  • Many of my friends are Asian. I’m always asked ‘what meaning is famished, or parched.’ Needless to say I use many of my favourite, lesser used words. One Korean friend in particular appreciates learning my teasers. Her eloquence, rather than ‘use of english’ is expanding.

  • "I'm starving" and "I could eat a horse!" are two phrases you'll hear a lot in American cartoons or sitcoms Why? It's an exaggerated why to express that you're hungry, which gives it a comedic element. Give these two phrases a try the next time you're feeling hungry!
