Sean, the Original SCREAM is MY FAV Horror Film Of All Time, too dude 😎😎!!!
My List 1. Scream (1996) 2. Scream 5 (2022) 3. Scream 4 (2011) 4. Scream 3 (2000) 5. Scream 2 (1997)
13:38 And I watched it when I’m a freshman in high school
Awesome ranking, I'd probably go: 1. Scream (1996) 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 2 4. Scream 5 5. Scream 3 But they're all great slashers really
Same exact list for me
perfect list from me too
damn this is my raking too
Never watched 3 but here's mine: 1. Scream 2. Scream 2 3. Scream 5 4. Scream 4
Omg same ranking
I always love how much he loves movies he gets as hyped as me when I learn something cool will come out. Thank you Mr. Chandler for making something for me/us too look forward too.
Appreciate it
There is no need to appreciate me Mr. Chandler I should appreciate you for responding to me and for making awesome videos.
I’m a massive movie fan as well. I do lots of movie content on my channel. I just ranked the Scream movies too. Check it out and enjoy.
Hahaha he is one of the few guys who's lengthy videos feels never boring. Jam packed with all info and his opinions are fascinating
In a world where the Terminator, Alien, Predator, Star Wars, and so many other franchises are all dead and gone, it is SHOCKING to see that the Scream franchise is on its fifth movie and still going strong. Seriously. It’s mind-boggling.
6th also coming out
The original scream is my favorite horror movie of all time. It makes fun of the genre, yet is still original and has a great plot. I used to not like the 2nd, but it's grown on me as a great sequel.
Checkout my ranking video on my channel.
The 2nd is the best sequel for me. Unfortunately, the 1st is the only one that works (for me) as a scary movie and satire at the same time. The sequels all seem more like Scary Movie entries than Scream movies. That may be the point, but the others have killer reveals that aren't properly set up in a way to be more than silly.
I love seeing the bloopers in the video, makes it seem more organic
I'm glad they're appreciated. They're just embarrassing and frustrating for me. Haha
1. Scream (1996) 2. Scream 4 3. Scream (2022) 4. Scream 2 5. Scream 3 I honestly think scream 4 is criminally underrated and was truly ahead of it’s time. They truly tricked us into thinking that Jill would be the new Sydney and would carry on the legacy. Scream 2022 was great and a very needed film for the franchise to get the refresher it needed although I could do without them deaging billy loomis. Scream 2 and scream 3 were okay nothing spectacular besides a copy and paste in a college and on a movie set.
5. Scream 3 4. Scream 5 3. Scream 4 2. Scream 2 1. Scream The first one is by far my favorite! After the mostly terrible later sequels of the mainstay horror franchises in the late 80s/early 90s, finally something fresh, original and downright outstanding came along. 2, 4, and 5 are very close for me and could change even in the near future. Like you said if Scream 3 is the worst of them, you are doing damn good as a franchise.
Scream 3 is so underrated! I do not understand People Who hate this movie. Scream 3 is better than 2 for me.
5. Scream 3-If this is your weakest movie, then you're doing pretty well 4. Scream 4-Didn't 100% live up to the potential 3. Scream 2022-A very enjoyable 21st century slasher film 2. Scream 2-A great sequel to the original 1. Scream-One of my favorite horror movies and movies of all time
That was list.
You and me have the exact same ranking
Check out my ranking of the Scream movies on my channel.
basically just the same thoughts as Sean for Scream 3
Same list
My ranking is 1. Scream 2 2. Scream ( Saw Scary movie a million times before I saw this, so knew almost the whole movie pretty much bc of that) 3. Scream 4 4. Scream 5 5. Scream 3 ( still better then a lot of the Michael , Jason , Freddy movies
I love all of the Scream films tbh even 3 but my ranking is.. 5) Scream 3 4) Scream (2022) 3) Scream 2 2) Scream 4 1) Scream (1996)
I have lots of Scream videos on my channel. Checkout and enjoy my horror fan.
1 Scream 2 Scream 3 3 Scream 5 4 Scream 4 5 Scream 2
Even though people don’t like 3 much I still enjoyed it but I fully get everyone’s frustration with it 1. Scream (favourite horror so it has to) 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 5 4. Scream 2 5. Scream 3
My exact ranking, love this.
