capable!!!
You have done your mother and father proud Stephanie XXX Thankyou and Philip XXX
I love the way they did your hair for the garden party vignette
A major thank you to Christie’s for allowing us a peek inside the inner sanctum!
I can’t believe you carpeted the coop! My chickens would make fast work of it with all their scratching. I have pine shavings in mine. Hilarious.
It's a plastic tablecloth
Stunning rooms, the beautiful items complement, I can’t wait to see the photos; while back at home, Dan and his digger, your digging cousin making shutters, Natie filming, and the star of the video Kirstie making the chicken coop. So so wonderful all the way around!
Great editing Stephanie between Christie's in New York and your Chateau. As the old saying goes, "The boss is away and the mice play." But not at La Lande, you have some great people that keep things going like clock work. I guess that just shows how much they love you and they love La Lande also, just as you do. Great job!!!
Funny how entertaining and happy digging in dirt and beautiful antiques can make you feel! Thanks for sharing!
Magnificent! I have no words. Congratulations, dear lady. You can take your place with the best. Brava!
Well done nati great job showing Lalande, you did a great job filming , Dan and aumery doing great work
Where I live, every spring we have a bicycle race - named after the Tour de France but here its called the "Tour de Cluck" and it is a tour of all of the chicken coops in town. I, myself, aspire to a Taj Mahal of coups located next to my lotus pond.
What an achievement! So happy and proud of our dear Stephanie
Great juxtaposition of NY & Christie’s and life back at the chateau.
Greetings from Alaska. Wow. How unbelievably fun it must have been for you both to do these vignettes. I admit I got a bit emotional when you spoke of buying a few pieces from Christy's with your father. Indeed I feel he would be immensely proud of who his daughter is, what she has done, and how truly amazing and inspirational she has become to so many people around the world. You live your dream and encourage others to do the same. This is something I feel I feel would make him so happy. I laughed at the "you now have Christy's on speed dial." I imagine it's much like Cinderella having the personal cellphone number of the Fairy Godmother. Bravo/Brava to all back at the chateau. I look forward to seeing the construction and installation of the new internal shutters. Sadly here in America they are no longer a feature on most homes. It seems they are resigned to being s non working window feature on older style homes. I now understand Dan's comment a while back about working with shirtless Amaury. Lol. (Side note: Congratulations on the sudden burst of subscribers. Lol) Christy and Kats work on the new chicken coop was fun. We have been hearing about it for so long. Now it's finally here!!! Is it wrong that I now want to see the Lalande chickens photographed (probably with photoshop) as the characters from Bridgerton, Jane Austen book, or in some Recency era costumes? Or that I feel Sif and her daughter need a Taj Mahal inspired brooding box? It would be funny if the paint on the new coops mirrored in miniature the chateaus colors. Your American trip seemed so short. It hardly felt like you were in New York for any time. I don't know why I thought you would be there for like a month or so. I had hoped you finally were able to go south and view the Biltmore Estate. Perhaps it means just another trip across the pond. I can not wait to see your reunion at Versailles. Having the Lalande crew there will literally breathe life into the palace. As if Marie Antoinette and her court were alive again. (Just don't serve any cake.) I especially enjoyed this last Sunday's tour of the Chateau Unseen. (Yes I subscribed to their page.) I am super excited for them. (Maybe just a tad jealous for their purchase.) Hope you have (had) a safe journey. I look forward with eagerness your next installment. As always my love to all and stay safe. SH
Your father always was and I’m sure still is, proud of you.
How very magical! I am so pleased that Stephanie was able to fulfill a dream to collaborate with Christie’s. I’m sure her father is smiling down at her.♥️
From Christie's to chicken coops. What a wonderful vlog!
Actually, they might be joking about the coup, but I think mod podge and a slick varnish or resin over the fabric would actually make the rug part feasible, b/c you can just wash it down with a hose. As long as objects have slick, water proof finish, they could be hosed down weekly. With oil-based varnishes you get superior hold, but I imagine water-based ones have come a long way since I was a kid.
I had put this episode on in the background, but within minutes Amaury started talking about how he was making the millwork, so I had to pause so I could start it over at home when I could watch on a bigger screen! I am taking a woodworking program right now (started in January, focus right now is on furniture) and loving it, and I am so excited to hopefully learn more about architectural millwork and restoration at some point.
What a special treat to go behind the scenes at Christie's. A big thank you to everyone who made this possible. I hope there are more collaborations in the future. The wallpaper was absolutely stunning!
The vignettes are fabulous. The third vignette is my favourite. Beautiful.
Cat and Kirsten are two delightful young ladies, both so talented too!
This was fantastic! Everyone can get a big pat on the back for a great job.
Glorious! Thank you for your wonderful vlog….. Nati doing a superb job, as usual. Your gorgeous vignettes, Stephanie, and Dan and very adorable slave…..😂 . How amazing to have Jill on speed dial for your next antique shopping adventure. You are all fabulous, and give me such joy. 🍾🎶❤️
Should have built the chicken coop where you wanted it to save carrying in all that way, need to put some bricks under the wooden feet so they don't rot in the wet weather.
Oh wow. Seeing all those very unique and amazing pieces was an absolute treat. Thank you! 😍
Such a fun vlog. Loved all the vignettes at Christie's and the switching back and forth to LaLande. So visually beautiful and fabulous in either setting. Can't wait to see more of the behind the scenes at Christie's. Love the chicken coop getting thr LaLande treatment 😍😘
You are such an inspiration Stephanie, may your flame ignite the heart of the world.
Stephanie, I am so very proud of you. Your vignettes were gorgeous. And the Christie's folks couldn't be nicer! So while you were gone, LaLande was still moving at breakneck speed like the fine Chateau that it is, and all the friends there accomplished lots! What an amazing group of gifted, talented people you all are. I wonder what the next adventure will be for "LaLande on the Road!?!" 🙏🏻🌷🏰💗⚜️💜⚜️💗🏰🌷🙏🏻
The chicken coop should be on legs, chickens like to be up higher out of harms way. The vignettes for Christie’s were amazing! I’m sorry you ran out of time!
Is it just me, or does it look a bit small (don't know how many chickens they have, though).
Definitely a stand for the coop would be wonderful. Otherwise the little Foxies, Weasels and Martens could traipse right in! I think a gilded or gold leafed roof would be divine, and cabriole legs for the stand!💗
@@karinbergman1646 what is a martin?

