...So 99,999% of all cars? Only ones that are not on the list are old clunkers that are too worthless in price to get attention to any self respecting car thief, since all those new cars can be stolen and are worth to do it, or simply just roll out of their parking spot due electronic parking brake failing like happened to my mom couple winters ago, where driverless car hit her car on parking lot, and cars that are too complicated/unreliable/personal that only the owner knows how to operate the damn thing, so no high as a kite junkie or asshole teenager can take it to joyride since as example one needs to smack the instrument panel just the right spot to get that one loose connector to jump back in place to it to start and keep running....

the fact that Hamond can STAND on the bottom and work on his boat show how low the water really was.
I like how James was the only one that managed to park the boat, despite his boat’s age.
It's not hard when you don't have a whole lot of power to work with, unlike Clarkson's PBR and Hammond's Scarab, which both have a ridiculous amount of power for Vietnam.

America went easy on them. Literally. We shot ourselves in the foot both figuratively and literally in what we could have won in a week. Even at the end they could have leveled all of northern Vietnam if they wanted to.

I just want to say, despite how daft Clarkson appears and behaves, his knowledge and interest in military history is quite extensive, beyond even knowing about the PBR to quite and extent and the Vietnam war history, he has done multiple documentaries on British WW2 raids as well as an entire history on firearms and their role throughout the worlds militaries. Really glad to see him using his money to restore this piece of history.

No matter if u don’t like them, they have a bond, it’s quality viewing, and they will be missed when they stop filming, sadly tv programs are on the decline, I’m grateful that these 3 entertaining men have produced some golden moments, enjoying every minute. 💯💎👍

I'll give Clarkson this, he probably would've spent way more on a real one, and it would've had so many problems. He was smart to build one from scratch.
Is it normal to have a year gap in between episodes? Because getting recommended 'The Grand Tour: Season 4' for the last 360 days straight on amazon for 1 episode I've already seen is kinda irritating.

It's also irritating that Amazon won't let you remove videos and programs from being suggested to you because they'd rather have you waste a ton of time swiping through movies or shows you've already seen or never wanted to watch in the first place, just so you won't notice how pathetically small the available content is.

@@elliottvader2377 I think it's the Toyota Hilux boat. An amphibian converted Hilux with a Honda speed boat engine. Also the Vietnam special, they turned their motorcycles into a boat. Also many episodes with races of car vs boat vs public transportation. So I think it also counts. One where James May uses a sailboat against a Toyota Corolla rental car in New Zealand. Also the episode when they use a hovercraft van, or hovervan. Somehow part boat as well I think.

From what I've heard this episode was so hazardous that Richard Hammond's wife filed for divorce because she was terrified for him she legitimately thought he was going to die and the sad part is he didn't tell her he was doing this, she found out when this episode came out.
They divorced in like 2014 ish dude. Jeremy was dating Lisa by this point.

They do know that if they go faster they'll ride higher in the water, right? They all have V-shaped hulls for riding up at speed, and 2 of them have plenty of power to do just that.
Absolutely right. The PBR Replica is more or less made for speeding in shallow, muddy water. Maybe Clarkson wanted to stick together with the others, to have a good start into the filming time. If it would have worked for the Scarab is not so sure, though. If it something got into the way of a Propeller in high revoultion mode, the gearbox or Propellershaft could break from the rapid stop in Mud. And don't forget about the film team. If they didn't have a Jetboat as well, there was not so good possibility to film a high speed run. And I'm not so sure if Jeremy had really actually bought it. I think they had rented that particular boat and had to be especially careful. I believe him about the price tag though. For the hull shape: It differs from the original design, the hard chine goes mor up at the bow on the original. Clarksons boat has a more modern, more economical V-shape and . Other than that it's pretty well done! Shure it felt very much like the real thing! I absolutely love the action footage they took of that PBR Replica in later parts of this boating expedition!

It was awesome seeing some familiar places in this show. Especially the FCC bar, I sat exactly where they sat and also took a boat on pretty much the same route they took stopping at chau doc.

Amazon Prime Video Nederland coulda done better honestly. Finale was a little weak and the story was far too aimless and scripted
My guess would be,It wasn't a planned finale rather it just became one due to circumstances

Also their amphibious cars. The dampervan, the Triumph Herald Yacht, and the Toybota. At first, the Triumph Herald is the last one floating. In the sequel, the Nissank (which was a step up of the Toybota) made it across the English Channel.
That third boat is my favorite it is beautiful!!!! wow. Have to say Mays boat is the pretties by far!!!
The fact that even Hammond could stand in it gives you a real sight into how shallow it is