I have just seen Scream 2022 today, and I loveed it, this is my ranking: 5. Scream 3: 7/10, was the first Scream movie I saw when I was a kid, so is special for me but obviously it have its problems 4. Scream 2: 8/10, a very good movie with some of the best scenes in the franchise but the end and some moments are stupid or cringy 3. Scream 2022: 8.5/10, amazing, they managed to do an amazing Scream movie without Wes, anyway the other two are better made in my opinion 2. Scream 4: 9/10, amazing sequel, everything was on point and Jill was soo good, love her sooo much 1. Scream 1996: 10/10, the best slasher in movie history. Thats all
It was a great movie. You would probably like my review of it on my channel. I’m a big Scream fan just like you.
5. Scream 3: A solid watch where I wish there were more livable people to watch aside from Mark Kincaid the guy from Grey's Anatomy and Kirby. Liked the opening with Cotton to start coming full circle. The premise of Scream 3 set in Stab 3 and the meta commentary of the past coming back around to tie the three films together has a good hook but never fully rises above it. One underrated moment they do have however which I quite love is seeing Sidney reminisce on the death of her mother in her reconstructed room (which in context was designed by the director who did the killing) which as a moment is quite clever and emotionally satisfying. 4. Scream 4: A bit of a mixed one for me though I like it more than the third. The commentary on remakes being overshadowed by the originals I thought worked quite well into the story. Having the killer seeming to succeed at their goal is quite a good twist on the formula and pans out narratively. Just wished smoother moments were a bit better written. Thought that most of the police moments when close to Ghostface felt underwritten aside from the double kill moment. Also the motivations of Charlie were just frustratingly dumb and made him psychotic in a less reasonable matter compared to Stu or Mickey. 3. Scream 2: A strong sequel that ups the ante in almost all the best ways. Many of the scenes worked for me, including the girls getting out of the car, the sequel discussion, and Derek singing to her with Mickey clapping along in his black killer boots. Just wished the final reveal of the second killer was better built up to and more emotionally satisfying, with the mother of Billy maybe given more development. 2. Scream 5: Quite surprised with how well executed everything was for me! The requel discussion was great, balancing out the debate with a positive fan in Randy's niece and toxic fans in the killers. The emotional kill really hurt to watch, and many other kills did including Judy and Wes (loved that whole scene). The ending didn't have the strongest emotional punch, as I personally saw the killers coming, and wished they did a better job of writing a key scene and that character's decisions. Also wished there was a bit more satisfying payoff to Sam being the daughter of a serial killer. 1. Scream: Great classic horror film! Love all the key characters here, the interactions and planting the seeds of the ending worked amazingly. Standout scene for me is the scene between Randy, Stu, and Billy, where everything can be spelled out to us with us still being able to doubt it with how they've set up all the pieces.
1. Scream 2. Scream 5 3. Scream 4 4. Scream 3 5. Scream 2 I really like all of them. Honestly don’t think there’s a weak link in this franchise.
completely agree
This is it chief
I thought I was the only one who thought 2 was the worst. It's a good movie but something about it was always off to me. Only reason I think 3 is better is the third act is just awesome.
Billy and stu will always be my favorite killer
Would you like to see a video on my channel ranking all the Scream killers?
Been waiting for this video lol
Me too! Given how much I love this franchise, I'm very happy to have a new reason to watch and discuss the films!
You should asked for it on my channel. I take all requests over there. So definitely checkout my ranking video over there.
Here my ranking 5 scream 3 4 scream 2 3 scream 4 2 scream 5 1 scream 1996
(Spoilers for Scream 5) I think one of the most funniest and most annoying thing in these movies is Dewey’s and Gale’s relationship. 1996. They got together and we assumed they were dating after 1997. Broke up but got back together 2001. Broke up again and at the end of the movie Dewey proposed and they got married 2011. Were married throughout the whole movie 2022. Divorced and Dewey died :(
Ironic that it happened in real life too except for the death thing
Dewey's death is probably the most sad moment in all horror movies
Love this franchise. Btw you should rank all of the killers. 1: Scream (10/10) 2: Scream 5 (8.5/10) 3: Scream 4 (7.5/10) 4: Scream 2 (7/10) 5: Scream 3 (5/10)
Agree with this list
Would you like me to rank all the Scream killers on my movie review and ranking channel?
