Introducing DJI Dock 2, the next step in remote drone technology.
Dock 2 is a drone-in-a-box unit that allows you to operate drones remotely. It is 70% smaller in size and weight than its predecessor, enabling operators to transport the unit to previously impossible-to-reach locations. Dock 2 is equipped with the Matrice 3D or Matrice 3TD, both of which have high-level operational cameras ideal for emergency responders, construction management, surveying, and asset inspection.
The Dock 2's setup is extremely fast and straightforward, allowing your drone to take off from its landing pad within 45 seconds. It can also be managed remotely via FlightHub 2, a cutting-edge feature that provides a complete overview of your drone's mission and Dock 2's location. This advanced technology allows for efficient and effective drone operations, enhancing your productivity and control.
Dock 2 is a revolutionary advancement for drone operators worldwide. At DJI, we are committed to advancing drone technology by enhancing our products and optimizing their functionality for enterprises worldwide.

    • @@ElijahChikondi A typical police helicopter costs upwards of 10 million dollars, approximately 1000$ per hour in the air, moreover you have to include the cost of the pilot(s), ground crew, maintenance crew, facilities and facilities crew more. If you're not concerned about transport, only reconnaissance, then a distributed drone solution is a no-brainer. You could cover the whole of Greater London with around 7 of these docks (including overlap between docking zones), and you could of course nest them together to increase the air time if you fly them sequentially, or you could increase the number of drones in the air if you need to quickly gather reconasance. It would not surprise me if you could purchase 100 of these drones for less than the price of a single police helicopter, and almost none of the upkeep costs. The much more likely scenario is of course that technology like this will be used for mass-survailence.

Great flight time, great photography and great range. I don't live in the US but in Canada and we don't have the same restrictions and requirements those of the US do. Planning on putting both up in the air high enough to try and capture the leading edge of the shadow from the the solar eclipse as it covers the landscape while approaching my home in the rural area of southern Ontario. Yes, I'm lucky enough to have my home in the path of totality and something I never thought would ever happen. Should make for a good KZhead video if it works out. Hoping the skies are clear on April 8th. Wish me luck on the weather. 🤞

    • Yea, because a drone flying above you is very sneaky. Mass surveillance is done by stationairy cameras, not drones. Drones are used for searching for people who got lost, injured, etc. inspecting infrastructure, buildings etc.

      @TheEsseboy@TheEsseboyАй бұрын
    • @@TheEsseboyYou won't notice a modern drone flying 150m above you. They got quiet and at best you'd see a small grey dot in the sky, if you knew it was there.

      @ThaRealKalimpa@ThaRealKalimpaАй бұрын
    • @@ThaRealKalimpa That totally depends on what type of drone it is, I work with heavy inspection drones inspecting Turbines, and you definitely hear it even 200+ meters up in the sky, especially when moving. Mass surveillance is done by stationary cameras, a drone needs to recharge too often, can't get good footage in rain ☔ and is very obvious with it's blinking lights and sound Profile.
