  • There was a great interview with Krutoy, Dimash and his Dad present....I think before his Arnau concert performance in Russia.....and Krutoy said in response to a reporter asking about more pop radio songs, Dimash doesn't need to sing standard formula pop songs (radio) with a 5 note range and repeating the same words, he sings songs that are ....something he said about having depth and great meaning.....Krutoy went on to point out that without being on the radio Dimash is selling out 20K arenas all over the world and people are flying in from all over the world to see his concerts......so DQ does his pop songs, but I don't think he concerns himself with radio play.....he does it to express his huge stylistic range and to satisfy his internal creative impulses and drives, his pop foray's are not to be on radio - he recognizes in his ever humble way that he doesn't need the radio path to reach his Dears :) :) :). Also in another interview Dimash said "I don't have a producer or traditional mgr" (his family and he, primarily himself - determines everything......DQ went on to say "because I can not wear clothes or sing a certain song if I'm told to (to be popular)"....it has to come from a deeper place :) THAT LAST NOTE.....THE GREATEST SOUND, THE GREATEST MOST EXCITING 20 SEC HELD NOTE IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC!

    • My thoughts too, he does not need to do 'pop' to fill out stadiums world wide.He is not played on radio here in Australia, ( although he could be on the more classical shows)., and if he never tours here (which I hope he does)..I would travel to see him in concert...'Pop'..is not , and does not have to be, the core of success in the West....it has been proven by the likes of many, such as Pavarotti, Bocelli, Josh Groban etc etc, who have performed to full stadiums in the West...and around the world..

This was the comment I left on Wolf Rock's reaction video for Ave Maria: I believe that Dimash is able to totally connect to Source energy and in doing so he is able to suspend conscious thinking and to channel that energy outwardly toward the listener. I believe also that this is why people react to him so deeply even though they may not understand a word he is singing. Other A-List performers touch the heart, but because of this advanced ability Dimash can touch our souls. However, to truly "get" Dimash one has to be able to receive such high frequency energy - and all Dears have this ability. This was magnificent!!!!! Bravo to Dimash and Igor! • Best vocalist in the world, hands down. It's more than that, because of the depth of his artistic sensibilitry and absolute comand as a performer. It's as if you have the best vocalist of every style and tecitura, the best performer and a mystical messenger from angelic dymensions and melted them all into a human. Art doesn't see a soul like this very often. This is not only an extraordinary musical experience, it points to the human potential and our transcendental nature. We all have it in us, so few figure out how to manifest it, and have the courage and insane discipline to polish the medium for its expression. This mans love for his craft should be on the dictionaries as an example of the word love.

  • Dear Tara, Dimash is not equal to any other human being. He is the only one. God forgot to stop when he reached him. He gave him a lot, a lot, really a lot of everything ... Most likely his computer crashed and he couldn't stop in time. 😄 Di is goddamn the best. His voice cuts the notes exactly like a laser. He is impossible to be placed in the limitations of pop music. He shouldn't even try to fit into any mainstream. Even all world music is too limited for him. He is huge. He is not on a global level, but on a galactic level. Dimash is the true beautiful phoenix, and pop music is the most common turkey, repeating what it hears. It's like comparing a Bugatti or a Maserati to a regular Volkswagen. It is a crime to own a car with a six-cylinder engine and drive only in first and second gear. For me, every song he performs is much more meaningful and powerful than the best Justin Bieber's hits created thanks to computer technology. Dimash's songs are evergreens. We are tired of copy-paste pop music and meaningless hits. Dimash is like fresh air. He launches us into another world, into another dimension with different sensations. His style is unique. He must not lose his uniqueness. He is pure, real music - alive, breathing music, not a cold, computer studio product. He doesn't even need a recording studio. It is enough to record his live performances on stage and it is already perfect enough. Dimash is life, air, feeling, real touch, love... He Is the truth. His music is a fairy tale you don't wanna leave and enter the gray world of robots and soullessness. I think mankind, whole humanity desperately needs Dimash, just as he is now. And very soon the whole world will get acquainted with his pure, healing voice. Dimash is a cure. Anti stress pill. Viagra for our souls. If Dimash becomes Bieber, I will become a walking dead... Pretty long comment. Sorry. 😄 Ok. We are waiting for your next reaction to Ave Maria.