Even though the Scream franchise isn't in my top five favorite horror franchises it is one of the most consistent horror franchise around. My favorite Scream move is Scream 2. Another great ranking video and breakdown Sean.
I do lots of ranking videos on my channel too!!
@@megamikethemovieman Ok I will have to check it out.
4. Scream 3 3. Scream 4 & 5 2. Scream 2 1. Scream
5. Scream 3 4. Scream 4 3. Scream 5 2. Scream 1. Scream 2 I put 2 as my top because of all the reasons Sean said. In my mind it’s not just the best horror movie sequel ever, but maybe the best sequel ever. The stakes were higher, the set pieces were maybe even scarier than the first and the emotions hit deeper. As close to flawless as a horror movie can be.
Finally. Someone loves Scream 2 as much as I do. 👏🏾
Scream 1&2 is best
Yeah i struggle between 2,4 and 5 but i have to go 5) scream 3, i dont like the new voice changer and goofines, 4) gotta go with scream 2 cuz even theres 2 best scenes the car scene and the chase of gale, it doesnt get me as excited as others. 3) scream 2022, its just pure gold, only flaw is the female killer cuz she's annoying asf and stop being intimitating soon as she reveal to be the killer, she just starts panock and cry when gale got the upper hand. 2) scre4m! Its just genius to make new final girl the killer, and only ghost face that i didnt guess how it is till she takes the mask off. 9/10 amd real close to me for #1) scream 1996. Its just the billy loomises present, facial expressions and the twist that he "dies" and you go like "ok who tf is the killer" and then stu who makes me laugh everytime and the best line "surprise sidney". Just a masterpiece of a franchise and my fav movie of all time.
REMEMBER scream 5 confirmed Kirby surviving so it’s automatically great
My list is exactly the same! I’m glad Scream 5 was as good as it was
Nice video and great list! In terms of my order, I think you've got it just about spot on. I could argue to swap 2 and 5 but all the others are in the right spot. They're all great slashers though.
Sean, great video. You should rank all the ghostfaces next
11:41-11:47 brilliantly edited! I haven’t laughed this hard in a while. 😂
Your the only one pointing that out, was confused on why everyone Ignored it 😭
@@Bryan2k04 I always make sure to appreciate the little things
I like the TV screen in the background displaying something related to what you're talking about. It's a nice touch.
It is him
Awesome list man! Scream is easily the most consistent and good horror franchise of all time. Here would be my list: 5. Scream 3 6.5/10 4. Scream 2 8.5/10 3. Scream 4 8.5/10 2. Scream 9/10 1. Scream 10/10 Best horror movie ever imo.
If your a big Scream fan you will like my channel. Lots of Scream videos!! Enjoy
which Scream is 1.? Scream 2022 or Scream 1?
@@ysmdylan3023 It's a mystery! 🤣
@YSM Dylan kidding, I though I finished typing lol. Scream 2022 #2, OG #1
Great list!
My ranking (least favorite to most favorite - I don't think any film in this franchise is bad): 3, 5, 4, 2, 1
Your ranking of the Scream films match mine exactly!
Great video Sean! The first video I saw in your channel was the Jaws ranking! amazing My Scream ranking: 5. Scream 3 4. Scream 2 3. Scream 4 2. Scream (2022) 1. Scream
I feel like I’m the only one who loved scream 3 1. Scream 2. Scream 5 3. Scream 3 4. Scream 2 5. Scream 4 Mind y’all I’ve only seen each once and my first time watching them was 3 months ago
Hey i loved Scream 3!
You can love it, but one of them has to be the weakest link.
@@shwonsh yup and scream 4 is by far the weakest scream 3 gets unnecessarily hated on when it’s a lot better than everyone makes it out to be (although I admit the scene when the house blows up was dumb)
I loved scream 3 and I agree with your rank
Yay somebody who also thinks Scream 3 ain't that damn bad. Scream 4 is good but the twist and the final act is so trashy.
The 1st Scream is a Unicorn, it’ll be hard to match, but with focus, great direction, good casting & clever writing I think we can get close or on the same level. I would love to see a fan film honestly!
