  • The problem with this system is the chemicals penetrate into all the tight spot welded lap seams and can't be removed or neutralized, it will in a few years eat holes through the metal.

    • No!! After all chemical were applied the next step is rinse it with water , they will make sure not chemical residue is left behind in the metal, then they apply a galvanized coat to prevent rust from coming back.... been there done that 😉

  • Just sand blast it. It does all 3 of those steps without dipping a car in chemicals.

    • I agree, however there are some nooks and crannies in a car unibody that you can't get to, where the chemical dipping is important. And even if you could sandblasting get every inch of the car you'd still want a dip it to give it to rust inhibitor treatment.
