North Koreans tell BBC they are stuck and waiting to die - BBC News

2023 ж. 14 Мау.
5 326 258 Рет қаралды

Three North Koreans want to tell the world about the situation in the country.
They expose, for the first time, the disaster unfolding there since the government sealed the borders more than three years ago starvation, brutal crackdowns and no chance to escape.
Under the tyrannical rule of Kim Jong Un, North Koreans are forbidden from making contact with the outside world.
A spokesperson for the North Korean government has disputed the claims, which they said were “not entirely factual”.

    • @@ChristopherGray00 The US government has wet dreams about this level of control. Why hasn't our government done anything to fix the water crisis in flint, MI . Because all the US government cares about is money. Did you know nancy pelosi makes over 100k a year? Both sides of the political spectrum in the US are corrupt. not just republicans, but both democrats and republicans, not much different from china's political system, china is a one party system, the US technically has many political parties but the only people who ever have a chance are those that align to one of the two main ones, being republican or democrat, i am certainly grateful for the privileges and freedoms i do have. However the US is being influenced by china. Hunter biden and Joe biden have both benefited from trade with both China and Russia and Ukraine. Biden isn't innocent. In fact the world Is laughing at the US right now.

    • In the West, the individual is the basic unit that all of society is ordered around, and the power is diffused within rule by the many. In Asia, the emphasis is on the group, or the clan, and to govern so many, power is routed primarily through a few individuals. The defining issue of our era is deciding which system will dominate the other and triumph. Only one will be applied all over the world in the future. Its no longer about capitalist vs communist, that is yesteryear's conflict. And each system benefits some at the expense of others. The Chjnese or North Korean leaders say that in the West, ppl may not be starving to death, but that they are still wage slaves that are given the illusion of political choice. the system never adapts to address their problems, so ppl use drugs to dull the pain of being a voiceless consumer who will be forgotten bc they could not afford to start a family and worked for a corporation their entire life. The challenge of being blessed with wealth is actually more arduous than the challenge of poverty. Its why most lottery winners end up destroying their lives.

The last thing the CCP needs to see is their communist neighbor's regime fall, even if people know how bad it is, because that would worry the Chinese government that their people will want to transition to democracy/capitalism as well. It also has the possibility of becoming a nuclear if Kim's nukes are as capable as he says they are. Of course, the US could easily obliterate them with nukes but it's too risky a situation to risk China getting involved or even a potential nuclear strike on western soil. It's not like WWII where at the point the Allies liberated the concentration camps, the Nazis were already majorly losing the war, and had no shot at ever coming back, whereas North Korea still has a sort-of ally with China, and the regime won't collapse for another few decades. Also, his plan is still an invasion of the South and plans to slaughter 20 million people against their ideology, and 10 million out of a total of 50 million people in Korea are expected to flee the country in the event of a war. Unlike political dictatorships in China and Russia, North Koreans are still trapped in the 1950s. Just like how a mother's pain of losing a child will not lessen just because another mother lost two children. You can understand that others have it worse than you without taking away from the pain you are currently suffering. Besides, do we really want to live in a world where people are less sad solely because they see others suffering worse than them? That would slowly turn toxic over time.

It has been their coldwar propaganda for decades to promote their failed demoncratic system. Most of them were fake news. FYI NKoreans love their govt so much because they get everything for free. Like free homes, free food, free education, free medicals, and no taxes, bills, rents or fees to pay. They are living with zero debts and they go to work just for an allowance to buy snacks and other non-essential goods while most people around the world must work like slaves everyday or else they will starve and lose their homes.
