Liquify - Liquify (Full Album) The Debut Album of Liquify, which combines many creative influences ranging from the psychedelic mixture of twin guitar solos, an old western feel, and wrapping up with a lengthy Desert/Stoner rock trance. Inspired by bands such as Pink Floyd, Santana, Sleep, The Re-Stoned, and Earthless, Liquify is a one-man project from the United States that strives to bring balance to the Rock. Beginning with Aurora, the dual guitars are introduced along with a steady bass that gradually builds to a climax. Vibrant has a groovy flow that is complimented by the bass riff with the guitar licks as the icing on the cake. The Stars Dance Above Us builds into something greater and has a reminiscent feel about the strangeness of what lies above us. Dust City Blues offers an old western style with a touch of the 70s rock. Desertman leads into a groovy trip and might be something one would expect while driving through the desert on a blazing hot day. Finally, Voyage of the Sun is a lengthy distortion driven journey of the Sun that ascends towards its climax and claims its position as the longest song on the album.

The "Stars dance above us" is the absolutelly highlight of this album, beside all the other stuff :). If you hear this with headphones, you are in very good hands.

I realy like "dust City Blues" but sadly its so short. And the Last Track has some great guitar riffs, perfect ending.
Such a simple methodique. Get into the short melody and rhythm quickly and then rinse and repeat with variations. Never wooly - always clear. So good.

Great find, I just stumbled onto this music. It has a nice Robin Trower sound and feel about it.
Excellent album. Great range of styles in one album. And do I hear shades of Earthless in the last track? They have a song with a similar sound whose title also references the sun (Lost In The Cold Sun). [Edit: I just read the description, and they are indeed inspired by Earthless]

Very cool ! I'm usually not fond of bands who are strictly instrumental, i prefer lyrics, or at the very least, half of the tracks to have some lyrics. But this is one of the few that i will have to make an exception for. These Cats know how to make the instruments tell a story all on their own. 😊👍

i'm admiring his usage of the electronic drums . Great sound all around.
I despise electronic drums. I'm not sure I like the fact that these are electronic drums, either. But I get it. Dealing with drummers is very frustrating unless they're also equally songwriters in their own right (which they never are!). Pile on that the fact that the past 3 years has made everybody afraid of their own shadow... and what are you going to do unless you can afford to live in a place where you can set up and play a live acoustic kit... and of course, how few of us demented and mad artists can do that, let alone wash our own asses, and be able enough to make a good living among exploding inflation and the destruction of all social cohesion and the desolation of the dream of upward mobility and "pursuit of happiness"... So I guess he made a good choice. I really like the muted bass tones he's getting. For electronic drums, he has made these sound as natural as he can. This almost sounds like Khurangbin. Minus the super hot girl doing her hot slither dance while ripping at bass. Bad thoughts. Back to baseball, puppies, ice cream, and Ninja Turtles. Ahhh okay now I'm back.

First part of this album is so intrigating, because there are illusorated C# - D - Dd notes syncopations with small strat and fuzz-amp progressive floats and slumps like in "Vibrant" and "The Stars Dance Above Us", but in second part, there's many confusioned adjectives into garage punk with slowcore in between.

Great, mellow guitar riffing and bass playing. But I also think the drum programming could have been a little more interesting. A little more variety, but I've certainly heard worse.