  • As always, a very enjoyable reaction and analysis. Dimash premiered his newest song "Stranger" on August 19, 2021, during his performance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krotoy on the piano and introduced Olzhas Qurmanbeck on the kobyz. It is an amazing performance, one of, if not the best to date, in my humble opinion. Igor Krutoy composed the music, American poetess Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, and Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan) did the arrangement. Igor Krutoy is quoted as saying that “it was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way.” When Dimash first listened to the melody of "Stranger" he felt that the addition of a kobyz to the musical arrangement would give the song a unique, yet very fitting sound. Thus, the kobyz made its debut at the New Wave Hall at the Sochi Olympic Park, and what a great choice indeed. It is a beautiful sounding instrument that seems to underscore the song’s deep meaning. This wasn’t the first time that Dimash has featured Olzhas Qurmanbeck playing the kobyz. You can also enjoy him in a few of Dimash’s other performances such as Qairan Elim (official music video) and Samaltau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival). The Kobyz is a very old, traditional, and sacred instrument in Kazakhstan. The kobyz or kyl kobyz is the most ancient bowed instrument on earth, widespread among the Turks, Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Bashkirs, and Tatars. It became the basis for most of today’s bowed instruments around the world, including European instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and contrabass. The Kyrgyz variant is called kyl-kayak. The instrument is carved from a single piece of wood (typically apricot) or juniper (arsha), maple, pine tree, or birch. The instrument consists of three parts: head (bas), middle (base is keude), and lower part (ayak) and usually measures 60-70 cm. It has two strings made from horsetail hair; one to provide melody and the other resonance. The bow is shaped like an archer’s bow, and its string is tied to both ends of the bent branch and affixed with strong threads of camel wool. The New Wave Music competition started in 2002, and for nearly two decades now has been one of the most iconic music events in Russia and other parts of the world. It is an international contest for young performers of popular music. It was founded by Russian composer, performer, and music producer Igor Krutoy (seen here playing the piano) and Latvian pianist and composer Raimonds Pauls. Russian superstar Alla Pugacheva eventually joined as one of the show’s organizers. The contest usually lasts for six days: 3 contest days, 2 special event days, and the final day when the contest's results are announced and a final concert is performed. The television audience of the New Wave music competition numbers more than 200 million people. In 2018, Dimash debuted as a guest performer, performing his now legendary rendition of “Sinful Passion”. This year (2021) Dimash took part as a guest performer, as well as a judge. In this year’s finale, 11 participants from 9 countries will compete for the grand prize.

    • @@YECRED22 I haven't heard about that Dimash would have signed any contract but with that Chinese company BGM talent when he was in the Singer (had to do that obviously then). And today the situation with that company is, they practically let Dimash do whatever he wants (according to Dimash). About a year ago Dimash signed to the U. S. company IpZ (not sure about the name), but the firm only helps in promotion and finding business contacts. They are not a production company. Dimash (/his family) has own production company DimashAli.

  • I believe two KZhead channel producers, a singer/vocal coach (woman) and a reactioner (man), got to see Dimash live before COVID. The gentleman flew into London for his concert and had a blast meeting Dears. While the woman and her mom reserved tickets online for Dimash's NYC debut concert, only to find out they got ripped off online. But they managed to get general admission tickets the same night and stood much closer to the stage. and even got to see him a few inches away when he went into the crowd! So they lucked out! Both stated it was an experience of a lifetime to listen to him live. I hope to catch him in concert live some day. Good luck to you, hope you fulfill your desire to watch him live....and perhaps do a duet....he's done it before with a KZhead fan, Rimar. A wonderful singer in her own right. But she said she was so nervous on stage with Dimash. :)

He decided that the folk instrument would fit perfectly into the song, giving it an exciting sound. The performer of the kobyz part is Olzhas Kurmanbek....This is what the Maestro Krutoy said: "It was Dimash's talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. • I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he is the best living vocalist in the world, and this is coming from someone who listens to all kinds of music, metal, prog, jazz, rock, hip hop, folk, acapella. I have heard so many utterly alien singers, but nothing compares to dimash. If you completely ignore having the highest most powerful mix and falsetto I have ever heard, and a whistle register that I don't even know how to reach (I am a low baritone, I can use low techniques to get into the zero octave, but I can't go past a G5 at max) Just his mid range singing, not challenging himself too much, still has more technicality and micro detail than anything I have ever heard. Also all that not even mentioning the fact that he hit a C2 in this performance (even basses struggle to comfortably hit something like that and he's a high tenor. I know it was brief and slightly friend but it's still predominantly chest. I have maybe an A1 on a good day but that low stuff takes years and years, especially when you mix in subharmonics, kagyraa/throat bass, growl, ingressive phonation, chest fry, and vocal fry, all different ways to get lower and all immensely difficult techniques to master. Its my goal to master all (excpet ingressive, I can do it but I don't find it too useful)

  • Had to turn the volume down when you started screaming - scared my cat! You realise don't you that you've now left the Planet 'Reactor' and joined the Galaxy; "Dears" ? The Lyrics are from an American Poet who wrote this to highlight the plight of the increasing numbers of displaced people all around the world. His vocal - & all performance - choices are very intentional and I'd hazard a guess that these diverse 'voices' throughout are not about 'showing off' the diversity of his range - but 'giving voice' to / representing the diverse people impacted. Including the middle eastern sounding light cry childlike voice. [ A film maker reactor focussed Lazer-like on this and asked viewers also: Did you catch that stumble and bewildered look he presents as he enters a strange new world -as a Stranger?] No I didn't - had to watch it again - but then it was clear. His artistic integrity and fine nuance of storytelling in his performances is phenomenal.
