2023 Bronco Raptor Review // Thomas Gets Stuck, James Breaks It

2022 ж. 19 Мау.
1 256 610 Рет қаралды

The 2022 Bronco Raptor ($102,190 starting in Canada, $70,095 starting in the US) is a brutish and obscenely wide off-road machine. It’s powered by a 418 hp twin-turbo V6 and comes standard with 37 inch tires and fox dampers. It’s also packaged with some sturdy bash plates and a much needed locking differential. The Bronco seems prepared for some desert offroading, but are Thomas and James? Watch as they struggle to stay properly hydrated while navigating the toughest terrain they have ever encountered. We hope you enjoy the episode! Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE!

    • I agree. It’s not always just about the vehicle cost, though. If there are issues or corners cut or even something filmed/presented in a certain way, it can make a car look bad and have some real negative press effects. Kudos on them for building a good rig and taking the risk to let it show its chops.

I am a fellow Canadian and a Wrangler owner, and this video made me jealous. The only reason I went for a Wrangler over a Bronco was the PHEV option; with gas prices in British Columbia hovering around 2.20L, it just makes sense for my daily use if only Ford did the same. Love this vehicle, and you guys are doing a fantastic job thanks for bringing me joy during my morning coffee.

  • Ok wow the Bronco Raptor looks just way too cool. Of course I want one as a toy; but it’s definitely overkill for me lol. Many of the Anza Borrego off road trails don’t need this capability; but I HAVE seen purpose-built rock crawlers pass me and go further into the dessert to all the cool spots I haven’t had a chance to explore. Hmmmmmmmmmm… I just LOVE that a car manufacturer came out with a purpose-build machine like this; how we can now just buy one straight from the factory without any modifications. Usually many vehicles I see out in the dessert are heavily modified where people spent several 10-G’s to make their own vehicles capable. To have one ready the day you buy it w/o spending that extra coin to do what it needs to do is just too cool and I’m so happy it exists. Fucking bravo Ford.

  • This could be a great option for overlanders with the exception of the fuel economy. There should be options for the upgraded chassis, but with the more economical engine or hopefully a tuner will be able to make a selectable economy tune for this engine, but it's debatable how much it will add.
