Thank you for watching!
I love how simple the plot of the story is. Yet even so, through the cinematography it becomes an entertaining watch. Young filmmakers, myself included could learn from this. Sometimes its not about having the best dialogue or the best plot. Sometimes it about just putting the viewer on a simple but pleasant ride.
You got what we were thinking while making this. Thank you for a lovely comment.
Your stuff is dope
Very well said!
These were my exact thoughts while watching this😍
İnspiring 🌪
as a person with a bike , i deeply resonate with his sadness . Incredible smooth transition , great colors and sounds . All and all an enjoyable short
Thank you 😇
A guy who doesn't lock his bike up and also parks it around the corner out of sight to make it easy to steal. And then the thing that literally everyone knew was going to happen happens and that resonates with you? Okay.
Literally just a Starbucks ad.
yea same
@@monkeyattackedmyass5435 In hindsight every mistake is visible, but come on; its 2 am, there is no visible spot to lock the bike, you are gonna spend less than 2 minutes inside that shop, aint no way its getting stolen. been there, done that
Being a backyard filmmaking junkie and having a lot of my bikes stolen (thanks nyc and sf) this hit all the bittersweet spots. Great job.
Same.
A love letter to all the bikes we've loved and lost 😭😭
Right 😢
As a cyclist, I am triggered when he didn't lock the bike at the beginning... then later on I knew that would happen lmao
Yup. That was my first thought: you should lock that bike up.
THE CUTS ARE SO CLEAN OMG
Thank you man!
They most definitely are
define "clean editing" means
what he said.
It amazes me how camera movement does a lot for a film. I feel as if many new age filmmakers are not utilizing this technique anymore. Great job!
Lol like 99% of KZhead filmmakers gimbal spam. It is an extremely popular technique
You have the director's eye. The angles, perfect mix of static and moving shots. Continuation and story telling for a simple script is awesome. Keep going!
The best part about this video isn't the theater level image quality. It's the motivated camera movements, the incredible compositions, the shots that needed to be static were. Just incredible and enjoyable to watch. And what a challenge to my shooting. Just beautiful.
This short film is a masterpiece! Everything was perfectly chosen from the choice of music matching the environment, the selection of shot, the angles. A simple yet awesome camera work. The camera angles empowers the theme of the story. The framing emphasizes emotions and there is a balance composition for visual appeal. I love how the lighting adds to the dramatic effect of the film. And the visual style is just perfect, the color grading, and the patterns. The music complements the scenes. And the dialoque is clear and adds relevance. The sound design are fantastic. The simple plot of the story adds emotional impact. It was just amazing how real could this be and like how life throw unexpected situations to us in the most unexpected places. This short film is indeed amazing and well crafted. -Josephen M. Magsalay
wasn't expecting a story but you delivered, thanks man keep sharing your art with the world we'll be watching
This was great! I love the music choices and how the sound design was done to match the environment. Also the coloring of this looks fantastic. Also love the depth of field in your shots! Great work!
Thank you for watching! more to come, cheers!
As an aspiring film maker/videographer and an avid BMX rider who has had multiple bikes stolen over the years, this was very captivating!
Wow, this is amazing. The color grading, the shot selection, sound design, all of it is just fantastic. You are seriously talented dude!!! I can't wait to see you do something longer!!
Thanks a ton!
@@forrainfilmswhat lens and other details did you need to make this short film? And what did you have to do for the color grading?
This is so well crafted. Pacing, shot range, lighting, grade all so sick! Beautifully done!
Thanks a lot!
The sound design and the cinematography was amazing 👏 love how simple it was yet so full of detail.
Camera work, lighting and color grading - So good! Also really nice edit, pacing was niceee
We appreciate it man 😇
What camera do you use bro
@@williammdzibhait says in the title
Oh how I love these cinematic shots ❤
the fact that I've always imagined shooting a "short" with a liquor store scene in a way similar to this is astonishing ! So many like minded people on this earth, I hope you continue this journey and keep it going!! This was AMAZING!!
