Electric Soldier Porygon episode was probably the biggest controversy, since it could literally end the entire Pokemon franchise back in the 90s of XX century. When it comes to Ash losing to Alan in generation 6 anime the fans were just too fed up with the same scenario that Ash loses in every major region tournament, and in generation 7 he finally won the Alola regional pokemon tournament.
The Gen 7 anime is an absolute gem - it's a shame so many people hardly gave it a chance.
I agree about the controversary about the battle with Alain. In fact, I feel Pokemon was trying to make up for it ever since, (making Ash the Champion of Alola and the reigning Monarch of the World Coronation Series). Not to mention, Pokemon denied us a re-match in said World Coronation Series that could've had Ash defeat Alain fair and squire, but- Anyway, I don't feel anything will be able to make up for that battle, no matter what.
XY was god awful, but at least the writers had enough sense to understand that Ash beating Alain would have been completely jumping the shark and would have ruined the series forever

I wasn't angry watching Ash losing to Alain in the final...I was just disappointed...what's even worse is that Alain's Mega Charizard getting one shot by Leon's Charizard made even lesser sense...it made Ash look like a joke who is actually the anime protagonist!
Yes, Leon VS Alain was awful lol. The power scaling itself kinda made sense, but the execution was not good.
Honestly, that whole tournament was disappointing from the matchups to 3 Pokemon only even in the final 8.
@@dragonmaster3030 - They spent their entire animation and writing budget on the Ash VS Leon & Ash VS Cynthia battle episodes...most of the other battles apart from Cynthia VS Iris were just poor execution

I feel every decision is controversy after Gen4 for anime and Gen5 for games. People can find a reason to complaining for every change.

It does make for fun content at times.
This might be talked about a lot, but the removal of sex-locked clothes and hairstyles is a recent controversy that started in SV because the scrapping makes the boy or girl option pointless. People are fine with picking male or female based on the preferred designs for their custom characters. Japan is also mad about the androgynous designs.
That's interesting. There was also uproar around not being able to outfit characters with skirts back when the game was released (I may have touched on that in a video I made back then, but I can't remember).

The issue wasn't so much Dexit as it was that despite them cutting half the Pokemon, the animations were still recycled and the game was still crap.

For the Dexit portion, if Game Freak axed something like the ability to find or use shiny Pokemon or the ability to battle Pokemon competitively at all, would that still be a minute non-issue to the "mass majority"? Because that really wouldn't be much different from cutting the National Dex. Everyone has a favorite Pokemon, but some of us cherish said favorites with utmost care and want to carry over those bonds to the latest releases. Literally no different from the type of relationships and bonds shown in the ANIME. So what if not everybody likes to transfer their specific favorites? Not everybody who plays the games likes to shiny hunt, breed or play competitive. Why should the ones who have beloved main stays be singled out? Pokemon is a game all about customization and playing how YOU want to play. Cutting out such crucial features of the series like having every past Pokemon available severely harms that customization aspect. It really frustrates me to no end when Pokemon fans brush off and act like such a crucial core part of what makes Pokemon special is a non-issue that only "Internet Babies" care about.

Honestly the tobias fight annoyed me more then any other. Just for the fact how dues ex machina his opponent felt. Literally throwing out fair and honest pokes but op legendaries out there. If he had lost to a normal opponent running none of those legendaries it would be fine but that fight felt so rigged, if that makes any sense, it annoyed me.
Man, all of these are very true about all the Pokémon controversy even through English, Italian Japanese version. This is really interesting to see all of this stuff. within every international incident controversies.❤😮😊

It's tragic that Porygon had to take the bullet for Pikachu, maybe someday it'll show up in the anime. As for the Alan battle, keep in mind that Ash defeated both Steven and Leon. Two people who Alan wasn't able to beat, so I that balances it out.

Haven't bought a Pokemon game since USUM thanks to Dexit. Can't say I've lost any sleep over it.
SS didn’t exactly move the series forward in big ways, but my main issue is how the worlds have begun to feel hollow in recent years. SV was a lot of fun but the towns were vacuous and the world feel wasn’t anywhere near ad rich as I’d hoped it would be. Even so, it was a good time if you’re looking to jump back in to the games some day.
Trust me, once porygon (and its family) return in anime, it will break the internet, even for those who dont watch pokemon
Goh is literally Pokémon Go as a character…his name surely isn’t a coincidence right? I understand the feeling of anime taboo but it’s literally how every game is…you can casually catch legendaries lol
In the game, gunshot wounds can be treated with cheese or they heal on their own after a few seconds (and the character does not have any superpowers like Wolverine or Deadpool).
As with all fandoms out there, there are going to be a few people out there that'd get offended by any sort of changes or simply get angry because of another group of people in the fandom and their beliefs. From these controversies to simply things such as Amourshipping and Pokeshipping they'll be people who'll send some form of death threats or make something worse than it should be. Other than that, I'm still annoyed that Ash lost to Alain and that we didn't get to see more spotlight of the other pokemon characters in the series finale of Ash.
Yes, the unreasonable vocal minority are able to project their voices louder than ever in the age of the internet. The threats to people's safety take matters way too far, though. Agreed on wanting more spotlight on other characters in Ash's final series!

I was never upset about Ash's loss to Alain. It was pretty obvious he was going to lose. People who thought he would win were setting themselves up for disappointment.

He's always set on winning the league, but it certainly looked like was on track to pull it off this time. At the very least, you don't usually see the hero take nothing but Ls to their rival right to the end of the series lol.

I liked Dexit, just wish it hit the 600 club. you get some old faces but it encourages you to use the new Mons, Also stops bloat, like i don't need 20 water lines that do nothing the others don't. And i say this as someone who loves Furfrou, which hasn't appeared on switch yet. Also i loved the fact Alain got curb stomped into the ground so hard that if he ever appears again he will now be remembered for losing so badly people forgot to hate him. Also Ash should have won against him in XY, you will never convince me otherwise, so watching him get destroyed without question made want to watch Leon vs Ash more In wrestling terms it is called passing the heat, if person A wins against person B who has never lost, then when person C topples them they look stronger for it. It's essentially Ash beating Alain because he beat Leon who took Alain out back behind the wood shed Old Yeller style. It also sets-up a better stakes rematch, Alain trying to prove he can win against Ash to redeem his evisceration whilst Ash fighting to put him in his place like should have happened round 1. Now we won't get a rematch anytime soon but we could down the line or in a spin-off series.
So is this something about a group of egotistic maniacs who didn't get the Pokemon they wanted all because of a company who was concerned about their employees sanity over digitising butts it's not like they're gonna leave it at 190 and not add more Pokemon overtime..
