This is true. I have RA which is another autoimmune disease and I have lost 20 lbs - mostly muscle mass bc our bodies are constantly at war
unfortunately it's because of her lupus, it makes her weight fluctuate crazy fast and especially noticeable for her face when her lupus flares up :(((
