10 Unique Interactions in ♦ Sims 1 - Sims 2 - Sims 3 - Sims 4 (2021)
Hey guys, last video of the year! Yay! I wanted this to be butlers but I've been sick and this seemed way more manageable. This is not a comparison nor an evolution, just part of the "unique" videos I've made and I'm not gonna make a voting comment this time since the point of this is they'll be way too different from one another, but hey, feel free to let me know your favorites! My personal favorites are the number 10's in case you were wondering lol
These are not the only 10 unique interactions, just 10 that came to mind, I actually had to cut a few for every game but I hope these give a taste of how the games are doing when it comes to unrepeated concepts, I put the 2021 in because Sims 4 is still going (I mean, wow) and I'm not sure if this video will hold up for 2022.
Anyways, the pills are starting to kick in and I'm tired so that's all from me now, happy holidays and see you next year!

I’ve noticed with the Sims 4 it seems like there are so many more social interactions between sims but they’re all just the same talking animation. Where as with the Sims 2 there were less social interactions but each had different interesting animations
Yeah, I don't know about you but to me adding a new name for an interaction without actually changing anything about it is just lazy, they've been doing that more and more often as the franchise goes on.
For real, they just change the speech bubble and the rest of the animation is pretty much the same in Sims 4. There is literally very little difference between "discuss favorite author" and "share fitness tips"

Did you know that Teen or Adults can really kiss the children goodnight while they were sleeping in The Sims 2 ? That looks heart warming to me

When my child sim goes to bed, the dad will autonomously go upstairs and tuck them in ❤ sometimes try to read to them too. It makes me so happy.
I wish the Maxis who did TS2 were still there, they had so much love by the franchise when they made TS2 (or TS1).
sadly, the creator of sims 1 and 2 (Will Wright) Doesnt work on the sims anymore since the sims 3.
EA pretty much drove Will Wright away and he was the heart and soul of ALL Maxis games, not just The Sims. Then EA sabotaged Maxis around the time of Sims 3, which made it so Maxis could never release another SimCity game. Then in 2015 EA officially destroyed Maxis and many of the original core Maxis team were either gone or so heavily mistreated by EA that they ended up leaving eventually :/ Fuck the Harry Potter reunion. I want a Maxis Reunion! :((!

Sims in 1 and 2 seemed to have so much more personality. The language seems way different, too.
The kids interactions in the Sims 2 are so adorable!
Sims 2 and 3 were all about family and raising babies and love and humanity but 4 is just about pretty sims flirting with each other..

i strangely slightly miss when the games did that, simlish is not meant to be translateable but since will left ts4 is almost completely translateable, well we dont have all the translations but they'll probably leak one day :p
The Teens chasing each other around is basically every sibling relationship lol, sims 2 has so much life to it
There was a really cute interaction in The Sims Vacation where an adult and child could build a snowman together and the adult would lift the child in their arms to help them with the finishing touches. 🥰😍❤️ Sooo adorable. I wish they would have kept something like this in the other games.
Aww! I wish they had that for sims 3.
Sims 2 won. But how weird would it be if you were talking to another adult and they pulled out a puppet(or juggled). Just chatting with a coworker or in line at the store even a friend at your house. 😂just like "oh here's my puppet"

Damn, it's weird to think of what things are unique to the original game -- footsie, reclining picnics, kids playing with yo-yos (and, not seen in this video, being able to do magic). . .really wish some of these would come back!

My favorite so far its Sims 3. I haven't played TS2 in years. Thanks to this channel I might be playing this game again
Wow, as someone who was a bit late to playing the Sims, I’m quite impressed with the original’s picnic scenario, and even the playing footsie. The roughhousing in Sims 2, along with the dancing on the feet was super cute. I started with Sims 3 and some of those were surprises-I knew about the protector option, but not being able to summon said protector or the fight for who is the best. Such fun details in each game to add personality! 🥳 Happy New Year!
Same and when they sit on a beach towel together they can rub lotion on one another :)
I like how in the Sims 4 that woohoo is now graded lol. After each sim woohoos they get a different moodlet depending on how "good" they thought the woohoo was lol. If you are lucky they both loved it but usually one sim loved it but the other thought it was MEH XD lol
It’s usually depends on the sims’ emotion in the sims 4. Both will get fantastic woohoo moodlet while they are in flirty mood. Most of the time, the sims get just ormal woohoo while they are in different emotions like confident, focused or inspired without mods.
Sims 2 animations are my favorite, sims really feel alive in that game
Teens can give kids a noogie Children can torment toddlers with a toy. When young Sims are mean, they are REALLY mean.

