I made a new awesome jig this time. This allows precise production of round sticks of the desired diameter. It adds a copy template function to create a taper rod and make a simple template copy.
Of course, this cannot replace a wooden lathe. However, it is easier and more useful to create the desired size in a row.

Just when I was thinking "Yeah, really cool, but a bit over-engineered, and no tapering, those table-saw jigs are simpler and can do tapering"... bam! you add template copying! Amazing work. I'm really impressed.

The design and craftsmanship in making this jig is fantastic ... but you've effectively just created a wood lathe, albeit one with a router which can follow templates mounted to it ... still love it though 👍

Nice machine to make broomsticks, my wife breaks them all the time, I would spend about 500 dollars but at least I don't have to go to the supermarket every 3 months

Wow, Just when I think it's perfect, you make another imrovement. I was stuck in that what's next mindset so I was thinking you could put the router sled on rack and pinion to make sliding motion more controlled. It can be hand cranked or motorized.

I bought them on the second hand market. But you can find it on Ali Express.

If I push the blade too deeply in one go, it may break. But I work slowly, tweaking the depth bit by bit with the plunge function of the router. Then it's safe and no problem.
Anyone know what that nifty little tool at 1:30 is?
