I didn't know this game had co op until actually watching these types of videos and honestly that's a great way to implement the co op.
only like 2-3 stages, but there is a mod that lets you play coop in all stages
From what I remember you actually are only playing with a clone of another player. Perhaps they moves they made are recorded and played back but I have suspicions it's all smoke and mirrors and they are just an ai with a player name. I say this because I played through one storyline and later while playing another storyline I ended up in a co-op battle with my own username controlling the second player. I watched the other version of me and he didn't look like he had my playstyle or used any of the combos I frequently use. I literally was playing and saw the "Devil May Cry Featuring H2D_Fives and that playername over my "Co-op partner"
@@h2dfives799 maybe the ones with your name are place holders. But it's impossible that someone is a clone because if they are, why are we taunting each other in an enemie free place?

this is honestly some of the best dmc content on youtube, so much effort and thought put into it, i never would've thought i'd care so much about one of v's taunts causing him to rotate but now i do because of this challenge. plus it's just hilarious watching the characters act like bots and having dante spamming styles like the meme being useful

Same here! When I did my playthrough with Vergil, I saw that he takes a large step back in his normal judgment cut, so I thought "Can you beat DMC5 with only judgment cut movements (+ jumping)?"

Question tho, I might misremembered this but I'm pretty sure you can use upward slash with tomboy just by locking on + attack even without movement input. Any reason why you didn't use it?
That may or may not be true and I honestly didnt think about that haha. If I ended up getting stumped at any point I may have experimented more with it but tbh the tools I discovered at the very start were all I needed for nero lol

Before the video I was thinking of the rules and since the title is only not being able to walk I thought u cannot do any input that cause the walking and running animation but this is more of "without using the left stick" challenge

Only a few minutes into the video but you can toggle Auto Mode by pressing in one of the analog sticks. I know this because I got screwed out of my S rank.
