    • Having multiple livestock guardian dogs can be an effective strategy for deterring and defending against predators like wolves. These dogs work together as a team to protect their charges and can be highly effective in keeping predators at bay. Additionally, utilizing other non-lethal methods such as electric fencing, scent deterrents, and regular human presence on the property can help reduce the risk of predator attacks. It's important for farmers and ranchers to take a proactive and preventative approach to protect their livestock and work with wildlife experts to find the best strategies for their specific situation.

    • Depends on the dog breed.

      @ewilliams19@ewilliams19 Жыл бұрын
    • @@ewilliams19 The breed doesn't really matter. Conditions can be important. It is often necessary to see how wolves find themselves near human dwellings. And this is not objective. What if the dog is placed in a natural environment and freed from the presence of a person? A dog is nothing without a man. She will quickly turn into a lula kebab. Ideally, for the experiment, you need an aviary in the forest per hectare and put two hungry dogs and a wolf identical in age, size and condition in it for a day and see who eats whom.

    • Don't talk about a thing you don't know ! For example first video ,these wolves are bozkurt , it mean grey wolves , they are no different then Siberian or Canadian wolves ! Now. Biggest wolf ever recorded was 175 lbs ! And it is pretty rare ! There is no such a thing as 200 lbs wolf , even dire wolves was around 160 lbs , and dire wolves were 25% bigger then grey wolves ! Now the dog you see in the first video is Aksaray malaklı dog , this dog is min 200 lbs l am guessing he is around 220 lba , yet still these dogs they grow up to 250 lbs ! That's the reason eves look smaller near by him, that's the reason they gave up hunting him and go for easy meal ! 250 lbs dog is as big as a lioness !

  • Here in Brazil we use a native breed of dog called "Fila brasileiro" this breed of dog is used to protect settlers from local indians, protect herds from attacks by jaguars and cougars, heavy hunting and track down runaway slaves, however in the 60's , 70 and 80 they were crossed with Bloodhound and English Mastiff and the original Fila brasileiro almost became extinct, the original Fila brasileiro is a breed of farm dogs, native to Brazil (South America). The breed is made up of the last examples of former queue dogs still preserved on farms of Brazil, and forgotten for decades The Original Fila brasileiro male measures 65 to 75 cm (25.591 inches to 29.528 inches) and weighs 50 to 60 kg (110.231 pounds to 132.277 pounds) and the Original Fila brasileiro females measure 60 to 70 cm (23.622 inches to 27.559 inches) and weigh from 40 to 50 kg (88,185 pounds to 110,231 pounds)

  • You know the answer. Build a V shaped wall with round enclave at the end. You camp at end. Dinner for you. In old times there are many trails like this. 1000's of kilometres long. Every 30km you make them. You keep the horses in the enclosure and makes the horses want to go there anyway. The main predators will circle around, running right into the traps. They are afraid from the firelight. I have seen this thousands of times but it is a forgotten art of survival.

  • You need at least 2 dogs. AT LEAST! Best to have 3 or more. Need to be large and powerful dogs too that can take wolfs head on and all need spiked collars to protect neck from attack. As well as not being chained. Like this no wolf pack would dare to attack them.
