Is It Possible To Beat DmC: Devil May Cry And Still Get A Refund?
I set myself a new SpeedRun challenge after a year of not running any game. What better game to choose than one of the best action games of all time DmC Devil May Cry the reboot. I've got to beat this game in 2 hours if i want to procure a Steam Refund. I've never attempted this before, here goes nothing....

I still hope this game gets a parallel universe sequel. When you think about it, it kinda fits the canon probably happening a year before DMC3. Still, this game was great.

At least DMC5 lifted a few things out of this game like the enemy introductions, style announcer, training mode, lack of backtracking levels, and certain enemies that are very similar to the reboot. Just wish they could have included some of the Combichrist tracks on there as well, those were the tits.

Possibly the best accompompying soundtrack to a video game. Combichrist knocked it out of the park for the tone. I enjoyed it, even as a fan of the series. It was a different take in a modern way and the experience was fun! Would have loved atleast a sequel

I love the world and the characters, that dystopian post-grunge style. It has great mechanics and incredible visuals. I am sure that if it were called differently and I would give each character different names, people would not have hated it as much as at the time. If that had been the case, we would be talking about the beginning of a franchise and not the biggest failure of the series.

I’d like to see DMC 4 but with Lady and Trish beaten in 2 hours.
It’s kind of crazy to think that with sheer brute force and will, you can beat THE ENTIREEE SERIES in less than 15 hours. For a game series that has easily gotten hundreds of hours out of me, someone can just tear through them in a weekend 🤣 very crazy actually!!

Ahh the DmC devil may cry conundrum, I don't dislike the game per-se but I don't classify it in the devil may cry arena, the only time it ever comes close to devil may cry is the Dante, Vergil fight at the end
I recently finally got to play it, and honestly not that bad besides the color coded enemies but from what I know the ps4 version fixed it, real stupid it never came out on pc but oh well

If we stick to Capcom, can you maybe try to do a 2hours speedrun of Dragon's Dogma (without DLC)? Scoreboard says that any% under 2 hours is more than doable with almost every entry being between 1h and 1h40m

I really liked DMC, not the characters, but oh god the level design was fantastic! Far superior to DMC 5 with everything just being spikey or slimey after you enter the tree. And DMC was acutally pretty good on mouse and keyboard.
