The immense work that must be behind this tells how dedicated you are to this series. Thank you for this beautiful contribution!
You enjoying the video makes all the effort worth it! :)
I still come back to this video almost a year later wondering how it doesn't have more likes. Still an amazing video essay to say the least man.
Thankyou John! That's such a sweet message I'm really glad you enjoyed the video it means a lot to me :D
Absolutely brilliant essay. I’ve been obsessed with this show. I believe this essay predicted season six truth about Tommy and the human spirit: “No Limitations”
Thankyou so much :D I'm so glad you enjoyed the last season of Peaky Blinders as much as I did!
"there is no rest for me in this wolrd....perhaps in the next", that line hit home and it will every time workoholics feel this.
😂 😂 Me too
The diverse knowledge, and persuasive words in this 13 minutes video is impeccable.
Good video my man, I really enjoyed all the classic movie moments you included. Solid editing too, seems you already know what you’re doing. Glad you posted it on reddit, KZhead is a sea of content and stuff just gets buried
Oh my goodness I'm so taken back by that I'm flattered honestly😮😊 Thankyou soosoo much!! I really appreciate you liking the video it means so much! I really hope you can stick around and see everything I have planned! ❤️
This is so thorough and so personal. You have encapsulated your experience with such beauty, it's a shame there's not more of these video essays on your channel.
Incredible mate 👏. You've managed to take a concept from the subtext or shadows in this series and you made it shine very brightly my friend. This defines Thomas on a deeper level and explains the complexities of his character.
You’re so underrated man, this video is amazing in so many ways, the editing, the voice, the music, and most importantly the way you explain. Its just perfect. Keep up the good work bro, Im supporting
This is literally the best video essay I have seen. Keep up the work and continue to do more on Tommy
Wow! that's such high praise thankyou my friend you're very thoughtful
came from reddit. i loved this! the editing is amazing and artistic (and that FONT is so so CLEAN haha). such an interesting topic too, any kind of psychoanalysis on thomas shelby and i'm in :)
Thankyouu so much!!! Lots more to come :)
Reflected every perspective of Tommy with different reasons and titles! Great work.
Thankyou very much brother! :D
Wow this is a fantastic video-essay, introspective and touching. Congratulations!
this is absolutely great stuff, so much hard work. Absolutely loved it
It was so hooking from the beginning to the end. This video essay took me back on time to high school, a place and a time when we appreciated literature for giving us some insight in life. I really “drowned” at the heroine part as an recovering addict also suffering from PTSD and medicine resistant depression. It was FOOKINGG great
Thankyou that really means alot I'm happy you found it insightful ❤️
Reasons like this is why it’s important to be friendly to everyone, especially if they’re showing aggression, seem lonely and keep to themselves, and even those who seem completely fine and well-built.
How does this not have thousands of views. This is extremely well made.
thankyou so much I'm so happy you liked it ❤️
Deep, insightful, good take on the subject, very complex subject. Great quality too and superb narration...! Very very Cool man, congrats, keep them coming, you are on your path already.

Man your work is actually amazing!!It is evident you put great effort into your work, your work stands out its perfectly structured together. You make amazing work of the audio with the clips, Your tone of voice is astonishing too it adds so much to the video!! Keep it up, hard work will pay off!!
I'm really glad you liked the video bro I appreciate your kind words it keeps me motivated to carry on making more videos for you all ❤️
This was absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

This video essay is a masterpiece. I have watched it maybe 20-30 times over the past year and I rarely rewatch youtube videos. From the cinematography to the material discussed I am highly impressed. Very highbrow content and great scene selection alongside it (particularly enjoyed the opening scene and then the full cycle to the closing scene - well done). You seriously have a knack for this type of thing, I even find myself rewatching it with my eyes closed just to understand the depth of the insight shared and not get distracted by the visuals. One minor feedback suggestion, in my opinion the thumbnail is slightly too 'childlike', for example I wouldn't of clicked on this video from it alone but it had auto played in the gym and I was hooked since. Otherwise I have no idea why this isnt the highest viewed video essay on peaky blinders as the insight and analysis is extremely high level and the cinematography on point. Either way, great job you should be proud of this piece of art. If i could shake your hand I would.
Wow...Thank you so much I am very pleased to know that you enjoyed this video :D You are incredibly kind thank you brother. Reading this gave me so much joy and you helped motivate me! I enjoyed reading your thoughts and your input will help me improve and for that I am grateful. In regards to the thumbnail I believe you are correct! I should rework it but I am also in the process of re-creating this video with a new voice over because this was the first ever time I made a video essay and the audio quality in this video isn't the greatest. Also in this video there are some misspelled words so I hope to create a new updated version which will vastly improve your viewing and listening experience! I already created a thumbnail for that video which I am very happy with so I am hoping to release that video in May or early June :D Once again thank you so much for leaving such a thoughtful comment you really made my day buddy ❤️
@@RayuWasTaken No worries mate, youve got something here keep at it :)
This is amazing, please don’t stop.
Very well made! Makes me want to keep listening non-stop. It’s very insightful, and strikes a chord! The music, the editing, the constant, consistent talking, with a great voice makes this very easy to listen to!

