The two recent podcast episodes, one with Les Johnson and this with Randy Anderson, have provided a wealth of information - thank you. After watching this entire episode (yes, it was a long one at three hours) I came away with not only a greater appreciation for Randy's breadth of coyote hunting knowledge but also a better understanding of his sincere humble nature. Very professionally done podcast! O’Neil Ops is very lucky to have such an excellent guest. You guys have chosen some excellent predator hunters! Randy Anderson is a true gem in our realm of predator calling. Loved how you guys agreed on contest calling. I would say this, the world of technology is killing the “Art” of predator calling. Few can actually call a predator without the aid of an e-call or thermal/night vision. If your reading this ask yourself a question, did you really call them in? Did you really beat that predator on a level playing field. Randy definitely is a prime example of a predator caller that can beat them on their field. Blessed to have watched this podcast. New predator callers need to watch this podcast.

Well now a whole new wrinkle has been added to my understanding of predator hunting. You’ve sent me off on many hours of studying Randy Anderson’s methodology. I’m not really a ‘predator hunter’. I’ve shot quite a few hogs. Have no desire to shoot a Bobcat. But I have been arming up and studyIng up for several months specifically to go after coyotes. Most of my armory ( five rifles ) is tuned to this effort and I have now an iRay Bravo thermal scope as well as a brand new Foxpro Xwing caller mostly loaded with coyote oriented pursuit in mind. I have the unhindered access to over thirty thousand acres of South Southwest Texas Hill Country and if I figure all this out …. That access would double at least. I live in the middle of this acreage. BUT, You James, Keith and John have been amongst my main mentors in this journey I’m on. And you have been doing it one way and Randy Anderson, though incorporating much of what you do, or vice versa, does it quite differently. And I believe you said in the podcast that you have Randy as one of your mentors. All this to say …. You might think of doing some videos explaining this progression and whether or not perhaps you may have diverged from Randy’s methodology without cause or …. With good cause. I would love to know and I would truly enjoy any such videos. I try not to be one of those guys. Hoping to get it all handed out free with no struggling through the learning curve myself. I’m out there experimenting and slogging. Have not killed my first coyote though. Hard to admit at my advanced age of 72.
