  • Apparently redtail surf perch is the only one that has to be at least 10.5 inches in order not to be hit by fish n game just a heads up for everyone, be safe all and have fun!

  • Hot tip. Collect a bunch and flash boil them. They turn orange when done and you can freeze and keep them for a long time. I've had at least the same hookup rate if not better on the cooked orange ones than live. I bet it has something to do with the fact that they are very similar in color to the eggs under them. But it's awesome when they are hard to find

  • The most likely reason people think they're mushy is that they did what you did.... failed to put them on ice right away! Trout are the same way. I kept a stringer of trout on a stringer in a "cold" lake for hours until I had my limit. When I went to clean them they were mushy. Guys at the cleaning station sold me my error. I learned. I know it's often impractical, but ice is the answer. Nice film! Got my surf perch juices flowing. Heading for Monterey next week... with a fish cooler. :)

  • A super enjoyable video with great sunset lighting. Those "surf" water conditions were calmer than my last pool lap swim. The setting looked like an exotic south pacific island with a barefoot local in shorts catching dinner. That spot looks like where "THE" surf caster fishes. I'm usually battling frequent (5) as you can see, short set waves. Great vid!! And yes, with lots of catching (and how to do it). Lots of catching is usually or not normal?? Or is it? Very obedient dog!!

      @SuperSizedMale@SuperSizedMale3 жыл бұрын
  • What's the difference between a fish finder rig and a carolina rig, other than the size weight used? The concept seems the same in which the sinker slides freely, and a single hook is used with a varying length of leader. If you were to put a 3 ounce egg sinker on a c-rig, it's accomplishing the same technique. Please explain if I'm missing something.

    @edcastillo4456@edcastillo44563 жыл бұрын
