Honestly this is the PERFECT comment cuz everyone is automatically thinking it's about Joshua and yes there are a lot of signs that point to it being him but nothing has been confirmed by ANYONE. This is just a speculation by fans who noticed the chemistry between the two co stars and the various different changes that happened between them. Yeah this is really Olivias debut song that she wrote on her own accords. She has written two songs for the show Highschool Musical The Musical The Series which she stars in. One of those being ‘All I Want’ and the other being co-written with her costar Joshua Basset which is called ‘Just For A Moment’. Ive been watching Olivia' s Driver License just recently, reactions, live renditions etc. Honestly, this just blew me away. The kid is so talented. The way she sings her song is more than just singing. It provokes deep emotions. "she changed the delivery of the 2nd chorus... I love that you don't copy and paste the chorus. You changed the vocal delivery on a certain word... add a different riff..." Olivia took us to that moment of her pain and enable her listeners to experienced it. Yes i agree with you!

@Madison Johnson i totally know what u mean and where ur coming from. But, based on these really emotional lyrics, it’s hard not to speculate who it’s about. There are many clues from her lyrics (and even what she’s wearing tbh) that point to it being about her breakup with josh, and the blond haired girl being Sabrina. In olivias live she even said she wrote this 6 mos ago which was about the time where she and josh had some things going on. Despite everything I just said, you’re right. This is livs first debut and her time to shine. Let’s be happy for her instead of focusing on the story behind it :)

watching someone experience olivia rodrigo for the first time is my new favorite past time.
She's 17, first solo single that's not released under a tv show. I think actually all those were promotional singles anyway. But she is a newcomer. She has posted a lot of snippets of her songwriting on insta for years, so it's definitely something she's been developing. I think she recently said she hasn't figured out a style musically yet.