A minute and 55 seconds reminded me why I love film and cinematography so much. Beautifully captured and conveyed, great job.
This was beautifully done! I love the camera work and the color grading choices! I really liked the decision the camera operator made to push in as the subject was exiting the store. It really added some variety to the scene and kept everything feeling cohesive, especially as the next cut was zoomed out to end the film. Amazing storytelling as well! So much was said with absolutely no dialogue! Definitely looking forward to seeing more work from you!
Thank you! More to come 😇
Excited to see more! 😎@@forrainfilms
I went to school with Abdulhaq and his acting never gets old!!
He is the best!
i kept watching this, so much to learn in this video, from angles, to color grading, to story telling and acting. this is such a masterpiece!
i really like how engaging this film is even tho it's really simple, i think a lot of filmmakers overlook that. great content, excited to see more 👏
the cinematography is insane in this one, well done!
was not ready for the horror ending. a sad and scary film at the same time amazing
Thank you!
Actually my first thought at the beginning was: I would lock the bike ;o)) ... I like the camera work, maybe the colorgrading ist a little bit aggressive for my taste.
I'm afraid this guy has no clue how good he is. U have talent, bro. Keep it up
Oh this was a gem to watch. The plot is simple but the shots and how everything was laid out were all intentional and well done. Very cool short film! Love the colour grading
Thank you!! 😊
I really enjoyed this one ! great shot selections and not to mention a very relatable story 🙃 nicely done 👏🏽
Thanks man!
So good!!! I love it. Especially the shot where you go from panning to handheld at 0:23 ! Such a simple but impactful short.
Thank you so much!
You mean "still"? Like on a tripod or being help up by something?
@@3kdiamond864 I don't understand what you mean...I meant the shot i described. At 0:23
@@forrainfilmsdid you used autofocus in this scene? It keep it nice from him walking up to the camera, and then the pan and you going behind him.
@ Yeah, I used autofocus
This proves that even though a simple story with Great cinematography could be incredibly entertaining. you are talented.
It's dreamy...and emotional... what viewer can watch this and not be engaged with the film's hero, his journey, his life path, as it unfolds from this night.
Nicely done. All your experimenting with camera angles and placement is paying off in this one. Loved the combo of lockoff and tracking shots, and the edit between them. Perfect rhythm. Keep going!
Means a lot, thank you very much!
As a storyteller you can put your main effort on whether the story or the implementation of the story is outstanding. And this shortfilm is a great example of visualizing your idea. After a few seconds I already got the vibe like id be in this situation. Very inspiring! Keep going! 🔥
Wow, thank you!
Great job!! You took a very simple plot and did great work with it. I look forward to seeing more.
love the simplicity of the plot ! Shots we're simple but captivating. great work !
this is so good!! it's refreshing to see creative content here, great job!!

For such a simple concept this was executed so well! Really enjoyed it, the shots, the music the ending too
Thank you very much, We are glad you enjoyed it 😇
That cinematography is gorgeous and the blocking is on point. Love little shorts with no dialogue like this. Awesome job! 🙌
My heart LEAPED for joy when he chose the Starbucks 🤣 great movie, definitely 10/10
This is so good and I don't know why! Great job to the production team :)

YT recommend this great gem! Can’t believe you did this with F2.8, that 12800 ISO is fire 🔥
Great to hear!
This is absolute GOLD. Well done sir. Well done.
The anticipation, the surprise element, the relatability. Nailed it.
Watched it 4 times, absolutely beautiful!
I am very glad you liked it! Thank you for watching!
Camera movements were so smooth!
The first thing I thought while watching this was, 'Bro, that bike can still be stolen at 2am in the morning!" But I forgot about it as I was watching the cool shots and noticing the different angles, only to be vindicated at the end. Nice work!
Instantly subscribed to the channel, simple yet dreamy like file and amazing usage of colours ❤
now this is what i call a creative genius, if you can make this look good, imagine something that looks good
This is awesome! Did you score this too? The beat drop at 1:31 sounded incredible- great work!
