We share lures, bait, tactics, and our catches with each other. Someone left their pole one evening and I found it. I got up early the next morning to see if anyone knew who's it was. Sure enough someone described it and I brought it to him. He was in tears because the reel that was on the pole was given to him by his fishing buddy that past away the year before. He offered me money,which I declined, then said " I at least have to give you a hug." That's the only currency I would accept.

  • If I can spare it I always put another fellow fisherman on that good bait fish. I use a cast net to catch bait and then use the bait to catch giants. And I’ve had a few experiences like this and it’s always great to see someone catch a giant with the bait that u put them on

      @JWandsonconstruction@JWandsonconstruction5 ай бұрын
    • @@JWandsonconstruction well, you could do like the lazy people, and buy them where they sell live bait. Or, you could go get you a minnow trap, find you a creek, and catch your own (like a real man😂😂 I'm only joking). Yeah, I have a creek that runs through the back of my property with a bunch of minnows, and crayfish. Idk.... I've never had good luck going after panfish with artificial. Minnows, and sometimes they'll bite on a worm. I usually throw one of each to them, and see what catches first.😁

      @Spike-sk7ql@Spike-sk7ql5 ай бұрын
    • Yeah will probably try minnows from the minnows trap. Because I have a brook in my woods to that should have minnows. But if I never get crappie on the minnows will try the white curlytail for crappie but will probably do minnows because we're I fish it should work. Thanks for the advice😁

  • I love fisherman. I used to fish with my dad all the time, and when I was 20 I lived down by the riverbank, and on Sundays I would go down and fish. It would be all these old men and me, and they took me on as one of their own and taught me even more. They would help me with absolutely anything I needed, offer me old gear, offer me bait if I was leaving early because I was out. My dad is still around, and I do still fish with him, but it was so amazing to be a part of this little community you wouldnt even know existed if you didnt go down to the riverbank before 10am.

If they succeeded on any lures that I have given them, they will remember me & it'll give them confidence to continue our sport. Im *paying it forward*