Sims 3 invented the cinnamon eating challenge
Lol I was about to say the same thing lol
Only difference is that the Sim won’t die, unlike reality, cause if cinnamon coats your tongue it’ll be very impossible to swallow food or drinks, as it removes all the moisture.
If you don't cancel the swinging around interaction soon enough, it will go on and on for a long time, causing the kid to vomit when he's finally put down. Also you're crab in bed is really harsh lol. 😂

The Sims 2 has the best simlish dialogue IMO. The people voicing them did a great job of making it sound convincing.

Fun fact, in the Sims 2 sims can also propose at a table! I found that really adorable!
The hand puppet interaction never works for me, I call it "the fastest way to lose a friend" lol But the juggling is really funny, and my sims frequently do this interaction, anyway, happy new year! :)
@@teacoffee42 then you don't talk to them for like 2 days and they call you saying that you forget them and you aren't friends anymore lol Sims 2 is just so easy with the best friend forever thing.
It really depends on the other sims points in certain fields of their personality. If less than 7, they are never gonna like those funny interactions
That Sims 1 home looked really cute, I find it so hard to make a nice younger and cooler home because of all the mismatched and wild furniture and patterns but that was nice!
Also, in sims 2, they can propose at the diningtable. I really liked it, when I found out about it.
the kids dancing on the feet of adult sims in ts2 is one of my favorite interactions. when i played the game and saw that for the first time my heart melted after years of looking at lifeless ts4 family interactions

Sims 1 was way ahead of its time, humor and all. Sims 2 just sealed the deal and the rest is history. Really lost the sims charm with how tame Sims 3 & 4 got, IMO.

Huh? Sims 3 is awesome atleast in my opinion, i know it's also your opinion but don't you think you're being too harsh? The open world, the little details, "create your style". All of these and many more features make The Sims 3 really stand out, and even if it's a bit laggy, it still holds a place in my heart. and yeah, the sims 4 is pretty bad
@@killerqueenisthebeststando4381 Absolutely! I’ll give credit where credit is due. Sims 3 has a lot of unique features of its own, especially with horses (sucker for animals) and it’s accessibility to custom content. Personally, I was never fond of how the sims looked. However, the CAS was a game changer and, as you mentioned, the open world opened up a lot more opportunities. There’s plenty more that I can say that’s positive of it, sure, but the crudeness and rough around the edges of Sims 1 & 2 just leave me feeling nostalgic to my youth. Especially since they’re a lot more difficult to play with newer computers. A real shame.

When it comes to the Sims 2 kids showing off tricks, I know they can fail - but I can't remember if it's relationship or mood that does it

When you tell ghost stories around the campfire in ts4, the game spawns a ghost on the lot the next night. But I'm not sure if this is only limited to Granite Falls lots.
I remember a bunch of these, aww gave me warm fuzzy feels even for the weirder ones haha, but others are new to me! I'm especially amused by the apologize in bed; lol that's also a new one but then I don't normally have my Sims fight in Sims 4 so I guess that's why. Gotta say: I like how mood and personality traits affected things more in 1 and 2. Also, you can see how Sims 4 kinda has less unique animations?? If Sims 5 can just bring back more of the unique feeling per Sim, plus ease of build mode and some of the improvements we've seen in CAS, it'll be a decent game. Oh, and horses... I'm sticking by that one! At this point I gave up on fairies and werewolves... I just wanna ride again! :O :D Hope you feel better after your nap!

I miss so many of these interactions. I really wish they would have brought a lot of them into each game.

I’m so glad I was there at the birth of the sims. I’m not exactly proud of what they grew up to be but the ride has been fun so far 😆
Some Sims 3 interactions are from expansion packs University: showing videos, daring to eat cinnamon or divide by zero Generations: hitting people with canes, telling ghost stories Supernatural: asking to be protected/ make promise to protect

I remember in Sims 2 that when your child tries to play cops and robbers with another child who don't your child much, the other child will get scared and run away as if the child thinks your child have a real gun or something

Sims four really needs to work on their gameplay and give us some cool shit like the dancing on Dad’s toes and playing cops and robbers like they need to ask all their employees what is your favorite childhood memory and what is your favorite memory of a grandparent and add the most popular things
What's stupid is the radial menu got bigger but the animations and what they chain into are not.

I remember that one of the Sims 3 teasers featured an evil Sim taking candy from a toddler 😁 I did not know about most of the interactions in TS3 and 4 as I played TS1 and 2 more.