Thank you! I wish I could score this, but I got music from Artlist.
this is so amazing luv the plot twist 🎉❤
I'm really inspired by this masterpiece. It's so natural and relatable. Great creativity by the team behind this short movie. I became a fan of the ending.
so sickkk brooo you lost a bike but gained a coffee lol
Haha! Thank you for watching!
This was pretty cool. I'm trying to eventually work my way up to making a short film, and this project is such an inspiration. Your shots were simple yet effective. The framing, focus shift, and adherence to the rule of 3rds were effective. You guys took an everyday concept and made it look like a cinematic experience. Well done!
This is awesome! Love the simplicity and story, also the music is great! Definitely have felt that before!
Oh God this is amazing! It looks great, and with a simple plot - guys, this short film is really good. ❤
Thank you so much!
I love this. Warning: unsolicited advice alert: With muted autoplay, people will scroll past the five seconds of black intro. Change nothing, but maybe write in a cold open or something for the next video so people stop and watch your skills. Happened to me, didn't realise until someone else told me. Short films on YT get hurt because of it. Ignore if irrelevant. Keep going. Great work.
Noted! Thank youu
thats one expensive coffee
Nicely done! From sound design to overall grading and composition, everything was on point. Keep up the good work. :)
Thanks a ton!
It's simply beautiful, no need for a big time span, fascinating dialogue or actions, just how a life of a normal people is. He craves for coffee in 2 am and he went there with his bicycle, it's like a small reward for yourself. When it's a tiring night you went out to get some fresh air and beautiful night view, the lights of Mart welcome you and keep you away from loneliness but a incident happened his bike was not there anymore which was understandable but he didn't worry much about it and let it go as his peace of mind was more important now. Nice cinematography keep it up 😇🥰❤️
I know exactly this feeling. One night i stayed in the library until 3:30 am finishing my assignment, and after that, i made a decision to go for the sunrise. I rode a bike, across the empty city, and stopped at a lawson for a cup of coffee. After that, I kept on cycling and was able to see a sunrise i would never forget.
So stupid video Looks like its advertised about digital prison
This is the best youtube video I've seen this year.
This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for making this :)
Thank you too!
Well, what to say that hasn't been already said. This is simplicity and greatness at it's best. Not only is the image quality worth of a movie, but the camera movements, as well as the stills is just wow. Good work guys, I learned so much in less than two minutes. Prefect!
I was gonna hate it on it at first. But man, it's one of the best short films I've seen on KZhead. The music at the end is "Priceless". It's the most taking an L of all time.
Third time watching this and the turn at the end still has me cackling. I love this so much! Great plot, acting, sound design and cinematography. 🙆🏾♀️
Wow, thank you!
perfect conclusion 👌 and eveyrthing perfect👏
I love how you used different shots for a simple story. I especially loved the last shot where you will turn from front and shot suddenly comes in from back... Quality content man 💯
better than most AAA movies and not a word spoken. well done.
Very inspiring. Simple short film with such beautiful result. Inspired me alot. Would love to do one!
That's heart wrenching. But unfortunately also a gift for someone 😅 Lovely pictures.
Short & Powerful film making. Kudos. (Ivaan G)
This is so simple yet so visually stunning to watch and the humor at the end 👌🏽😂
as a nepali, getting to know there are other nepalese who can film this level of cinematoraphy, feels so proud and sickk dudeee. this is insanee🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love the aesthetic. Gas stations are always cool at night, especially with superb color grading and a (what looks like) 1/4 promist
That was awesome! Gave me a good chuckle. Keep up the good work.
This short film is so amazing! That cliffhanger made me want to see a part 2 🎬🔥🔥 Keep up with the great work guys!!! Can't wait to see more 🏆🏆🏆

This is exactly what happened to me and my friends. We went to a convenient store to buy some snack, bike outside, it only took 30 seconds and the bike is gone, reduced to atoms. Best memory ever!!!
speechless. This is such a master piece