@lesserevil8136 You're very kind my friend! Thankyou for watching I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to send me a message! I hope to improve and make even better videos for your enjoyment in the future!
@@hydra3232 Hi mate! The music most people are asking for is a piece called "Where is my mind" acoustic version I hope you enjoy listening to it!
You did an amazing job on this character analysis my friend. I love how both you and I can analyze the same character, yet reach different lessons and conclusions (although there's a lot of overlapping as well which is inevitable). Thank you for visiting my channel, I hope too see more content from you in the near future!
Thankyou brother! Your kind words are heartwarming :D I really enjoy watching your videos too! Your Tyrion video is a personal favourite of mine! He is without a doubt my favourite character in a 'Game Of Thrones' and your writing was amazing to listen too! I hope you create new videos in the future my friend I have been patiently waiting! :D
Not only the essay is amazing, but also u choose the perfect clips to show what u were saying, and omg your voice🤩🤩 this is a masterpiece! I love it ( here from reddit☺️)
You're so kind thankyouu so much!😊 I'm sooo happy you enjoyed the video!!😄
I love your video, very much, please make video like this more, there's so much movie character or historical figure that would be interesting to discuss about their philosophy...
INCREDIBLE JOB MAN, INSIGHTFUL ESSAY AND ALSO GOOD WORK ON MARKETING THE VIDEO. LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR FUTURE ESSAYS.
Thankyouu!! 😎
Incredible video, very well structured essay. Great work my friend. Keep killing it :)
Thankyou so much! :)
Very well done, I must say! Not only was I intrigued by the essay, which I think is very well written, but also by the editing. I liked how you incorporated all these scenes and analogies from other fictional stories. It added variety in the visuals. Also, the essay honestly slightly changed my perception of Grace... I always had the impression that the possibilities regarding the character of Grace were more far-reaching than they were ultimately used, but your essay highlights the importance of the impact Grace and their relationship had on Tommy and his character development. Thank you, I really enjoyed it :)
Agreed!
Extraordinary video , man..Thank you so much.
Absolutely loved this ! Great analysis! The editing is fire ! 🔥💚🔥💚

Thankyou brother! I appreciate your support it really means alot to me! I wish to make even better videos in the future for your pleasure :D
Very enlightening. Thank you, incredible character study, Thomas Shelby is one of the most interesting characters that’s ever been portrayed on television, Steven Knight & Cillian Murphy shared a gift, the creator & the actor brought him to life to in which he embraces darkness & light . One thing I’ve noticed w/ Cillian Murphy is he has played a soldier in other productions, he shines in those roles. As well as Peaky He played a shell shocked soldier in Dunkirk, he has also played a soldier in The Edge Of Love, The Wind That Shakes The Barley & The Trench.
this channel is underrated !
You have a beautiful voice brother, and I loved this essay, came from Reddit, it was worth it!

This is an incredibly interesting psychological analysis of the character. I watched it twice already. And if you would make one about William from Westworld, I would be very interested in your viewpoint.🧐

To regret one’s own experiences is to arrest one’s own development. To deny one’s own experiences is to put a lie into the lips of one’s own life. It is no less than a denial of the soul. Oscar Wilde, De Profundis

You are a Pleaky Blinder now boii 🙌
Great vid, sub'd!
Till this day I struggle to understand what you mean in the end. “Life is a deception, that has the potential to create real emotion. A lie that creates a truth…. But the greatest tragedy of all was making the world believe you existed in the first place” Idk why I never asked and for a while I couldn’t find the video again. But after an hour of searching, I’ve stumbled on this masterpiece again 😂 I would appreciate it if you could further explain.
Hello my friend! It's sweet that you tried to find my video again that made my heart melt 😅 As for my writing...The last passage summarises Thomas Shelby as a character. "Life is a deception that has the potential to create real emotion" A lot of people nowadays tend to live their lives trying to please others but when one becomes self aware it comes with negative and positive side effects. "A lie that creates a truth" in becoming self aware you then sometimes have to be someone you're not in order to get ahead in the world. In a way you have to hide your true self. The "Lie" then becomes the "truth" to the outside world. In peaky blinders we rarely ever see Tommy be his true self, We don't see him smile nor does he show a wide range of emotions but the few times that he does he's surrounded by the comfort of his family or when he is talking to himself. This is because showing your true intentions and or chatacter can be a sign of weakness. Villains in all forms of story telling use this to their advantage for example the green goblin using MJ as a bargaining tool to get revenge on Spider-Man. The same way in the real world sometimes you don't know who you can trust. That's why as people we often tend to be stand offish at times. "The greatest tragedy of all was making the world believe you existed in the first place" It's a great shame that Tommy has to live a life of seclusion...Internally speaking. We as the audience think we know him but we really don't. It's all an act. The character known as "Thomas Shelby" is not the same man who used to smile and laugh all the time pre world war 1. I believe he is still in there somewhere hidden deep within himself but we will never see that side of him and I think thats the real tragedy of the story. Having to essentially kill a part of yourself to keep those around you safe. We think we know the man but realistically speaking we haven't even scratched the surface. I hope this helps my dude :D
I feel this, because I’ve seen it work irl. You have to sacrifice the real you to project strength, it’s left to you personally to decide if it’s worth it
