    • They need both. Russia can launch missiles from their homeland, or the sea. A robust series of Patriot style launchers should do the job.

    • You still don't believe that Russia has destroyed the patriot system in Ukraine. Patriots can't do anything for hypersonic missiles bro. Ukraine had plenty of patriot systems, ask yourself this question where are the patriot systems that Ukraine had. What happened to them.

      @kirikoo9981@kirikoo998118 күн бұрын
    • @@kirikoo9981 Patriots can take out hypersonic missiles because this thing called math exists, this of course ignores the fact that what Russia has been using isn't true hypersonic weapons. Ukraine only ever had a handful of Patriots, which isn't enough to defend a country that size and support its forces on the front.

      @foilhat1138@foilhat113818 күн бұрын
    • Patriot missiles are near hypersonic themselves. The Patriot missile system, designed primarily for defence against aircraft and ballistic missiles, can travel at speeds of up to Mach 5, or roughly 3,800 miles per hour. Larger hypersonic missiles take longer to make directional changes at hypersonic speeds. Patriot missiles are smaller and more agile than a larger hypersonic missiles. Hypersonic missiles face challenges in manoeuvring and changing direction at their extremely high speeds. Due to their velocity, they require more time and distance to alter their trajectory compared to slower-moving objects. The smaller patriot missile can typically manoeuvre more quickly and effectively to track and intercept targets, especially those exhibiting evasive manoeuvres. That's where the maths comes in.

General Christopher Cavoli House Armed Services on National Security Challenges in Europe “We're facing challenging times to say the least in the European Theater. Russia's brutal, unprovoked war has ravaged Ukraine for over two years. Their forces are demolishing cities and are destroying innocent lives on a scale we have not seen since the Second World War. Moreover, Russia is turning to the People's Republic of China, Iran and North Korea to sustain its campaign in Ukraine. These countries are forming interlocking strategic partnerships in an attempt to challenge the existing order.
