Amazing video as usual!

“Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.“
I live my life by this credo. It’s kind of a strange philosophy for a teacher to follow, but it’s worked for me so far.
@@danieljohnson2005 I don't know if I could man, you're strong
Breon no, I was just kidding. I have a family.
It doesn’t mean to leave everything and being a loner your entire. Like Neil in the movie, actually he got a women and pacino said are you a monk? This means you can still attached to things but when something big coming up or you feel the heat, make sure you gotta make your move quick
"The sun rises and sets with her"
The perfect blend of style & realism.

No one shoots L.A. better than Michael Mann. He somehow manages to capture the sprawling urban landscape all in right colours.
It’s the light that he uses! Superb
And Florida, D.C., Missouri, South America, and pretty much any location he's made a movie in. Whether it's with Dante Spinoti or other Cinematographers, Mann's style is hyper real and beautiful.
I wish he would make a movie in my hometown Boston… of course it will never happen ie I am just dreaming
"HEAT" is honestly one of the Greatest films ever made! That's a fact.
It's the greatest film I've ever seen. And I've seen 1,000s.
That, ronin and 7even...best of that few years. Compaired to the shit now
I agree. It was long but did not feel so and was realistic yet not indulgent.
This movie has no shortcomings, absolutely nothing. It was done to the point of perfection. Backed by Legends De Niro and Al Pacino, arguably two of the best movie actors ever lived.
Agreed absolutely!!!
DeNiro and Pacino Michael Mann's direction Moby's electrifying score Cinematography Fast-pace editing Sound effects
Pure Class...
Score was by Elliot Goldenthal and many accompanying artists including Moby
🤩👌👍❤️
Val Kilmer increíble performance
@@emi3710 Happy birthday to Val. What a coincidence.
The first film i ever saw where i felt bad when the antagonist died. A Masterpiece of character development
That’s what’s so great about this movie, it really blurs the line with who’s the antagonist and who’s the protagonist.
@@danieljohnson2005 Yes. They are both... both!
Public enemy
@@eoincollins379 That was sad! Even sadder, though, was when Cagney's character shot his mentor, Putty Nose.

"Bon voyage mfer, you were good"

Most underrated, under appreciated movie ever. 2 greatest actors of all time in a classic action heist crime thriller. Doesn’t get any better than that
The whole cast is amazing! One of the best supporting casts ever, actually...
@@Jimmy1982Playlists Absolutely !! 👌
But, I love this film.
Underrated?????
@@gianmariacelardi8580 Yes, this movie did not get the recognition and success it deserved. Directors like Tarantino and the creators of gta were inspired a lot by it. A real masterclass…
the end of this movie with this song was just something else, one of the best endings in the history of television
Yes, exactly such a cathartic ending. The best ending shot ever.
🥺
Told you I'm never going back ..
What a film! I regularly go back and watch this, the colour palette is wonderful
damn how degrated hollywood ...
I love how cold the colour palette is for a film called Heat
It is but then the blues and that ending shot is well yeah cold.
This 26 year old movie looks like it came out yesterday. Michael Mann is an amazing director.
Yes, it hasn’t aged a bit.
I didn't remember this movie shot so beautifully. How the hell wasn't this nominated for an oscar for it?
gellert varga the heist robber this movie is based on, had family members who petitioned for it not to be glorified.
@@metalmanny666 Who ?
@@LeoCeka Neil McCouley or whatever his last name was
@@metalmanny666 Okay, I understood, but who hasn’t to be glorified ?
@@LeoCeka I don’t understand your sentence
its ironic. The name of the movie is heat but the tone of the movie its blue and cold colours. The photography of this movie is pure mystic, The blue tone ,The shoots, The visual narrative its to another world💫
I disagree; blue is the color of heat, so blue flames are the hottest, and white comes next when the gas burns completely.
I love the scene with Neil and Eady on the balcony. In the background you can see the LA skyline and it looks like a blue flame. Heat. This movie is so damn good.
one of my all-time favorites ^^ if you can make The Insider & Collateral also ;)
Greetings to my fellow Michael Mann fan ;)
The Insider is brilliant!
@@Jimmy1982Playlists is amazing

