  • Pliny (Pline) the Younger is the Roman author who provided us with one of the most accurate description of the Vesuvius eruption, which destroyed Pompeii in autumn of year 79 AD. His uncle, Pliny the Elder, was killed by that eruption. I'm guessing the artwork is him staring at the ash covered ruins, blazing still under a distant, strangely cold sunset. Breathtaking album. I feel immense gratitude to this channel for sharing this work. Safe travels, friends ❤️

    • Perfect explanation ;) we wanted this album to represent Pline's journey, and the events he described. With all the different atmospheres around this story, until the return to the calm of an ancient city devastated but appeased.

    • He also wrote a book called "Naturalis historia" - an encyclopedia which is the largest single work to have survived from the Roman Empire to the modern day. And obviously in this album we have track called like this :)

  • Saved this album in the summer & haven’t really had the right chance to listen to it until now. It’s early February and there’s no snow on the ground, hardly had *any* all winter. *Unheard* of in my state. Genuinely. So anyways, today it’s 54 degrees out and sunny and I’m sitting outside listening to this. Feels strangely right somehow. Thanks for the much needed soul balm 😮‍💨🌿🌿….

  • This album is so freaking amazing… It is calming yet exciting, serene but energetic. This also has some Bruce falconer of DBZ vibes. Funny enough, Historia Naturalis builds up to point where it feels like there was a battle that took place and Goku is ready to use the spirit bomb on you and in my imagination, this takes place at 43:55

  • I love 3 things above all Post related genres. History Manga. On this glorious night I smoke, drink and read Plinivs. I sate all three of my loves upon a common theme, is this not an act of perfection in and of itself? I am sure Gaius Plinius Secundus would agree.