Hey man, if you've not seen the new Scream, it basically is a fan film! The directors have said several times they're huge fans of the original and were like fanboys on set and honestly, that's what convinced me to see it and I really enjoyed it a lot!
1. Scream 1996 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 2022 4. Scream 3 5. Scream 2 6. Scream TV Series
Totally agree with your ranking!
I would of loved to see Kevin's original script for scream 3, the film went through so many changes it turned into a different movie.
Fun fact: Kirby is ALIVE
Just like my movie review channel! Lol
Kirby from Scream 4 is awesome and so pretty, she’s a good character
I really like them all and wouldn’t say there’s a bad movie in the franchise. 1. Scream 1 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 3 4. Scream 5 5. Scream 2
4 was so good! I freaking love the scene of the killer “covering” their tracks
@@kingbaco1233 Exactly. I don’t understand why so many people sleep on 4.
My personal list: 5: Scream 3 4: Scream 4 3: Scream (2022) 2: Scream 2 1: Scream
I love all of them. It's my top 3 favorite horror franchise next to Nightmare on elm street and Evil dead. 1. Scream 1996 (10/10) 2. Scream 2 (9/10) 3. Scream 2022 (8/10) 4. Scream 4 (8/10) 5. Scream 3 (7/10)
Personal Scream Ranking 1. Scream 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 3 4. Scream 5 5. Scream 2 Although to be honest all 5 movies are pretty good.
The first is probably top 30 all time for me.
My ranking is: 5. Scream 3 (5/10, still watchable, just could have been better) 4. Scream 2 (7/10, good, just not great) 3. Scream 2021 (8/10, holds up to the legacy very well) 2. Scream 4 (8/10, love this one. Super bloody, and super great) 1. Scream (10/10, it's the original, of course it would be 1)
This is my exact list.
@@johnblack3204 Noice. Nice to meet somebody who also loves Scream 4
@@gunnarthedude8205 This is my ranking as well.
@@Germaniac77 also very noice
@@patrick13183 very, very noice
Scream 1&2 is best
Those are really good ones. See where they rank on my list in my video over on my channel!!
Great list! The new Scream was good but not as good as the original. The very first Scream is my favourite, it’s such a classic and it started it all. And I love all the other Screams too, I don’t think I have a least favourite for the Scream movies. They’re all good especially the first one. The opening scene with Drew Barrymore is still one of my favourite horror opening scenes ever, that death is pretty sad. The saddest Scream death in my opinion though is definitely the one from the newest Scream
Glad to see you back Sean! 😎. Can we get a Jackass Film Ranking Soon? 😎🤣😎🤣
5 was perfect for me🔥 Captured the spirit of the original whilst having its own identity.
Usually I have a few disagreements when I watch one of your videos, but I 100% agree with your ranking and what you said. I love the franchise and most movies in it. Scream 3 has its problems but it’s still solid entertaining movie. Scream 2 is a great sequel that raises the stakes. Scream 5 does the original justice and hurts to watch while doing everything in the right way. And Scream is a classic that’s genius can’t be forgotten
Let me know if you disagree with my Scream rankings on my channel? I trust your opinion.
This was my Most anticipated Sean Chandler video of the year.
Scream is the most consistent horror franchise to date I love all of them my ranking 5. Scream 2 4. Scream 3 3. Scream 4 2. Scream 5 1. Scream
Finally someone who has a good list
2 at 5th? Interesting. I actually feel it’s objectively the best of the series. Probably why it’s the most critically acclaimed, but I love the honesty! Interesting list my man!
@@AdamAdam-md4mi I agree. Scream 2 should definitely be higher than 3 and 4.
Thanks for the spoiler! 🤙🏼
Heck yeah Sean! Been waiting for this list 🤩
1: Scream (1996) 2: Scream 2 3: Scream (2022) 4: Scream 3 5: Scream 4 6: Scream: The Tv series
As long as my fav scream 4 is in top 3 of any list I'm happy with that, jill as the ghost face reveal shock the younger me back then that i had trust issues after watching that film lol , plus jill was the smartest ghostface of all nearly get away with all her killings
Scream 3 is trying to be New Nightmare-ish. The whole voice changer and Gale checking Romans pulse and him being alive are things I can’t get over.