Now I can see how the dark knight took a lot of inspiration from Heat

You must! It is incredible.
Michael Mann at the top of his game.
I really hope you’ve seen it by now. This is one of the greats.
The best of the best. 👌💙
The words cannot describe how beautiful this is
This film is where GTA 5 caught it’s vibe from.
I wish. Honestly GTA V isnt nearly as stylish with its cutscenes as this. It has more the vibe of a sitcom.
This movie was incredibly influential all over the pop-culture from movies to videogames. As silly as it may sound I heard about it when I found out it Inspired a bollywood movie which was classic cop vs criminal story too but was more like fast and furious in aesthetic rather than anything like heat. The ending of heat just gets me no matter how many times I watch it
@@kenshi_cv2407 Weird.
This should have been nominated for best picture and best director at the very least, it's funny that Babe was nominated, yeah the movie about the pig.
Heat and Collateral are one of the best movies ever taken in the history of cinema
Absolutely my top 2 films
Also Thief by Mann is a beautiful one.
@@miccorr99 that’s on my to watch list along with manhunter.
@@AuctioneerElite Manhunter another gem👍🏻
The music in this movie is absolutely brilliant
Some of the best shootout scenes you could see in cinematography Michael Mann is one hell of a Director
Heat is such and underrated piece of art, I love every second of this movie
I would venture to write the gunfight is not even the best bit.
You can tell how much soul went into this movie
Micheal Mann's best and best action-thriller film of 90's. PERIOD.
I've literally just watched the film after more than a decade since seeing it last time. Now I have a totally different appreciation for it and I admire Mann's work greatly. The moment Moby's music fades in it just completes the film for me, it's just so so good.
Thank you very much!!
I came because I found out that Christopher Nolan was inspired by this movie to make *The Dark Knight,* and they do have a resemblance in the photograph. In both films the cinematography looks *beautiful* ✨ and *powerful on screen.* 🎥🌃
Esta es sencillamente una película PERFECTA
I would like to take a quick minute to point out that in the span of ONE YEAR, Natalie Portman did this after doing Leon: The Professional. How do you begin your career better?
A movie is doing something right when you find pitty for guys shooting innocent civilians in broad daylight.
Exactly! I actually felt really bad for Michael despite the fact that he was holding a little girl hostage when he was killed. How is that possible?
@@danieljohnson2005 eh the little girl shouldn't have been standing still
@@SDuce3 Poor little girl.
Man, this clip and music make me feel like I am 11 again. Like I have a school tomorrow. It’s such a nostalgic uppercut right to the chin. Such an uncomfortable and at the same time warm feeling. I am 28 now, and i wanna go back
Una de las mejores peliculas de los ultimos 30 años
Everytime I watch this movie it seems better then the time before.
Michael Mann always has the best music for his films.
i keep coming back to this. A masterpiece. Just finished Heat 2 and have these shots playing out in my head as I was reading. 10/10
This film was one of the best films I've ever seen in my entire life without a shadow of a doubt, the music, the characters, the emotions and feelings put forward by Michael Mann are impeccable. Not to mention the inspiration that this film gave to electronic games and several other films that came later, simply sensational.
The Beauty Of Magnolia, Pulp Fiction, Black Swan, Casino, Goodfellas, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, ça serait pas pire, je sais pas si tu les as vu, as tu vu Magnolia? c'est un des meilleurs films
Magnolia ? Pour sur, c'est un chef-d'œuvre
I love the story. That it's a story about one man bound by destiny and the other bound by duty, both have their own personal loves and struggles off the war zone and yet they are both determined to take one and other down, no matter what.
My favorite, a real gem
One of my absolute favourite films of all time. Absolute flawless piece of movie magic.
Hasta ahora no me explico está película con dos actores principales al Pacino Robert de niro no gano ningún Oscar ni i no el de director Michael en Mann película realizada en en 1995 participaron Val Kilmer Tom tsizimore la mejor película de los 90
Heat is hands down my favorite movie of all time What a fantastic film
Love these vids. Stunning camera work. Heat is a masterpiece.
Mann-Pacino-De Niro-Moby : La meilleure recette!
One of the best movies of the '90s and therefore of all times.
Never get attached too something, you are not willing too walk out on, if you feel the heat right around the corner.
ITS crazy good FILM .... my best favorite one in 90 --s , thank you, mr. Mann
The director, production team and cast all at the peak of their powers.. an excellent film.
*A TRUE MASTERPIECE*
Solitude is a main theme of Michael Mann's cinemas. I love and respect him and his work.
When I saw that dot of white light on the corner of that coffee table, my mind was blown. Also as a.career person, who also married, I felt this was the best film I had ever seen on the quandaries of relationships - of family vs. the soul deep passions of a true calling.
Beautiful in every sense of the word
God... I miss the 1990s
I have not seen it, but it looks gorgeous!
Fun fact: Christopher Nolan took inspiration from “Heat” to make “The Dark Knight”.
Now I definitely need to watch this )
@@roberthipolito1351 Didn't know that, but i actually noticed that before, how the cinematography and the realistic feel of some action scenes from TDK reminded me of Heat.

