Very nice feature about the silk weaving business. Nikki is such a pro. This episode felt a bit rushed?? Exteriors were quite plain I thought.

The second house was amazing, all the history if those walls could talk. The Mystery house was done so well, not like a new house at all, so many cool old materials used. Nice couple.
Strange how they wanted to move to the country, and then rejected the mystery house because it was too remote! Make your minds up, folks!
I sometimes wonder how serious some of these house shoppers are in their intentions to buy a new home. Is their appearance on the show simply a lark? What sort of vetting process is employed by the producers of ETTC?
i thought that too but i have see at least 10 shows if all i've watched where they did buy the house they liked. so not all are just in it for the tv show.
Very few are interested in anything more than being on TV and given the people who are on the show I'd say NO vetting of any kind is done.
Does it really matter all that much? Just having the chance to see the homes and the land around them is enough for me.
Ettc is a person uploading TV series we love to watch. There are a few versions of 10 years later visiting some that did buy, but hard to find online

Well they got their 15 minutes of fame , not sure what they were looking for in a house as I thought all 3 were fantastic, the second one being fabulous.

Nicki is one of my favorite hosts. Can anyone help me, please? Last week in the middle of the night I watched an episode that Nicki was hosting. I cannot find it again so I can show my husband. The couple followed Nicki to the top floor where they had to bend down to enter the room. The entrance was partially blocked by the Model Trains that were taking up that space. I remember this part because when they were ready to leave the room, Nicki joked that the camera had to stop filming because she had to crawl out of the room and said they didn't need to film her bum. I would be very grateful for your help!!!

Houses No. 1 and No. 3 were both perfect for their needs, although the first would have been my choice (less maintenance). If they were serious they would have taken it.

I like the way these people all tramp round the garden, then look around upstairs with shoes on.
Gravel front of house 1 takes away the curb appeal. With a front garden this house 🏡 would be adorable.

In my country India most women spend a lot of time cooking for the family everyday ! Most families still the joint kind , more than 5 people ! Then there are many festivals requiring special food and delicacies to be cooked hence a big lovely kitchen in my scenario would be a boon
So where would you prepare and cook food? In the garage?
Many meals are cooked and served each day...why would you want a SMALL kitchen? Another benefit is that family can all mingle together!

Question: Why all of the gravel driveways? Doesn't anyone do cement/concrete? I think of us in the States with snow plowing.
They don't have nearly the snow we do. But I've known folks with gravel drives in the country, and they just have the plow raised an inch or two. Also, gravel drives and parking areas allow water to be absorbed rather than run off down the road. Good for the land, trees and plants. Good for the water table, too, if you have a well. In many places in the US where drought is an issue, communities are requiring either loose surface like gravel, or porous pavers that allow water to run through the gaps.
@@satnitcboy completely agree on all points, besides the fact that I love the crunch of gravel, for me nothing speaks 'country estate' like gravel crunch.
Everyone here in Poland has a concrete block drive, i hate them. we are going to put gravel down

you could tell they weren't going to choose to buy that house because they kept saying it 'was' perfect not it 'is' perfect. just a slight slip of the tongue like when someone is missing and a person starts talking about them in past tense like they died, bcz that person killed them and knows they are dead. same idea anyway! they just wanted to please the tv show i think. although they did like it.
They always said nice, perfect and stunning house for them when asked by the host in all of the episode but at the end....final outcome they said the house they choose to revisit were too far, too big, too old, too expensive, too odd, too cottagey, too small, too modern and bla bla bla... i think better look for very serious buyers rather then sombody want to become popular on tv.
Yahya Sanuse I agree with you. And they said that the mystery house was too remote but I can see several houses round about and the village is only 1 ½ miles away = I can walk that far in half an hour. I don't call that remote by any stretch of the imagination !

I watch this type of video a lot and it seems like most of the men want modern and the women want character. Has anyone else noticed this? I thought it would be 50/50 so it has surprised me. This includes Americans and British men and women.
The women are romantics who like the notion of historic houses but the men realise how expensive it is to maintain old properties - they need work done on a yearly basis!

Very bad idea when one dies. I've seen relatives come out of the woodwork when that happens, taking everything and leaving the partner high and dry.