I love all 5 of these movies nearly equally. They’ve been a part of my life for 21 years and I’m so happy they’ve all been consistent in quality and we’re still getting more! My ranking is Scream 2 > Scream > Scream 4 > Scream 5 > Scream 3
Scream 2022 was really good finally watched it last night almost cried in the middle part
Just did my first SCREAM Marathon in years and this one included SCREAM 2022. Here’s how I rank them from the worst to the best. 5. SCREAM 3 4. SCREAM 2022 3. SCREAM 2 2. SCREAM 4 1. SCREAM
I keep sayin this.. too easy to pick out the killer in the final film
litterly this is my exact thoughts. 100% agree
My Scream Ranking In my opinion: 1. Scream 2. Scream 2 3. Scream 5 4. Scream 4 5. Scream 3 6. Scream Tv Series
the new scream got me hyped af when i watched it
5. Scream 3. Weakest one and a bad movie but fun while watching the the movies back to back. 4. Scream 2022. The middle 3 are interchangeable but I love this one but its still a solid film Dewey was awesome in this one. 3. Scream 2. Solid sequel and Timothy Oliphant was a great villain but Billy's mom felt a little forced. 2. Scream 4. I thought Emma Robert's was the second best villain and there plan was great and seeing the return of proper kills was also great. 1. Scream. It just speaks for itself.
5) Scream 3 C+ 4) Scream 4 B+ 3) Scream 5 A- 2) Scream 2 A 1) Scream A+
Great List 5. Scream 3 (worst film in this franchise, not to shabby) 4. Scream 4. (Such and awesome underrated sequal) 3. Scream 5 (Enjoyed this one a lot and was fun) 2. Scream 2 (This was the first film I was in this franchise and loved it ever since 1. Scream (classic of the genre)
Scream franchise doesn’t have a bad movie in it. Scream 2 is my fav though. I think scream 3 is underrated. My ranking is: 5. Scream 4 (not bad ) 4. Scream 3 (this movie doesn’t deserve the hate) 3. Scream 2022 (this is the movie scream 4 was aiming to be but this one did it better) 2. Scream 1 (one of the best slashers of all time 1. Scream 2 ( one of the greatest sequels ever made my favorite killers and story)
Switch scream 4 and 3 and this is my exact list. Awesome list man! Scream 2 is objectively the best I feel. Love the scream 2 love!
My exact same rankings.
5. Scream 3 (7/10) - solid sequel, not near as bad as people claim it to be 4. Scream 5 (8/10) - lived up to my expectations and i'm looking forward to the franchise's future! 3. Scream 4 (8/10) - what a twist, the third act is one of the franchise's best scenes! 2. Scream 2 (8.5/10) - i could do without the singing scene tbh 😂 still a great movie! 1. Scream (9/10) - CLASSIC, only word needed.
The First One is the best. The Fifth was AMAZING but you just can't top that first movie.
Just saw scream 5 and I was expecting it to be good I just didn't think it would be that good. One of the few horror franchises I can say doesn't have a bad entry which is impressive 5 movies in. 1. Scream (my earliest love of horror movies) 2. Scream 5 (just brutal and loved the commentary about requels and toxic fandom) 3. Scream 4 (this movie is just fun. The cast is fun, the third act is awesome and the humor was great.) 4. Scream 3 (I really just like the third act and how tortured Sidney is) 5. Scream 2 (never cared much for the mom twist and Olyphant was wasted by not being in most of it.)
Leaving the bloopers is meta as these movies 😄
1. Scream (1996) 2. Scream 2 3. Scream (2022) 4. Scream 4 5. Scream 3
I guess. Scream 5 is #4 for me. Scream 2 will always be the best sequel.
5. Scream 3 4. Scream 2022 3. Scream 2 2. Scre4m 1. Scream Controversial I know
my ranking 5. Scream 3 4. Scream 2 3. Scream 4 2. 5CREAM 1. Scream (1996)
May get hate for this, but here goes: 5. Scream 4 - It misses the mark on the whole remake thing and Scream 2022 does a better job and retroactively makes this one not as good 4. Scream 3 - Ridiculous and borders on parody, but it's kinda fun 3. Scream 2022 - Absolutely nails the meta commentary on requels, while doing the exact same thing 2. Scream 2 - A much better sequel than anyone expected and actually shows how the events of the first one changed each character 1. Scream 1996 - It's a classic for a reason, no contest
5. Scream 3 [5.25/10] 4. Scream 4 [8.50/10] 3. Scream 2 [8.75/10] 2. Scream (2022) [9.25/10] 1. Scream (1996) [9.75/10] *Edit:* I commented this before watching the video, and I didn't even expect our lists to be identical!
