My guess is you lose control of Spider-man and the game has him free fall off screen as the cutscene is playing. Then he died of fall damage right before his model was teleported to land on the pole. That’s my guess on the glitch/bug.

probably just some kind of problem with the game resetting some values when triggering the event. i bet it accidentally sends the health value to the negative for a brief moment or something similar
