And this song just reminds me of all she had to go through. Back in the days of Lizzy Grant AKA Lana Del Ray (late 2000's) Lana, you've come so far in life and even though I don't know you personally, I am so proud of you. Thank you for inspiring me and millions of people to be who they want to be and not anyone else. Thanks for making me happy and helping me through your music. I love you

I think what makes this song so incredibly sad is the sense of doom and hopelessness in the lyrics. She felt stuck in her trailer park life and was desperate to get away from it to the point that she would literally do anything (elope to Nevada to get married, put on a show - as in "selling" her body to him as long as he takes her away) and all the while she was coping by doing coke. I would argue she wasn't really in love with this man. I feel like their relationship was more like two people with their own demons who happened to collide for a short period of time.
