Putin’s defence minister skipped inauguration as Kremlin braces for re-shuffle

“One of the key absentees at that inauguration was the defence minister.”
The Kremlin is bracing for a shake-up of its senior leadership as Putin prepares to use Shoigu as a fall guy for his failings in Ukraine, says author Ian Williams.

I don't think the war will be won by either side. Because neither side can lose. To my mind it looks chillingly like Afghanistan. Where the Taliban were just about kept in the game for decades ( with Russian /anti US help). Now its the reverse. The Western powers will make certain that Russia never fully wins.

I don't know how visible he was later because I didn't watch the whole thing. He was not wearing his normal uniform, he was wearing a light gray uniform about the same color as Göring's Luftwaffe uniform. I'm actually happy he's still there. The freedom of the world's peoples is the Columbian strategic interest as the Spirit of Freedom crowns our Capitol. This shall be a land of Freedom, the land of the free and the home of the brave. Yes, this Turtle Island of the Earth Mother is where the wretched refuse of thy teeming shore makes a final stand. Unfortunately, Ukraine is right now on the frontline of battles between the Free World and the Enslaved World. As the remnants of the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Battle of the Atlantic, and the Great Pacific War, we the people of Shanghai, Ningpo/Ningbo, Hong Kong, and New York empathize and sympathize with all Ukrainians.
