  • Great video! Which model of the Grim Reaper was tested? I have had great success with the Micro Hades Pro 100grain heads. The NAP's arrow flight was corkscrewing during the flight test! Trying out the SEVR 1.75 this whitetail season.

  • Don’t hesitate for one second to use the Grims. I have no experience with them in elk or moose but in deer they have never disappointed. I have about 15 deer kills with them and everyone has died within 50 yards and 5-6 seconds. Last mule deer buck was hard quartering away, entered between back 2 ribs and passed through lengthwise out opposite in front shoulder at 42 yards. Huge blood trails. I have never not had a pass through with one. The slogan watchem drop, is true. Love them

  • I lost a big whitetail deer last year on a not so great shot with Killzone! Watched him bed… and get stood up by another buck locking up with him. He walked across a bean field 250 yards bleeding hard, head down bad shape. He layed overnight and we never found him in a 250acre corn field! Other deer in past fell in sight with Killzone…. Grim reaper try this year but think the Killzone was not issue as much as my bad shot. 8 inches penetration on shoulder deflection!

    • Quartered too… he was making a scrape at 35 yards and turned towards me as shot was breaking… the killzone opens them up for sure but would never try on an elk no matter the setup…. Trying out the deadmeats and thorn broadheads currently for possible elk?

  • I shot sevr for elk this year… the elk died but not much of a blood trail. The biggest problem I see with it once the blade hits something on one side the blade locks and doesn’t shift back to both blades … big down fall you lose half you cutting diameter on contact with bone. Convinced me to go back to fixed blade. Just and observation from my experience…

  • So, I have taken many whitetails with many different broadheads, and I have tried all of the ones tested and ones not tested, I keep going back to one that always comes out on top for actual hunting, the swhacker 2 inch #207. WHY? One simple and very important reason, PASS THROUGH. It provides a great cut, but it gives a 2-inch exit. This is not a great video. Why a pass through in true hunting situation? Two holes more blood. Also, I have found in TRUE hunting and killing, three blades do not offer the best penetration. Also, I would recommend the Dead Ringer Super Extreme broadhead, again a 2 blade. Another great broadhead that has always provided a pass through. Now this is just my opinion, but after 33 years of hunting and killing whitetails with fixed and mechanical heads, I strongly recommend staying away from three or four blade mechanicals and stay with 2 blade. And many of my friends that strictly bow hunt have always gone back to the swhacker 207 or the Levi Morgan 2 blade. Again, why? years of it is most reliable penetrating and consistent pass through broadhead and killing head. These test are not real life. Reply @Ndprodution15 @Ndprodution15 3 months ago
