Kinda hard to call this original since it's heavily inspired from The Stanley Parable (and maybe Portal and Vector). But it deviated so much from the cannon lol so why not.

You know it’s a good animation when you can still enjoy it so much without knowing anything about the story.
None of this happens in the story, the best way I can describe it is semi-original.
I’m just interpreting it as if it is an original short with its own complete story because by doing so I have nothing to throw off my predictions of what it could be about.
@Deez Nuts it's inspired by it
The game this animation is...expanding on?..based off?..idk. but it's called "The Stanley Parable"

the parkour scenes were absolutely FABULOUS. the scenes felt like they were from the game 'Vector' but fully colored.

Love that game as well with the simple parkour and premise of escaping control
Y'know when you listen to a song and go, "I could make an animation of this if I could actually animate," and then every scene plays out in your head? That's what this video is, SAD-ist had that idea and actually followed through with it because they can actually animate
NO WAY I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO DID THAT
@@romancatholicgameing I'm pretty sure it's a pretty universal experience.
I literally want to be an animator for that reason but I don't know where to start and I don't know if I should get stuff like an apple pen and use a tablet or what animation apps I use or editing app, I'm still young but I want to make my own animated series when I'm older and I don't know where to start, and flip a clip isn't helping much since I only have it on my phone an I don't have a tablet
The camera turning around the character as they run; the sync on dodging over, under and through obstacles; the rapid yet carefully placed layering of multiple cut-ins; both main character's emotional reflections being framed in various items; the incredible and seemless zoom from character to camera lens as that doorknob is thrown; the change from fully coloured to unstable linework and back into a fully coloured BAM frame _my GOD!!_ And yet it's this simple moment at 1:38 that gets me. Run Cycle > Camera Rotation > Split Screen Focus of Face and Feet > Breaking through the Split Screen on the Turn _while Syncing with the Music_ AND the Character Overlaps The Cinematic Border in a way that's dramatic, visually pleasing and an indication of a symbolic turning point in the character's mindset/intentions!!! Holy shit!!

I absolutely LOVE the idea that this is a sequel to black decay. the narrator after loosing stanley was so possessive and protective and honestly deranged that he built an entire fake reality with his newfound powers. just to keep this copy of his deceased friend (or lover? cant rly tell) alive. willing to kill him over and over again if it means they get to keep having adventures. seriously fantastic work. I am IN LOVE with this concept for TSP
I don’t feel like they would be lovers, since the narrator does appear to be significantly older than Stanley.

Sadist’s animations are always so cool and awesome, and she works so hard to get the quality and effects to be perfect. Honestly im a little disappointed in KZhead and its viewers for only giving Sadist 2M subs. She and her crew deserve more
Pretty sure she does all the animations by herself which is v impressive
Now that I've played The Stanely Parable your work is 10x MORE IMPRESSIVE JESUS CHRIST. Going from THAT.....to designing BOTH characters..... to the creativity of having Stanely actually try to escape..... to the storyboarding of the fight scenes and just making the story in general....... and then, of course, your animation is phenomenal. On the first (like 20) watches I appreciated your animation, but now I'm starting to realize just how much of a creative process this whole thing was, every little part of it, it's actually insane. Like, the amount of time you must have put in to this. It's so much more incredible and intricate than I ever thought. Like, you didn't just find a game you liked and animated it, you did so much more than that. Thank you.
The hallway disassembly scene at 0:50 was a stroke of symbolic genius. Like the whole room itself is just a switch that the antagonist has his whole hand over, and he was just waiting for the right time to activate it. Our protagonist runs fast, but the operators hand was faster.

I watched Blank Decay so much now, but the storyline is so smooth! The iconic pipe is always there. How the Narrortor is hinted at not being human either is there! It's almost as if the watch is a part of him. He never lrts it go, and once he does, you see him glitching. His eyes flash solid yellow for a moment. Also the animation style is fabulous in both! I love how you can clearly see Narrator controlling the environment until he loses the watch. It transfers into the next video so well. I can't wait to see what else you make!!

Also a huge fan of how well synced this is (1:26 and the whole sequence after 1:52 are especially delightful vis-à-vis syncing). All of that isn’t even touching on the fact that the character acting, animation, and colour choices are absolutely stellar as well. Edit: about the acting, that “blink and you’ll miss it” little self-satisfied smile at the end of the 0:43 sequence is SO GOOD! Hell yeah dude, dodge that furniture! Sad-ist animation power will never cease to amaze me flawlessly moving the camera to match the characters movements, the yellow that sticks out among the rest of the setting's cold blues JESUS CHRIST , the clip where everything effortlessly transitions from sketchy lineart to Sadist iconic perfect lineart, how he learns from his first attempt and breaks the cameras, and may I say, the 5 point perspective on the yellow screens? GOOD GOD. Sadist animations are short cuts to euphoria. Change my mind.
That scene with the glasses 🔥.🔥

Seeing an animation inspired by tsp and Vector bring joy to my heart. Vector isn't that much talked about and is an AMAZING parkour game for mobile. Thank you SAD-ist
YALL NEED TO TALK ABOUT 1:39. It is the best animated depiction of how someone looks when making a split second decision. The way he glances over his shoulder even while he is still barreling ahead and how the scene splits in two and then leads to a third panel of him cutting between the first two as he shoots off in the other direction.
