TOAD TOWN'S IN TROUBLE
Mario and Luigi receive an invitation from Princess Peach to attend an origami festival and excitedly hurry to Toad Town…but something’s amiss. After investigating the eerily empty town, the duo finds a fearsome (and folded) Princess Peach-she’s been turned into origami by King Olly, self-proclaimed ruler of the Origami Kingdom! With five giant streamers under his control, King Olly binds Princess Peach’s Castle and transports it to a distant mountain as part of his plan to re-fold the world.
To take on these folded fiends, Mario will have to learn some new fighting skills. Face off with the Folded Soldiers in ring-based battles where you strategically line up enemies to maximize damage. Out of battle, Mario can use the arm-extending 1,000-Fold Arms ability in specific spots to interact with the landscape to pull, peel, hit, and more! Using the unique properties of paper, help Mario unfold new paths, explore vast environments, unlock the secret of an ancient ruin, brave the raging rapids, step out on stage, visit a string of islands, appear on a quiz show, and even participate in a mid-air battle!

I agree with everything that Zack said in the credits. It’s a sincerely charming game, and everything is a joy to explore. The only way I can see people being dissatisfied with this game is that it’s unlike the other Paper Mario games like TTYD, but I think that’s just something people just need to get over.
I love this game, but the overworld battles get really tedious sometimes because it's always the same set of puzzles

I despised King Olly so badly because I “knew” he was an unredeemable villain. After seeing him getting defeated three times, I was all like, “YES! TO OBLIVION WITH THE ORIGAMI KING!!” Even as he and Olivia began to talk to each other afterward, I kept saying, “No, Olivia! Don’t fall for it!” But when Olivia read the message written on Olly, my heart broke. He finally realized he made mountains out of mole hills and laughed as his life deteriorated. Despite his unforgivable deeds, I don’t think he deserved to go the way he did.
The fact that Olivia could have included “except for me” in the 1000 crane wish and she would still be alive.
I think she didn’t because she wanted to be with her brother. She knew she wouldn’t see him on this side of death, and that’s what she wanted most.
She wanted to be with Bobby.

It was because she wished to reverse all of Olly’s folding, but the Craftsman said that Olly folded her, so she basically committed suicide.

For a hard challenge if you are finished with the game, refight the scissors in the battle lab and break the cover immediately (with 1,000 fold arms if you like) and use the regular hammer only. It’s honestly pretty hard, when you break the cover I don’t believe you get the vellumental magic circle ever again.

Yes Olivia was absolutely adorable. She was so funny and cheerful and it was so sad when she wished herself away to destroy Olly's work.

2:30 One small detail I would've added: The "scribble" feels like an unhealing wound on his chest. That would put his scheme into perspective, wouldn't it? It's not just sacrilege, it's a source of pain he would never be rid of, and can only ignore with acts of vengeance and dreams of his own perfect world. _And_ he'd be much less inclined to read it himself.
This ending is really sad, at least Olivia could see Olly and Bobby in the afterlife. 😢

It’s like link from the Zelda games they don’t talk
theory?: he's non-verbal, but when there are choices, he uses cards to communicate, or if there are different choices not listed on his words listed (such as the cafe scenes), he points to the options. Nintendo just doesn't show it.

The ending just shows that the developers really devoted dedication and love to the series even though their creativity was limited by Nintendo.

What a game. To me, paper Mario lost its charm back in 2012. I did not like sticker star. Color splash was ok, but not amazing. But I swear, this game just hit it off for me, it felt like a breath of fresh air. It had a story, detail, and these nooks and cranny that made it great. This game is a solid 8/10 for me. Great series.
It felt like a game with two plots. One of trying to save the world, and one of Mario (And the player) having to confront the fact that the enemies they destroy are actual people with lives, hopes, and dreams. Just the bowser dialogue on its own was mind blowing in its implications! And I think that really speaks to how much love was poured into the creation of this game. This game didn’t need to be about two long standing enemies coming together and learning to work together, but they put in the work to make it that.

I personally think this game is a masterpiece, the characters, the story, the musics, and the overall visual design and creativity. The only thing that completely ruins it is the difficulty, this game is so aggressively easy it's infuriating. The gameplay itself, especially the boss fight can be challenging but all enemies deal so little damages, and right after you took any damages the game hold your hand by immediately giving you a full restore, it's actually hard to lose the game even if you want to, and they give you too much time during your turn it ruins the intensity.
They also give the answer to easy puzzles if you fail even once.
You are amazing Scott we love how you play the games so amazing!!! Thank you we love it

Um. Am I missing something? I got 100% completion and the "secret ending" disappointed me so much. Love this game though but man all that work to unlock the alternate ending, it was a huge let down for me.
