Jeff and his XL American Bully, Ace are living a great life together. Jeff got Ace as a Pandemic pet and is really happy he made that choice. An American Bully XL is a variety of the hybrid, or designer, dog breed American Bully.This breed has only been around for a couple of decades.
Mighty fine looking dog there. While I personally fancy working bulldogs like the American pit bull, I can also respect the concept of American bullies. Not everyone needs or wants an extremely high drive go-getter, but folks may still want a dog with a more bull look to them. That being said, I never agreed with bullies that were bordering on the non functional side. Dogs like the exotic American bullies do not look like the way to go. Functionality is still important even for dogs that are more for show than go, if for nothing else but the dog's health and quality of life.

I completely agree, those pocket bullies just look unhealthy and inbred… the standards and the xl are beautiful and look like a great breed standard. We personally own a xl and he’s unbelievably affectionate and has zero human or animal aggression but also knows when to be protective… he’s got a great bloodline and it’s shows in his temperament
My female American Bulldog’s coloring and build is so similar to Ace, that they could be from the same litter. Even the eye color is the same. This breed has so much heart. Thanks for sharing.
I'm so happy to see a video with an XL Bully like this! I have one of these and he's such a wonderful dog, but I very rarely see them with natural ears or without being so wide as the average bully. Ace is incredibly beautiful, you can tell a lot of love goes into him!

My neighbor has a bully like this. A really nice dog. He whines and cries when he sees my rottX, and they get together and roughhouse. I'm pretty sure that anyone who tries to break in or hurt their kids is likely to get a rude awakening.

At his age XL Bullies are still growing until 18 months at least, and their joints aren’t fully connected so surprised his okay despite the intense workouts. Beautiful dog

These dogs should win awards as they are great at acting, they can "appear" friendly and approachable but the truth is they are a ticking time bomb.. No one knows when they will snap. Just look at the type of people who own these breeds. Those who are hoping to make a business out of breeding them, as they have no real education. There have been many attacks and fatalities in the UK and abroad. It has been said this breed is next on the banned list, which many would welcome. NO MORE BREEDING OF DANGEROUS DOGS!
2 XL bullies this week were shot dead after they ran loose in a field and killed over 20 Sheep causing $20,000 of losses. a 3yo was mauled this week.
Beautiful dog(even though I’m not a fan of the blues or fawn) still very young. It’s good that he’s willing to work. He doesn’t seem to have high super high drive though. I’d like to keep my eye on this dog as he is still very young.

@@jeffgomez6290 That’s incredible….perhaps you should breed him with an authentic American Pitbull Terrier to get the right balance between structure and muscle mass. Those pups would sell for high value, if the right APBT female is chosen.
This is what American Bullies should be like. A large functional dog that has the possibility of serving a purpose that at a minimum can do weight pulling and/or bitework. Ideally as capable protection dogs. Many other American Bullies are mutant freaks with zero function and worse health.

XL’s seem to be better proportioned. The classics often have short legs in relation to their bodies.
XLs are taller I believe and may have cane corso in their lineage
