I've just received these. Can agree with everything you said. Easy plug and play, comfortable and can't really complain about the sound quality. I didnt need it to connect to a phone or anything like that as have a seperate set of headphones.

Awesome video, my wife got me these for Christmas. I had the hyperx cloud 2 wired ones for four years, absolutely love them. If you get silent red keys on your keyboard you won't have an issue with key click noises while streaming and they feel a lot better (personally).

I am so torn between the HyperX Cloud Flight S and the Steelseries Arctis 7 (2019 version)! I am a pretty avid console gamer on PS4, and don't see myself going for an Xbox or PC (pretty much ever). I play (couch) competitively, and would love that extra edge that a dedicated gaming headset with surround sound could give, but the lure of convenience with 3.5mm connectivity boasted by the Arctis is pretty strong. Q - which of these two headsets gives the better surround sound experience on console (PS4)?
The steel series doesn’t have surround sound at all on the 7 with console gaming.....and the hyperx cloud flight s doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack.....so unfortunately you’re screwed FOREVER.................... Just kidding here’s a fantastic solution for you! HyperX cloud 2 wireless has everything your looking for..... you can also check out the Corsair virtuoso and the arctis 7p which is the newer version here....I compare all of them for ya! I would go for the virtuoso or the cloud 2 wireless....but u may need to swap out the earcups on the virtuoso..... The flight s is wireless and doesn’t have an option to connect a 3.5mm cable or Bluetooth so your kinda stuck as I explained in this video

Hey brother, do you know if having the chat mix at 50% and the game volume at 60%, the chat volume at 50% affects the sound in general that is heard a little low, what happens that returns them for that reason they were heard very low but it never occurred to me to lower the chat volume to 0% could you help me with that and if it increased the sound quality. Question: I see that you're not using NGENUITY with the headphones, the software that is recommended to use with this product. I know that there is definitely a difference in audio quality and voice/mic quality when using the software and without using the software. I just wanted to give an honest right out of the box mic test for you guys since that’s what I always do with every headset I test! Hi, I picked up the HyperX cloud flight S. I feel like when I activate the 7.1, the sound becomes really eccho-y and tinny. It actually sounds better with 7.1 turned off. Am I doing something wrong? I've seen nothing but awesome reviews for this headset and I feel like it should be better for 150€. I actually came from using Krom Kyus headset (which were only about 30 euros). Any advice?

For some reason the chat and game buttons don't work on my headset on ps4. When I press the button to all the way to chat I can't hear nothing both the chat and game sound get muted and when I press the button all the way to game I can hear both game sound and chat audio equally loud. Also I wish if there was a way to know if the 7.1 surround sound is on or not

Bro I just bought this headset and I play Rainbow six siege and I can’t hear foot steps at all it’s a crisp sound for voice but I can’t hear game sounds. I also adjusted more to game chat and I still can’t hear footsteps or drones I’m not using the 7.1 surround sound. Please help

So I am wondering what the hype is about. I had a Corsair void pro headset that was $65 in 2018. I thought the charging port was going out on it so I bought the HyperX flight S hoping that a $170 headset would be loads above a $65 headset. So far, I'm not seeing it. After checking, it appears my $65 headset 2 years ago is now around $170. So maybe it was a head of it's time back then. I never did get the 16 hours of battery life they swore it got though. Only about 6. I have spent about 5 hours with this head set in mostly gaming and watching youtube. Here are my issues. With 7.1 off, the headset at 50% volume is really only about 20% volume compared to my void headset. I ran my void at volume level 32 And this on 50 seems half the volume of my cheap headset. In fact in my game, I had to turn up the sounds from 30% to 70%. So maybe this has to do with the game/chat buttons. It was set to in the middle. I will fully admit that I had to lower the game volume with my previous headset to that low of a level so I could hear voice chat properly. This one with game volume increased to almost the level it was with the void headset, the chat is much more clear. If I turn on the 7.1 the volume actually increases a fair amount. It also adds a more spacial sound. More echo, more reverb, about the same as my void 7.1 when I used it. The clamping force is actually much tighter than my void headset. Tight enough that it keeps me aware of it. That may go away with time as I get used to it but it's kinda annoying right now. This thing has a battery built in. Why can't it keep it's settings when I turn it off and back on? That's so annoying that I have to go back and restart 7.1 every time I turn it off and back on. A little disappointed in the wireless signal. My void was Bluetooth and would lose connection as I'm walking around the house. I was really hoping that this could handle 1500sq feet of a house. It doesn't. It suffers drop out issues in a few places In my house. I'm not going to put much disappointment in that though. My house was built around 1910. So it's got chicken wire in the walls and actual plaster, not sheetrock. Signal is an issue in this house with many things. It does do a little better than the Bluetooth but not by much. The mic is an issue. I use voice attack with a lot of my gaming. I noticed voice attack was having real issues understanding what I was saying. I tried playing with different settings to no avail. If I get the mic within an inch of my mouth (actually curving it to in front of my face), then voice attack starts understanding what I'm saying. And of course it's a very flexible microphone so it moves at the slightest bump when you sit it down and Im going to have to remember to readjust it every single time I put it on. Again, just annoying but for the price point it really shouldn't be annoying. I actually believe my void microphone sounds better than this microphone. It's like there is no bass in my voice at all. Battery life. This is where it eats up my void and spits it out for lunch. I only get about 5-6 hours of playtime before it starts complaining about being low and quits shortly afterwards. This thing when I pulled it out of the box had 74% charge. I used it for about 5 hours at it's default 50% volume and I used 4% battery. That is freaking amazing. My biggest issue I guess isn't so much the headset but more the fact that there are very little settings you can change. I really Would like to see an EQ in it's software to be able to fix a lot of my gripes. For a gaming headset, it really is hugely lacking in the software department. I agree 100% software would be a key fix here in most of those issues! I didn’t notice any drop off for myself whatsoever in terms of signal where I used them in a 2 story studio.......I’ll have to look at the link and adjust it again but depending on where your from it may just be out of stock there🤷🏻♂️

Not as much as you’d like.....the only noise cancelling it offers is for the microphone when your talking it blocks out stuff around you

This headset is a real wireless. No cable is needed to use. Qi charging is amazing. Charging cables and charging inputs are get broken in couple years.
Yes!!! It just sucks you can’t connect via Bluetooth and use it as a wireless headset for music on your phone.....or connect it via a 3.5mm audio jack🙁
The only thing that let's this down is the lack of customisation for sound profiles and the Ngenuity software suite is a huge let down. Why there is no Eq custom sliders etc is unforgivable imo. 8/10 from me could have been 10!