Such beautiful pieces. Loved the chicken house, the chickens will be living in their little chateau lol. Things are coming along well with all the digging. Loved watching x
Stephanie cousin is like a model , certainly brightens up your day😍 ,him and dan together make a great team , well done lads 👍
It’s history on full display. The imaginations of artists throughout the centuries in one room together. They probably never imagined that all people, not just the wealthy would come to appreciate their work.
Beautiful vignettes at Christy's! Enjoyed the LaLande footage. Great chicken coops! Lots of exciting projects. Love to all ❤
Beautiful! And I love how shy Amaury is to the camera - so adorable!
Everyone is such hard working Lalanders ❤️
The Orpheus surrounded by the animals cabinet is stunning! I am loving the walk through the warehouse, ticks all the boxes for this historian.
Amauri certainly is a handsome young man. So attractive to see a long haired man who knows how to rock a man-bun! 💖

There really is no one more suited for this task than Stephanie. 💖
Stephanie, I loved seeing your vignettes at Christie’s they were exquisite! I loved seeing Phillip helping as well. Your bubbly personality is always shining bright as the sun! I love and admire you! Love from South, Louisiana. Au Revoir!
The vignettes are lovely. Beautiful work, as always. Thank you for the video.
StEphanie, what an amazing accomplishment to have done that!!!
The perches of the chicken coop need to be round not square for the feet to grip onto, also likely way to small for them sorry.
Amaury has a nice tone to his voice. I think he must have a nice singing voice. Stephanie and Amaury duet maybe? Maybe Christmas carol duet.
wow Christies Stephanie has made the big time. What an honor for you all
Thank you Stephanie and Chateau Diaries , I found this all very interesting! Never thought I would be interested about objects but listening all these stories behind them I quite felt more than curiosity, I felt compassion , having leave whatever reason their original place , waiting for to be saved ...I checked out Christie's channel and fascinated estates , why not ,
Spectacular vignettes. Love your taste, as always ♥️🍾🥂🥀

Beautiful design of the vignettes for Christie's, Stephanie.Phillip must have been in heaven with the table settings! The juxtaposition of the chicken coop build with the vignettes being created in NYC was hilarious. The blue and white carpet at the bottom of the chicken coop was hilarious! I think a little chandelier SHOULD go in there😂😂😂