My favourite movie. The perfect definition of a director's artistic style of cinema. Michael Mann is too underrated and I still can't understand why he has not worked since 2015. Still hoping for Heat 2.

Superb editing, the scenes you have beside each other are in dialogue with each other in the most amazing way, bravo.
The movie was so good and engaging that I didn't even notice that its cinematography was this good. One of my all time favorites.
Props to the music in the background, it absolutely fits perfect for the atmoshphere in this fim. Michael Mann is a genius when one of his films plays in a sykline from L.A and the Bay Area it is truly just breath taking.
таких фильмов больше не снимают. печаль.
Michael Mann only makes masterpieces. Generational and legendary storyteller.
Came back to watch this masterpiece of a video. Made me cry ❤
It is definately one of my top 10 favorite movies I have ever seen and Ive seen a lot. The amount of dramatic and thought provoking moments is just insane. The movie makes you worry about characters and be emotional more than in "real drama" movies. It just feels harsh and so real. I watched many crime masterpieces like Collateral (9/10), Casino (10/10), Goodfellas (9/10), The Departed (8/10), Shot Caller (10/10), No Country for Old Men (9/10) which are great, but Heat is just on another level. It hits different. Im still wondering why Heat did not get any rewards. Sometimes it just feels unfair that better movies being underappreciated. Look, for example, at movie Manhunter 1986. It is literally the most underrated movie of all time which did not get any rewards either. But when you look at The Silence of Lambs it has freaking 5 oscars. For what? As a detective movie it is just mediocre not even 2 heads below SE7EN which I cant say about Manhunter. In Manhunter you know the thoughts of the detective, his approach, his feelings and difficulties while finding maniac. As for psychological horror TSOL is good but not great like The Shining or Manhunter. Some things just can't be explained.
Simply, STILL, *THE* GREATEST film I've EVER seen.
Amazing film. The music is so good.
Thanks for putting this up. Its so good to watch all of these scenes.
The most beautiful movie I have ever seen
this movie means the world to me so naturally now this video does too. thank you for your content. beautiful job.

To watch the mistakes made but they are barely mistakes and almost feel right and that ending shot is just marvellous.
Thank u for this masterpiece !
Um dos melhores filmes que já vi pedia minha mãe pra alugar a fita vhs quase todo sabado gostava muito quando criança e continuo gostando saudades daquela época 😢💔
You almost always pick the best piece of music from the film... kudos!
the world before cell phones, the internet, or social media where ideas were plenty and people still oozed originality. This film was the last of that era.
I can see you have eyes for cinema and music. Really good editing! Keep it up
I hear Mann's gonna make a prequel for this, my picks for Vincent Hanna and Neil McCauley are Oscar Isaac and Jake Gyllenhaal or Robert Pattinson
That would be so great. Perhaps a prequel series or if they make a sequel it should be an alternative storyline where McCauley goes the other way with her.
Perfection as always & nothing less. This is the best Channel for film on YT