My ranking of the Scream films: 1. Scream 5 2. Scream 3. Scream 2 4. Scream 4 5. Scream 3
1. Scream 1996 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 2 4. Scream 3 5. Scream 2022
Great video. This is my ranking: 1. Scream 1 2. Scream (2022) 3. Scream 3 4. Scream 2 5. Scream 4 I want to add that my 3rd and 4th rankings were the most difficult and you could flip those. The reason they were difficult for me is because although I think the storyline for Scream 2 is better than Scream 3 and in my opinion Mickey is a better Ghostface than Roman, I just really thought that the opening and final scenes were better in Scream 3 than they were for Scream 2.
1. Scream 1996 2. Scream 2022 3. Scream 3 4. Scream 2 5. Scream 4
I have the exact same ranking as you I love the first so much the fifth was great the second was good the fourth was bad and the third I had to search up who the killer was and everything that happened in that movie because I couldn't even remember anything
Here’s my ranking: 5. Scream 3(I still enjoy it) 4. Scream 4 3. Scream 2 2. Scream 2022 1. Scream We have the same ranking lol
For me #5 is scream 3, #4 is scream 2, #3 is the newest scream 5, #2 is scream 4 and #1 is the first scream movie 👌🏻
My ranking(I like all these movies): 1. Scream 5 2. Scream 2 3. Scream 4. Scream 4 5. Scream 3
Thoughts on a mini tv series about Billy and stu killing maureen and then planning the attacks? Including clips of the phone calls?
Surprised seeing Scream 4 this low on your list. My list would be: - Scream 2 - Scream - Scream 4 - Scream 3 - Scream 2022 I guess I will grow to appreciate Scream 2022 more over time. I felt the same about Scream 4 when I first saw it but I started to like it more with every new watching.
Rarely does a list have all solid entry's like this, & Scream managed to do it
5.Scream 3 4.Scream 4 3.Scream 2 2.Scream 5 1.Scream 1
Awesome list man! Love just about all of these additions in this amazing franchise. My list: 1. Scream 1996 2. Scream 2 3. Scream 2022 4. Scream 4 5. Scream 3
I rank them the same also. But all brilliant
My rankings are the same as yours. But I was wondering, is Chandler your middle name or last name?
Hey Sean, do you know there is a scream 6 coming next year?
My ranking: 5. Scream 3 4. Scream 4 3. Scream 2 2. Scream (2022) 1. Scream I like all of them though. Easily my favorite horror franchise.
1. Scream - 10 out of 10 2. Scream 2 - 9 out of 10 (criminally underrated) 3. Scream (2022) - 8.5 out of 10 4. Scream 3 - 7 out of 10 5. Scream 4 - 7 out of 10 Scream 2’s impeccable world building by establishing the Stab franchise based on Gale’s book is HIGHLY under appreciated. No way any of these sequels that crib off of Stab can be placed over Scream 2. Not mention it’s brilliant opening sequence and perhaps 3 most intense sequences in the ENTIRE FRANCHISE: Randy’s death, the cop car sequence, and Gale’s film archives chase. Also, Sidney’s role in the play Cassandra is also greatly done. Scream 2 is it phenomenal and it demands respect 🤣
My ranking 5 - Scream 3 (2000) 4 - Scream 2 (1997) 3 - Scream (2022) 2 - Scream 4 (2011) 1 - Scream (1996)
Recently I’ve been getting into Movie-Movies, if you know what I mean, like outside of popcorn movies. Pulp Fiction, The Irishman, Inglourious Basterds, A Few Good Men etc. and have been really enjoying a lot of Horror franchises and movies, and Scream has gotta be one of the best of those franchises. Only one I haven’t seen is the 3rd one. 1. Scream(2022) 2. Scream 3. Scream 2 4. Scre4m Honestly I was surprised I liked the new one more than the original(saw the original like 3 years ago) but there’s not a Scream movie I don’t like.
